The Watcher looked as he saw the bystanders going about their daily lives. The city wasn't expecting anything to happen today. They weren't expecting anything except for a normal, casual day to take place. But then something unexpected occurred in front of their eyes.

Warships began to appear all around them. Gigantic ships appeared out of thin air, with armies of people swarming out of the portals opening up. People ran away screaming as these Inhumans were being controlled by Maximus Boltagon.

The moment that they came out of the portals, they immediately opened fire on the civilians as they ran away. One of them came forward and flung her arms, sending cars and civilians flying into the air.

As the people were about to be crushed by several cars, a forcefield shielded them as Susan came in and saved them from the incoming attack.

"Get inside!" Susan called out to the people before she was hit in the back by a fireball.

"We're getting outnumbered!" Peter shouted as he swung and kicked the one with fire hands. "We need to fall back!"

"What?" Johnny asked as he flew around, shooting firewalls to slow them down. "We ain't backing down now!"

Then Johnny was attacked by one of the Inhumans manipulating the earth to send several chunks of it to surround him. The mass was becoming too much, and the dust started to suffocate Johnny when Ben ran up to him.

"Hey!" Ben called out to the one using powers. "It's clobbering time!"

Ben then punched the Inhuman, sending him flying and slamming into several other Inhumans. Running up to the downed Human Torch, Ben grabbed him, and the whole heroes started to make their way back to Mercury Labs.

They needed a plan. They needed to do something.

Back with Reed, he was watching as his plan finally unfolded. He had the Inhuman council under his command. He was working alongside the King of Attilan to take command of the Earth.

"Sir." One of the Inhumans greeted him, revealing herself to be the Inhuman Star. "We have brought you them."

"Susan?" Reed wonders.

"We were unable to acquire her. She seemed to be out of the building." Star was sorry to admit it to him.

"Then she is something we will worry about later." Reed decided to worry about his wife later. "Where are my kids?"

Back in Central City, the entire team made their way back into Mercury Labs. Most of them were already exhausted or tired from the battle they were just a part of.

"What the hell is going on?" Cisco asked as he walked around the room. "It's like War of the Worlds out there."

"Reed," Susan explained. "He's starting his attack on the city."

"And he's brought an entire army of Inhumans with him," Peter stated in anger. "We've got to stop the attack on the people."

"Where is S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Caitlin wonders.

"They won't be much help." Peter sighed when he noticed something. "Wait, where are the kids?"

That's the question they were afraid of answering. Susan seemed to notice their scared faces and became worried.

"Where are my kids?!" Susan asked them.

"Reed attacked here first." Flash Thompson informs them, walking out of an area where they didn't notice.

"Flash?" Peter asked in shock.

"Yeah, your...friend over here freed me of Reed's mind control," Flash said as he gestured over to Caitlin. "Now I'm in control. And I'm willing to help you guys take Reed down."

Susan however was worried about her kids. She swore to keep them safe, and she had failed in her task as a mother. Dropping to her knees, Peter ran and kneeled beside her, trying to comfort her.

"Hey, hey, don't go down on me yet, Storm," Peter begged her.

"I...I failed, Peter. Reed has them." Susan started to tear up. "He took my kids."

"We'll get them back," Peter swore as he held her face, willing some of the tears away. "I swear to you, on my life, I will not rest until those kids are safe in your arms."

Susan looked at Peter and saw he was determined to fix this mistake. It wasn't his fault they were taken, but he was going to tear apart the planet to get them back.

"I know you will," Susan said as she pulled him in for a kiss, more for her benefit than his. He knew she needed the support and just kissed back.

"Then let's get to work," Peter said as he rises and helped Susan get back up. "How many Inhumans are there?"

"If he's mine controlled all of Attilan, then we're looking at an army's worth of different abilities, different capabilities, and no one way of stopping them." Medusa was sorry to inform the heroes.

"Well, there is the cure," Caitlin said as she held up a second vial of the one that she used on Thompson. "It was able to undo the effects of what Reed had him under."

"Which means it's possible to cure them all." Bette understood what she was saying.

"The only downside is that it's a small vial," Caitlin admitted as she was showing all she had. "I'm already making more, but then there's the second problem."

"Dispersing the one cure we have across the whole city." Cisco understood their problem.

Before anyone could think of any solution, their screens flickered and revealed Nick Fury. "Not just the city, heroes."

"Nick?" Peter asked in shock. "How long were you listening?"

"Long enough that I know you don't know how far of a grasp this situation has gotten to, Spider-Man," Nick said as he showed them a map of the eastern seaboard. "Richards isn't just attacking Central City. Tactical targets are being hit all along the eastern seaboard."

"Then why is he attacking Central City?" Harley asks them. "There's no tactical targets here."

"We're the tactical target." Karolina could easily tell. "It's easy to say he has a vendetta against us."

"There's more," Nick informed them as he showed them footage of Inhumans attacking everywhere. "It's happening all over the world. Reed isn't just invading the US. He's invading the entire globe."

"This has the stench of Maximus all over it." Crystal grew angry at her brother-in-law.

Lockjaw also growled in anger at the man.

"Agreed, sister, but we must be cautious. We're dealing with the smartest man alive now. Not our idiot family member". Medusa calms her sister down.

"We're gonna need some more help," Peter muttered in worry.

"Way ahead of you," Cisco promises him. "After Reed attacked us, I sent a distress call to the Guardians."

"And I got in touch with Janet and Jessica," Caitlin reported in.

"Okay, that'll help us cover some ground." Peter guessed and still saw they needed a plan. "If they follow either Reed or Maximus then we need to take them down."

"Cut off the head of the snake, and the rest of it dies." Bette saw that was a start. "But how do we find them?"

"If they're commanding this army, they have to be somewhere in the compatible range of the Earth." Crystal tells them. "Long-range communications work differently on Attilan than on earth. Even then, your advanced technology can't even reach your own moon."

"That means Reed is still on earth, and Maximus must still be on Attilan." Jennifer took a guess.

"So, who do we hit first?" Ben asks, ready to pummel Reed into the ground and end this war.

"We need to figure that part out," Peter said when they hear the cries of the people.

"We're taking heavy fire! Can anyone hear us?!"

"We need help down here!"

Peter liked and knew the people of the city must be scared. They were caught in the middle of a fight that they never knew was going on.

"Scratch that, we have three objectives," Peter said as he looked at the team. "Stop the Inhumans from hurting anyone else. Find out where the heads are hiding. And find a way to disperse Caitlin's cure."

"Okay, who goes where?" Johnny wonders.

"Me and Susan will be on standby, protecting the people," Peter tells them about their part in the plan. "When Cisco finds where Reed is, we'll find him and the kids."

"And the rest of us?" Katherine asks him.

"The Inhumans will go to Attilan," Peter said as he looked at Medusa and Crystal. "With most of his defenses down here, Maximus is most likely vulnerable to attack."

"It shall be done," Medusa promises.

"Cisco, you get to work on finding Reed," Peter tells cisco.

"On it," Cisco said as he raced off to find a way of tracking him.

"The rest of us...go kick some Inhuman ass," Peter tells the rest of them the plan.

Meanwhile, in Attilan, Maximus was sitting on the throne of Attilan and watched as the invasion had begun. After all of these years of being sidelined, he was the one who was winning this war.

"What is left of my family is on the run," Maximus reported to Reed over the screens. "Soon, the Earth shall be ours."

"Don't get too cocky, Maximus," Reed warned him as that was always his problem. "That's what started all of this. If you had killed those sisters when you had a chance, none of this would be happening."

"My people needed someone to blame." Maximus defended why he chose to let them live. "As far as they know, their king was killed by the woman he loved and always let his guard down to."

"Is the contingency plan in place?" Reed asks him.

"Yes," Maximus assured him that was already done. "If they were to try and take back their throne...Earth will be the risk."

Peter was in his part of the labs gearing up, preparing for a war for the Earth. That was something that he never thought that he would need to say. When that particle accelerator went off and granted his friends powers, he never considered it would grow and become a war for the planet.

Medusa walked up to his labs and saw as Peter stared at the mask. "Not what you signed up for, isn't it?"

"What?" Peter asks, not surprised by her sudden appearance.

"You didn't sign up to become part of some bigger war. You just wanted to help the city." Medusa has seen this conflict in her husband a dozen times before. "You just wanted to help us. Now all of you are at risk and your world is in the middle of a war because of a decision you made."

"Seems to be my theme," Peter whispered as he looked at the mask. "I left to save Johnny, leaving Ronnie to die in that accelerator. I chose not to give Susan and the kids up, and now the world is at war."

"And you think those were bad decisions?" Medusa was curious to see what he had to say about it.

"If I had made other decisions..." Peter thought of what could have been. "Ronnie-"

"From what your friends have said, he died a hero. What would have become of this team you built if you died in his place?" Medusa asked, gesturing towards Ben and Johnny who were messing before heading out. "You saved many people and grew this team to save many more. I've seen the best warriors in Attilan, the best strategist, and I know what they would say to our predicament."

"What's that?" Peter wonders.

"All hope is lost," Medusa answered honestly. "Reed and Maximus hold the entire stack of cards. The only card we have left is from Susan. That's something we are not going to risk handing over. Not just because it wouldn't end this, but because you love her."

"What's your point?" Peter wanted her to skip to that part.

"You've started as a team, but now you've got an army," Medusa explains to him. "This is something that you need to understand. We are here standing by." But then her speech got interrupted when Goose suddenly made an appearance since Flash tore up the place. "What the hell is that thing doing here?!"

"The cat?" Peter asked, gesturing to the cat on the table. "You allergic or something?"

"That's not a cat!" Medusa said in terror. "That's a Flerken."

"A...Flerken?" Peter repeated and petted the cat's back. "Right."

"You think I'm afraid?" Medusa wonders.

"Not the time to comment on that," Peter stated as he knew a few others needed them. "Listen, we have a few people out there that need us. My aunt. Caitlin's boyfriend. Ben's lady friend. Reed is gonna target them."

"You want me to get them here?" Medusa asks, getting her eyes off the cat. "I'm on it."

Johnny flew across the bridge and sent a blast at one of the cars to cause an explosion. This sent several Inhumans flying and rendered unconscious.

Ben was also there, punching everyone that wasn't human. "Everyone get off the bridge."

Another one of them came up and stood there. Ben recognized who he was and realized it was Multiplex. Danton Black. The Metahuman with the capability of duplicating himself.

"Oh, really? This guy?" Johnny asked as he flew to land next to Ben. "Didn't we deal with him months ago?"

"Seems he's back for round two," Ben commented.

That's when another familiar figure came in. This one was revealed to be Kyle Nimbus. Mist.

"This guy, too?" Johnny complained.

Back in the suburbs, May was barricading off her home to keep others from entering. But that didn't stop some teleporting Mutant who goes by Peek-A-Boo from appearing.

She was sent by Reed to secure the people that Peter Parker loves the most. Getting ready to take her away, she was stopped by Lockjaw when he came inside with Crystal.

As soon as she entered and noticed the Metahuman, Crystal sent an electrical blast to take her down immediately. But Peek-A-Boo immediately teleported and dodged the blast. Coming in behind Crystal, she kicked her in the back and sent her toppling.

When she teleported away again, Peek-A-Boo appeared in front and kneed her in the face. Getting frustrated by this girl, she quickly swirled up a storm and blinded the girl with fog. She couldn't teleport, which gave Crystal the power to punch and knock her out.

"I hate teleporters." Crystal snarled at the unconscious girl. Then she straightened herself out before turning to face May. "Ms. Parker. I'm here to take you to safety. Your nephew sent me."

"I figured," May assured her, gesturing to her getup. "The suit."

Reed walked through the halls as he came across Star, holding his daughter and keeping his son from running away. He smiled as he removed his helmet, revealing his damaged face underneath it to his kids.

"Look at this," Reed said as he kneeled to fade his scared son. "Now why are you so scared, Buddy? Aren't you happy to see your father?"

"No," Franklin said in fear as he whimpered and tried to stay away from him.

"Well, you should," Reed said as he caressed his hair. "Because soon...it's just going to be the three of us."

Reed then started to walk away when Franklin tried to show he wasn't afraid of him. "Peter will come for us! He said he wouldn't let anything bad happen to us!"

Reed stopped in his tracks at the mention of the man who offered refuge to his wife. "Peter? You think..." He then started to laugh as Star was dragging the kids along to follow. "You think I went through all of this trouble and didn't have a plan for Parker?"

When they reached the labs, they noticed that there was a canister holding a fraction of the Symbiote inside it. It was a small fraction of it that he kept from getting to Thompson.

"I have a plan. I have planned for him to come. I want Parker to come." Reed said as he punched the canister, allowing the Symbiote to start consuming his entire body. "I want Peter Parker!"
