Izuku rubbed at his temples, frustrated as he pieced together all of the information that he heard.

"S-so you're me... right?" His own voice plucked him out of his thoughts and he turned towards his 'other' self.

"Yeah I'm you, just.. from a different timeline, i guess." Izuku or Azuku as he started to call himself, so as to not confuse this world's Izuku, blew out with a tired sigh.

"Then w-what is your w-world like?" Izuku asked.

Azuku looked towards his other self that sat on his bed, long since calming down after his initial freak out. Azuku saw how Izuku was interested in his story.

He guessed he might as well tell him, after all, Izuku had told him his own life story from his perspective that filled in some blank spaces in his own information. It was only fair after all.

"My world was... not all to nice exactly." he began "Mom died back when I... we(?) were six and I've been living on my own ever since."

Izuku's emotions took a sharp dive at hearing that his mother had died in another world, however, Azuku wasn't done as of yet.

"After that most of my life was a struggle to stay alive. Society fell, cities were destroyed and even many pro heroes died." He said, "I don't know what happened to ka- Bakugou, if he is even alive or not and well I'm pretty sure you could understand that society wasn't all to kind we were in the apocalypse after all." He ended off.

Regaining his voice after a while Izuku asked another question. "what happened t-to your w-world."

"We were over ran by monsters and only very few people lived beyond that. Safe to say, unlike your world mine is a wasteland."

Realizing Azuku was done with his explanation of his world, his eyes drifted down to the book that hung around his neck. "T-then what a-about this?"

"It's what brought me to this world and put us in our current predicament" Azuku groused, not caring if his other saw him glaring at the book around his neck like it was the greatest evil of the world.

"Can we... switch places a-again?" Izuku asked curiously, then a strange feeling overcame him and suddenly he was staring back at Azuku who looked whole this time while he himself was transparent.

"...Ok.. this is gonna take some getting used to." Azuku said, looking at the astral form of Ixuku who for some reason looked like a kid in a candy shop.

Huh why did he look like tha- Oh

This was technically like a quirk huh? Yeah it was and he could already hear Izuku beginning to mumble about the possibilities of what they could do together with this discovery.

A stray thought then hit Azuku.

How good would their analytical prowess be together?

1 week later

Short answer, it was pretty damn good.

"Holy cow it's so much easier to analyze quirks like this." Izuku's astonished voice broke though Azuku's own appreciation of there work.

Before them was a mess of notes and sketches, each of different heroes and villains they analyzed from re-watching old fights on Izuku's computer.

"Yeah we make a good team huh?" Azuku hummed appreciatively, wherever there were quirks or special moves Izuku had analyzed it with the efficiency of a supercomputer. That, or he had insane memorization skills while when it came to combat and fighting styles Azuku was able to pick apart the moves in seconds. Not because he was a master at combat but because he had fought long enough to realize when a punch or a kick could be useful or detrimental.

Together, they had both broken down and took apart many heroes fighting styles, habits, and quirks to a frightening degree.

Let it be known that when two individuals who love analyzing things are put in the same room together, you better expect them to walk out with some information.

Izuku nodded enthusiastically at Azuku's words, "Yeah we may even be able to get into UA at this rate." He said hopefully.

"Hmm I didn't tell you did I?" Azuku asked, rubbing his chin.

"What didn't you tell me?"

"I already took the UA entrance exam a week ago the results should be here soon" He replied nonchalantly, blissfully unaware of how still Izuku went.

"You took the entrance exam AND DIDN'T TELL ME!?" Azuku was caught off guard by Izuku's sudden outburst and had little time to react when the boy grabbed him by his collar (how did he do that?) and began shaking him like crazy.

"What was the exam like!? Were there any heroes!? Was kacchan there!? How was UA like up close!?" There was stars in Izuku's eyes as he rattled off a million questions at his poor counter part who didn't have the time nor the ability to respond and he was violently shaken from side to side by an excited Izuku.

"IZUKU THE RESULTS ARRIVED!" luckily, Azuku was spared when his mother called out to him about the test results. The boy from a ruined world could've sworn his counter part developed a speed quirk right then and there with how fast he disappeared out of his room.

He silently thanked his mother while he slumped to the ground, he was also grateful she didn't scream her lungs out when 'her' Izuku barreled into the living room with all the subtlety of a runaway freight train.

Both he and Izuku at least had the foresight to tell his mom about their situation so as to not complicate things in the future and had been able to get a pass their situation off as a quirk to the doctor that examined him to get the registration.

Azuku just hoped his life sharing a body with an alter version of himself wouldn't be to difficult...

Oh who was he kidding, his luck was shit, he'd be happy to get jumped by a villain in the first week of attending UA.

"You know I think lady luck has it out for us." The casual words that left Azuku's lips didn't match the situation they were in at all.

How they both ended up stumbling on to a drug trafficking ring when they were just training in preparation for whatever was to come for there first day at UA was beyond either of them.

That and the fact of Azuku's offhanded joke about Izuku developing a speed quirk was off.

Currently standing in a warehouse (cliche i know) surrounded by unconscious thugs was one Izuku Midoriya, the unofficial owner of their shared body, and the now proud -read: shocked- owner of a velocity quirk that allowed him to control the speed of moving objects.

An expected offshoot of his mother's and father's quirk if they were both being honest.

"Ba-baut I- wasn't I-" Izuku stuttered, trying to make heads or tails of his newly awakened power he had gotten during the fight with the thugs.

"Well the mystery of how you always got away from Katsuki and his goons is now solved." he laughed, it wasn't something he did often, but his other self was just funny to watch especially when he floundered around.

Then he started crying.

Well shit.

Azuku awkwardly patted his other on the back as he broke down from finally having a power to call his own.

Yep life in a new world was definitely going to be strange moving forwards.

A/N: Hey ya it's been A while but I'm back and writing. Like I said before this story isn't all to serious and this chapter is pretty short just to set back up the story moving forward.

And yes I gave Izuku a quirk. Despite how much I might think a Quirkless hero Deku could be a possibility Realistically, it isn't but his quirk isn't. doesn't mean it's gonna be easy thats for sure, so expect a lot of quirkless fighting at least.

Apocalypse!Izuku will be known as Azuku going forward incase you haven't picked up on that yet and Izuku will be the main pilot of their shared ody.

in any case I will be changing the summary.

Hope you enjoyed and Criticism is welcomed.
