Chapter 20

After a while, Katrina and Odom decide to find Connie and the others once they learn that Reiner and Bertolt are with them and the Titans are in South Wall Rose. As for Peter, he decides to go with Sasha to her hometown, while Eren stays with Aya, Mikasa, Armin, and Jean in Stohess.

And while they're doing it, Commander Hange and the other scouts find Colossal Titans in the wall, and Pastor Nick knows why they're there, but refuses to say anything.

Odom and Katrina are riding on their horses when Odom asks, "Damn it... why did the Titans have to appear right now..."

"Do you think those people from Marley managed to get past Wall Rose and turn some people into Titan?" Katrina asks.

"Damn it... who in the right mind would've done that?" Odom mutters.

(Flashback)

"Eren, Aya, did you get into another fight?" Carla asks.

"Those jerks started it! They made fun of Aya!" Eren says while Aya lowers her head.

"So, I assume that Mikasa had to come to your rescue again?" Carla asks.

"More like being dragged into the fight." Aya mutters.

"No matter how cruel someone is or how much you hate them, you can't always charge at them head-on!" Carla says while cleaning Eren's face.

"But they hurt Aya..." Eren mutters.

"You need to show some restraint." Carla says.

(Flashback Ends)

Eren wakes up and sees Mikasa still sleeping, the scarf falls as he picks it up. Mikasa wakes up and asks, "That..."

"It fell." Eren says. "You gotta be tired. Go get some sleep."

He looks over to another bed and sees Aya still sleeping. "Aya has been really tired, for some reason she can't turn into a Female Titan..."

"Yeah..." Mikasa says.

Aya slowly wakes up and says, "Is Katrina back?"

"You're worried about my sister? She hasn't returned yet." Eren frowns.

"Eren! Mikasa! Aya! We have bad news!" Armin yells. "The Titans! They're inside Wall Rose!"

"Oh, that? We know." Eren says, "That's why Katrina and Odom left early."

"Wait, what? Aren't they going with Sasha to her hometown?" Armin asks.

"That's Peter." Aya says. "But I trust both Katrina and Odom will be fine."

At the same time, Katrina and Odom are passing by as they see some Titans. But the one looking like a gorilla grabbed Miche's horse.

"The Beast Titan... that means..." Odom gasps.

"According to Eren's future memories... our brother... Zeke." Katrina says. "He's controlling the Titans. We have to stop him."

"Commander Miche!" Odom and Katrina try to kill the Titans while approaching him. Miche notices them, but his legs are bitten off.

"Wolff! Yeager! Leave! Stay away!" Miche yells.

"But..." Odom asks.

"Go!" Miche yells.

Katrina and Odom frown as they can't save Miche from being eaten, they grit their teeth and leave with tears in their eyes. As for the Beast Titan, he widens his eyes after hearing someone with the same last name.

"Wait!" The Beast Titan says. He squeezed the Titan and freed Miche.

"Tell me, what is that weapon called?" The Beast Titan asks. "That thing on your waist that flies around."

Miche is surprised and speechless. "Huh. I'm certain we speak the same language. Perhaps you're simply too frightened. Oh, I see you use swords, too. I guess that means you know we reside in the nape. Ah, well, I'll just take it back with me."

The Beast Titan takes his gear and asks another question, "And those two that just fled, did you say one of them is Yeager? I never knew someone with the same last name as me living here... Whatever."

Then he has the Titans kill Miche, Katrina, and Odom hear the screams of pain, and grit their teeth. Odom says, "Damn it... Commander Miche is a lost cause as well..."

"His death won't be in vain. We need to find Connie, Krista, and the others." Katrina says. "Our big brother can wait."

Eren, Aya, Mikasa, and Armin are now sitting in the wagon, and Aya says, "Eren... do you think it is the work of them? The Armor Titan and the Colossal Titan?"

"I don't think so..." Eren says, "I was afraid that it is actually him..."

"Him? Who are you talking about?" Mikasa asks.

"Another one of the Titan shifters like me and Katrina... I might be able to see the future, but I can only see glimpses of it." Eren says.

"I see... but how did he do it? There are no crevices between the rocks or any signs of cracking." Armin says.

Aya decides to switch the topic and says, "Mikasa, Armin, do you know that the walls are made of Titan hardening?"

"You mean the thing that Annie did?" Armin asks.

"Yeah." Eren says. Before they can continue, Levi, Hange, and Erwin arrive with the priest.

"Wait, isn't this a priest from the Order of the Walls?" Pastor Nick asks.

"Yeah. Nick and I are best buddies." Hange says, "But where are Katrina, Peter, and Odom?"

"They left once they heard the Titans in Wall Rose..." Eren says. "They are worried about Connie and the others."

"I see..." Levi mutters. "So it is just you guys... Glad you didn't have Aya go with them or I'll kill you myself."

"Stop being overprotective, Dad." Aya mutters.

"So can you tell us about the Titans in the walls?" Armin asks Pastor Nick.

"We've tried to ask him, but he kept his mouth shut this entire time." Hange says.

"Maybe I can answer that, I remembered my father told Katrina and me about the story of the walls." Eren says, but Pastor Nick flinches and says, "You can't do it! Please!"

"And why not?" Aya asks. "People need this information to survive. Or are you really into that stupid vow?"

"Vow?" Levi asks. "What vow?"

"Please just stop..." Nick is terrified, and it causes Eren and Aya to frown.

Sasha and Peter manage to get to the village, and Peter says, "I heard that you're from the hunter family, right?"

"Yeah..." Sasha says as she tells him about the past with his father.

"I see, I can't say that your father was wrong, since life is hard in these areas." Peter says. "And sometimes you can't do anything alone after all."

"What about you? Peter?" Sasha asks. "How is your family?"

"Our family used to live in the rivers in the forest near Shiganshina. We used to catch lake a lot of fish, not just for us to eat, but also for the market deals." Peter says.

"No wonder you're the Ocean Titan." Sasha says. "But still, it has been 3 years since I get back to the village. I hope he realized something and fled with my family..."

But then they noticed the Titan footprints on the ground and they widen their eyes in horror. "It can't be...they're here as well?" Peter asks.

"This place isn't safe for people anymore." Sasha is horrified.

Then they see a new village in front of them and they are surprised, they find a girl sitting in front of a Titan, who seems to be devouring her mother. Peter takes out his blades and kills the Titan, while Sasha grabs the girl and leaves.

"What is your name?" Sasha asks.

The girl is still shocked, and Peter says, "Don't worry. It'll be okay."

"What will?" Just then, Sasha accidentally release the reins and the horse just runs. Peter says, "Sasha! How could you be so careless?"

Sasha says, "I'll get it back! Don't worry!" As she tries to blow the whistle, the girl says, "Why are you so nice when you talk?"

"Is there a reason?" Peter asks, but as another Titan appears, Sasha says, "Peter, you take the girl and get on the horse!"

"Are you sure?" Peter says as he jumps on his horse with the girl and leaves, while Sasha grabs her bow and arrow and she also runs.

"Why? Everyone already left." The girl says. "The whole village knew my mother's legs were bad. But not a single person came to help. All I could do was watch."

Before Peter can answer, they see Sasha almost fall off the bridge, but manages to chase them. "Don't worry about it."

"As expected from the girl who has been running since day 1 of the Training Camp..." Peter thinks.

"It's okay." Sasha mutters as she remembers the conversation with Christa and Ymir.

"Hey, listen up. You'll be fine. We have to run as far as we can. I promise that someone will be there to help you." Sasha says. "We might not find them right away...but still, we'll keep moving forward."

Sasha stops and says, "Peter! Now go!" Then she stops as she tries to shoot an arrow at the Titan, she considers buying them time by blinding the Titan and climbs a short incline for a better shot. Her second shot misses, leaving her with only two arrows. Her third shot is a direct hit in the Titan's eye, and Sasha prepares to fire her last shot, reminding herself that failure would mean putting Peter and the girl's life at risk.

She throws her bow away, taking the arrow and charging at the Titan to stab it directly in its other eye. The Titan attempts to grab her, but Sasha manages to shove herself out of its grip thanks to the blood soaking its chest.

Peter and the girl are still running and they manage to find some people on the way. "Our friend is in trouble, can you guys help us?" Peter asks.

The group stares at them before the man says, "Lead the way."

But just as they run, they find Sasha already getting away from the Titan. "Huh? Sasha?" The man who accepted Peter's help asks.

"Dad!" Sasha gasps in surprise.

After giving Sasha a horse to ride, Peter notices that the girl is now crying. "We've been giving horses to everyone in the area. That boy and the girl told us that someone was still back there. Who'da thunk it was you? You fought off a Titan for that girl, didn't ya?"

He smiles, "Sasha, yer all I've hoped for."

Sasha gasps, and Peter is smiling at her. "Father... I'm home..."

At the same time, Katrina and Odom arrive at Ragako Village, and Katrina asks, "Connie! Reiner! Christa! Are you here?"

Odom also searches around the area and he says, "They must've left...and there is nobody in the village as well..."

"The horses are here, but there isn't any blood..." Katrina says as she notices a Titan lying on top of a house. "That's..." Katrina gasps.

"A Titan?" Odom asks. "What is it doing there?"

Katrina widens her eyes, "Don't tell me... The Beast Titan turned everyone in this village into Titans? That means the ones that Miche killed and killed Miche... do you think they're Connie's family?"

"Katrina, did you have the serum? Can you use it?" Odom asks.

"I'll try." Katrina tries to inject the serum into the Titan, and much to their surprise, the Titan starts to melt, and a woman is lying on the bed.

"Connie..." The woman mutters. And Katrina and Odom rush toward the woman. "Are you okay?"

"Connie... where is he..." The woman mutters.

"Are you perhaps... Connie's mother?" Katrina asks.

"You know Connie?" The woman tries to sit up, and Odom helps her. "We're in the same Training Camp. But it seems like he isn't here, and so isn't the others... Where are the other members of the village?"

"I... I don't remember..." Connie's mother says.

"It's fine. Right now we have to take her inside Wall Sina." Odom says.

"I'll carry her, Odom, you go find Connie and the others." Katrina says.

Odom nods as he leaves, Katrina helps the old woman onto the horseback as they ride to Stohess to see if her brother is still there.

And here is a new chapter, and as you can see, Katrina used up the serum to save Connie's mother, and Odom is also trying to find others while Peter and Sasha manage to find the Barus family. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the Utgard Castle.
