Sara, unlike her father, never needed to be woken up. She would naturally wake up at 8 am, no matter where she was sleeping.
On one particular day, Sara awoke with a smile as she gazed at the accommodations her latest conquest had given her and her cousins. It wasn't as grand as Camelot, nor as magical as the Fairy Castle, but it was splendid all the same. As she got up and prepared for the day, her mind quickly went over strategy. A good leader needed to win over the hearts and minds of their people, no matter how they came to power.
After dressing in an elegant red and gold tunic, royal blue trousers, and some light armor, Sara made her way to the village's council chambers. There was work to be done: schools, hospitals, transportation, waste management, sanitation, equal rights, securing good leadership for when she was gone, etc.
"Sire," Sir Pellinore II said during a council meeting, "we have received reports that Arturra has become beloved by the people she has concurred."
"What?" the Lord Protector asked in disgust.
"Yes, she is making quality education and healthcare free for everyone."
"We have that here!" The Protector argued. During Guinevere's rein, she had set up several schools and hospitals that were free for the public.
"Well yes," Sir Pellinore answered, "however she is setting up more, and seems to be making a point to put them in places where the people have complained of being neglected."
"She's smart." Sir Gareth commented.
The Lord Protector glared at him. During his Council meetings, no one was allowed to speak without permission.
Sir Gareth meekly bowed his head in apology and shame.
"We need to counter her." the Protector demanded, "I want a survey of all territories! Find out which ones Arturra will go after next and build up defenses! She could very well have her sights set on this very castle!"
The knights nodded their heads in compliance.
