But first, let's get to the reviews!
Skull Berry: I agree. I normally suck at writing romance, but I can't completely rule it out. But it's hard to write a relationship as complicated as Peter and Mary Jane and put it in the story as two different people. Especially considering the banter between the two is shrouded in history and chemistry. I'll give a try though. And thanks, I'll be sure to work on the pacing.
As always, I encourage y'all to review and I will try to respond to the best of my ability.
Also, sorry if this chapter is late, I'm currently going through a transition in life.
And with that being said, LET'S GET IT!!!!
My Hero Academia is owned by Kohei Horikoshi. Spider-Man is owned by Steve Ditko (RIP) and Stan Lee (RIP).
The UA Entrance Exam. The day finally came as Mei and I stood in front of the large building of U.A. High School. A year ago, this was a dream I thought would never happen. Guess I can wake up to reality.
"Dude, you're daydreaming again," Mei giggles. "If you start drooling, I'm taking a picture."
I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry," I say. "I just can't believe I'm here."
I stared at the building in front of me. "I'll be training in the same place that he trained." A tear rolled down my face.
"Your dad would be proud, Izuku." Mei said, solemnly.
My father was a Pro Hero who was able to breathe fire. Unfortunately, he was killed by a wannabe robber when I was young. We were walking late at night, having just gotten Popsicles, when a guy sprinted across the street with a bag of money. The store owner yelled, "Stop him! He took my money!!"
My dad told me to run home as the guy came to our side of the street. I never moved as the guy tripped and a gun fell out of his pocket. I was frozen as my dad went to grab the robber and his gun. I watched as he and my dad struggled over the gun and then watched him drop to his knees as the robber shot him twice.
My father, who I often thought was invincible, died in front of me. The robber of course was arrested and sentenced. But my father never got to see-
"Dude, come here," Mei says, pulling me into a hug. "I know it hurts, but I know he'd be proud of you."
I let the tears flow down my face and onto Mei's shoulder. She hugged me tightly. It took me a minute to calm down.
"You ok," Mei asked, concerned. "You ready to go in?"
"Just give me a minute."
Mei nodded. "Fine, but if you're not inside in ten minutes, I'm dragging you in by your ankles."
"Okay, okay!" I chucked.
I continued to stare at the building, wiping my eyes as Mei walked in. "He would be happy for me," I thought with a smile. "I promise to make you proud, Dad."
"Hey, Deku, get outta my way."
I recognized the voice immediately. The voice belonged to my childhood friend turned bully, Katsuki Bakugou. I continued facing the school.
"Hello, Kacchan," I deadpanned. "You're looking angry as usual."
"You Quirkless and deaf? I said, get outta my way, you damn nerd!" He pushed me hard, and I tripped. I quickly braced myself for the fall.
After a few seconds, I realized that I was floating a few inches off the ground.
"Hey, are you okay? Sorry to use my Quirk on you, but I'd hate for anyone to have bad luck on their test day."
I got to my feet and stared into the eyes of a brown-haired girl with the brightest smile I'd ever seen. In embarrassment, I scratched the back of my head and nervously chuckled.
"Oh, thanks." I said, sheepishly as I got to my feet. She deactivated her Quirk.
"Good luck!" she replied, walking into the school.
I watched her walk in. There was something about her that…intrigued me. I wanted to thank her and yet I didn't know her name. I went inside, hoping I would find her.
I walked into the auditorium. I didn't find her as she was lost in the thousands of applicants all eager to take the Entrance Exam. I quickly found a seat as Present Mic took the stage.
"WHAT'S UP UA APPLICANTS," he yelled excitedly. "CAN I GET A HELL YEAH???"
Silence filled the room.
"Yeesh, tough crowd," the Voice Hero grimaced. "Anyways, welcome to the UA Entrance Exam! I know you are all excited to take this test. There's been a lot of speculation on the physical test and I will explain it now."
A screen appeared on the stage with four silhouettes.
"Today, you'll be fighting robots," Present Mic explained. "These robots are worth 1, 2, or 3 points respectively. Every robot you defeat adds to your total score."
I began to formulate my plan. "My goal should be to take out as many 2-pointers as possible. More than likely, there'll be more 1- and 2-pointers than 3-pointers and judging by the 3-pointer silhouette, it'll be difficult to destroy-"
"Excuse me! You, the green-haired boy!"
My eyes turned to a dark blue-haired boy with glasses. "You've been muttering this whole time," he said, accusingly. "It's distracting. If you're here on a pleasure cruise, you should leave immediately!"
I rolled my eyes, and before I could catch myself, I said, "Yeesh, sorry Dad…" causing some giggles.
"Alright, settle down, listeners," Present Mic said. "To answer your question, the fourth bot is known as the Zero-pointer, named because whether you defeat it or not, it has no effect on your score. So I would just run away from it. Does that answer your question?"
"Yes sir, it does!" The bespectacled teen said, stiffly as he sat down.
"Okay," Present Mic announced. "So now begins the written portion of the exam."
Once Present Mic gave the rules for the written exam, I started immediately. The test basically covered Basic Hero Law and Standards. Something I could pass in my sleep. I turned my test in and went to the locker room to change.
Once everyone had finished testing, we all took a bus to our respective testing sites. I got off at testing site B, wearing a black t-shirt and baggy sweatpants, a green hoodie, and my favorite red gym shoes.
I began stretching and working out a strategy when someone caught my eye. More specifically, the girl who helped me earlier.
"I should go and thank her." I walk over to her when suddenly I feel a hand gripping my shoulder.
"Excuse me, are you trying to bother that girl?"
I sigh, knowing it's the blue-haired boy from earlier. I shrug his hand off me.
"Are you trying to sabotage her chances at passing?" he asks accusingly.
"Dude, what is your deal," I say, slightly pissed. "Why are you all up in my business?"
"Ok applicants," Present Mic said over the intercom. "The Physical Test is about to begin."
I brush past the bespectacled boy and make my way to the front. I slowly grin as the doors open, revealing a cityscape so massive, it could have its own name. Perfect for traversal.
"The test begins in 3…"
I quickly fire two webs, pull back and slingshot my way into the city. I hear a cry of "Hey!" as I start swinging.
"It won't be long till they catch up," I think. "I need to hurry."
I swing a left and on cue, a group of robots turn their attention towards me. I smile as I Web-Zip towards a 2-pointer, kicking straight through it. The rest of the robots charge at me as I flip over three of them. On the last flip, I fire two webs onto the ground and slam my feet into a 3-pointer, crushing it. My Spider Sense goes off as a 1-pointer attempts to turn me into a pancake. I quickly web its eyes and knee it in the face, knocking its head off. I flip over the body and land in front of a 2-pointer. I charge at it, then slide under its massive frame. Then I push myself up and over the unsuspecting robot, twisting to fire a web at the ground. I pull myself into a twist, quickly grabbing the neck of the 2-pointer, and use that momentum to slam the robot on its back.
"8 points," I thought. "Good but not enough."
I fire a web and start swinging through the city.

Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location, Present Mic walks into a room. In the room sits a bunch of heroes, eyes glued to the screens in front of them. On the screens are live recordings of the Physical Exam.
"Good batch of students this year," the Blood Hero: Vlad King exclaimed. "What do you think, Aizawa?"
The Erasure Hero sat watching the screen. "They all have potential, if you can call destroying robots a measure of potential."
"Now, Aizawa," said Nezu. "This test is about more than destroying robots. It tests strategy, mobility, discernment, and of course, pure combat ability."
"You're scoring on how many robots they can destroy in 10 minutes."
Nezu rolled his eyes. "It may look like that to you, but to them, this is a high-scale villain attack. Now let's see how they fare against the boss." He reached forward and pressed a big red button.
—--
"If my math is correct, and it usually is, then I have at least 39 points," I think to myself as I slam a huge rock onto a 1-pointer. "40 points."
I make my way to the middle of the city, hoping to catch some more robots before time runs out. I quickly zip onto a ledge and survey the city.
"Not bad if I do say so myself," I said. "But I need more points. And I doubt they're any more le-"
The building began to shake. A loud BOOM began echoing across the city, and more followed, increasing in volume. My Spider Sense goes haywire as a shadow falls over the city. I look up to see the largest robot I've ever seen in my life, the Zero-pointer. I look down at the street to see panicked students running towards the exit.
Then I see her. The bubbly brunette who saved me from kissing the pavement with my face. She's trapped. On instinct, I jump down and swing to her.
"Hey," I yell, landing next to her. "I got you!" I lift the large slab of concrete off her leg and toss it at a random 3-pointer.
"You okay?" I say, kneeling next to her.
"My ankle," she cries. "I think it's broken!"
"Hop on my back. I'll get you to the exit."
I quickly pull her up and turn around so she can climb on my back. "Hold on tight!"
She grabs me tightly and I slingshot us into the city, quickly swinging and zipping to the exit. I sat her down on a bench.
I turn to the city, watching as the other applicants make their way to the exit.
"There's more people trapped," I think. "And that robot's not stopping. Do I stop the Zero-pointer or do I save the people?
Zero-pointer? People? Think, Izuku, think!"
"LESS THAN TWO MINUTES LEFT!" Present Mic bellows.
"Screw this," I say. "I'm doing both!"
I slingshot back into the city as the Zero-pointer slowly moves closer.
"That thing is huge, but not unbeatable," I think as I scramble up the web. "I gotta cut off its power source! But first!"
I landed in front of a pile of concrete and began pulling it off of a purple-haired boy. I pull him to his feet. "Can you walk?"
"Yeah," he replies. "T-thanks."
"No problem, just get to the exit."
He nods and takes off as chunks of buildings begin to fall to the streets. I look to see more kids beelining for the exit.
"In today's weather forecast, there is a 15% chance of concrete and glass raining from the sky," I quipped, firing a large web net between four buildings. "As for traffic, several road closures today, caused by a maniacal 150-ft tall robot and a handsome boy trying to stop it."
The large chunks of concrete fall into the web as the kids run safely to the exit. I fire a couple of webs at the web net, pulling it back and catapulting them into the robot. One lucky rock hit the eye of the Zero-pointer, causing it to shatter.
"Score!" I say, zipping to the arm of the robot.
I quickly run up the arm, using my webs to pull me up. The robot spots me and tries to squish me like a mosquito. I jump to the side, avoiding the arm as it smashes through the other arm. I fire two webs and slingshot kick myself through the eye of the Zero-pointer. I web to the top of the inside and slowly rappel down.
"Alright, now remember what Mei taught you," I think to myself. "The bigger the item, the more complicated the power source, which makes it easy to destroy. More than likely, that power source is somewhere in the middle."
I look down to see the glowing power source. It's huge and… surprisingly simple. I see two large motors charging the Zero-pointers movement and the motor powering the visual aspect of the eye I just smashed.
"Okay, Mei," I say, pulling out three items. "Time to see if these work. It's time to deliver the Coup-de-Grace!"
I activate the items and toss them at the motors. The items explode as webbing comes out, jamming up the motors and overheating the system. I quickly web myself to the eye and jump out of the Zero-pointer. The Zero-pointer explodes as I begin swinging to the exit. I land at the exit, watching the smoke rising from the smoldering and broken robot.
"TIME'S UP!"

"Well, if that wasn't a huge display of recklessness, I don't know what is." Aizawa stands and faces Nezu. "I don't approve."
"Of course you don't, Aizawa," The R-Rated Heroine, Midnight says. "You think everything is supposed to be quick, clean, and quiet."
"As opposed to some large spectacle that could result in injuries or casualties? He's not in my class."
"Aizawa, you're forgetting they are students," The Blood Hero, Vlad King spoke. "It's our job to cultivate them into productive Pro Heroes and Heroines."
"It's still reckless nonetheless. In the field, he would've hurt more people than he saved. Potential or not, that is not someone I can't have in my class."
"May I remind you, Shota, you don't have anyone in your class," Nezu said, calmly. "You're ready to dismiss yet another potential student over small mistakes, some that can easily be corrected with the right discipline. And may I also remind you, Shota, very few applicants take on the Zero-pointer, and most of them do it to showboat and fail. He is the second applicant to take down the Zero-pointer without casualty and the first to actively save lives while doing so. Whereas you refused to do as such, opting to take as many students as possible to the exits. And you were accepted just as he will be. Understood?"
Aizawa went to open his mouth, but closed it and nodded.
"Daaammnnn Shota," Present Mic quipped. "He told you!"
"Toshinori, you're surprisingly quiet. Are you alright?"
Toshinori Yagi, the number one Pro Hero known as All Might, sat watching the screen with Izuku on it.
"No, I'm fine," he replied in shock. "Just thinking about my past and how it may have impacted someone's future."
