New day, new debs All dressed up to enter high society. But one fashion faux pas, and the dressing down will last a lifetime.

Elizabeth walked into the kitchen with Ella on her hip. Nate and Chuck both sat at the table.

"Morning Handsome" she said kissing Chuck "What are we talking about?"

"Cooking the books" Chuck said "Morning Miss Ella"

Ella giggled.

"Where are you two off this morning?" he asked.

"Work." Elizabeth said "I have a few song written for the new album and I need Drew to read them to see if they are album worthy. We also have discuss events for the ice rink, and any potential artist. I love having a business partner that is serious about our businesses. Oh and that guy finally called and backed out of us buying that coffee shop"

"I'm sorry, I know how much you wanted it to expand your business"

"Well good luck" Nate said

"Thank you Nate" she replied and saw his suit "Debutante ball?"

"Sage yeah"

"Third times the charm?"

"Something like that" he laughed because Chuck had said the same thing.

"Ella say bye to Daddy and Uncle Nate?"

"Bye-bye" Ella said.

"I will walk you out" Chuck said and they got on the elevator as Serena walked out.

"Hi, bye" Serena said.

They got to the lobby and he kissed her goodbye.

They got to the coffee shop and she saw Carter sitting at their table.

"Hey stranger" she said hugging him.

"Hey" he replied "Hi Ella. You have gotten so big"

"She has. It's crazy to think she is more than half way to 2"

"They grow so fast"

"What are you doing here? I thought you wanted a clean break from me?"

"I was in town thought I would step in and see my favorite Entrepreneur and her little girl"

"I never thought I would be one but here I am and rocking it"

"That you are" he said "Speaking of Entrepreneur's um I saw your brother's post today. On Chuck"

"Yes I read it" she said.

"And your thoughts? Your brother wrote a whole thing on your husband"

"Two people who never got along to begin with, and it was wasn't as bad as some of the others.

"Are you nervous for yours" he asked.

"Yeah" she replied "I gotta get to work. Drew is downstairs."

"He told me about you giving him half"

"It seemed right"

"True" he replied "Well until we meet again Beautiful"

"See you"

She headed downstairs and saw Drew spinning in the chair.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm lost in thought" he said "I wrote this song but now I don't know"

"Let me listen" she said and he hit play. A song came out of him singing about this beautiful friendship. "Is this about me?"

"Yeah" he said "About our friendship."

"What if I sung it?" she said "I don't want to step on your toes but maybe you if you heard it in a different voice?"

"Good point." He said and she handed him her sheet music. "Go over please"

She set Ella in Drew's lap and stepped in the booth and started to sing his song.

They did a few takes but decided that it needed a rewrite. Her phone buzzed and she glanced at it.

Chuck: Cotillion?

"Could you watch Ella tonight?" she asked.

"Yeah" he replied. "Why?"

"Chuck wants to go to Cotillion"

"A social event with your husband? What?"

"Shut up" she replied.

Later after getting dressed she headed to Cotillion and ran into Chuck.

"Wow, you look stunning. Are you sure that you aren't being presented tonight?"

"Thank you" she replied and he kissed her cheek. "Why did you want to come to this?"

"I need to talk to Lily, and I am gonna need your support."

"Okay" she said.

"You guys are here" Blair replied.

"Blair you look stunning" Chuck said then turned to Dan "Humphrey. I see you immortalized me once again in print. Should I be concerned about your level of obsession?"

"Not at all. I find your battle with your father inspiring, especially since you are married to my sister and you share a daughter."

"Thank you Dan" Elizabeth replied "I am parched, shall we find something drinks"

Chuck nodded.

"It was good to see you both" Chuck responded and they turned.

"Why do I feel I feel like that was the most awkward thing ever"

"Because your brother is still in love with her and she's hung up on the idea of you and I ending and her swooping in"

"That's what I thought" she replied and she spotted Lily. "Here's your chance.

They walked over to her.

"Charles how could you" Lily said. "After everything I've done to try and make peace?"

"I don't want peace. I want you to help me make him pay for what he did."

"Put a silver spoon in your mouth? Or raise you as a single parent" Bart asked "Which one do you want to punish me for first, son?"

"Lily you have to trust me, you are aiding and abetting a criminal"

"Charles that's enough"

"Do you want to end up like Ruth Madoff? Losing your son and granddaughter to defend your husband?"

"I don't want to lose anyone Charles" Lily said "But you're leaving me no choice. I'm going to get my coat."

"What can I say? Marriage has its privileges" Bart said and walked away.

"You okay?" Elizabeth asked.

"I'll be fine."

"You wanna drink?" she asked. "I can't drink but you can"

"Where is Ella at?"

"Drew has her but I can text him and he can meet us there" she said texting Drew "Already done."

They arrived to see Drew coming out of the kitchen area holding a sleeping Ella. They grabbed her and Drew left. They put her in her bed and went back to the living room. She changed for bed then came out and poured a drink and handed it to him.

"Thank you" he replied. She poured herself some water and sat down "How are you and babies?"

"We are good" she replied "I might be able to tell people soon"

"Like I said I have your back, whatever you want to do"

They heard crying over the monitor.

"I got her" Chuck said "You stay, get comfortable"

He got up and brought her out with them. They sat on the couch like they did every time they did story time and Chuck read and Ella laughed.

She didn't remember falling asleep and looked over to see Chuck sound asleep with Ella on his chest. She smiled and took out her phone and took a picture. She smiled at it and closed her phone. She grabbed a blanket and went to cover him up when he woke up.

"Hey" she said "I was gonna just leave you two there. You looked peaceful"

"Yeah" he said gently picking up Ella. "I'm gonna go put her down again"

"Okay" she said. He left the room and then later came back. She walked over to him and grabbed his tie. "My favorite moments are these"

"Mine too" he replied as the elevator opened and Blair walked out.

"Blair" he said.

"I'm gonna go to bed" Elizabeth said getting up and walking away. She got inside and sat on the bed then laid down. After a little while later she heard the elevator ding and she heard footsteps. The bed shifted and she turned. "Everything okay?"

"I guess your brother slept with Serena last spring and made a sex tape"

"Brother and sex tape don't go in the same sentence" she replied.

"She was thanking me for never sleeping with Serena"

"I thank you for that too." She replied

He kissed her then laid down next to her and held her close.

Sometimes you have no choice but to go it alone. After all, you're the only one who can answer for your sins. Once you've answered for your sins, there's nothing in the way of starting a whole new partnership.
