Chapter 14: Zombies In Suhn

Date: October 9th, 2022

It hasn't been long since the Dragonkin Emperor Diga was defeated after he absorbed all 1000 Tai Chi characters and became the Tai Chi King, transforming into a huge dragon in the process. Many gave or risked their lives to stop him, both Dragonkin and Tigerkin. For the first time in a long time, the 2 species of human-like peoples were united in peace since Diga took over and began enslaving the Tigerkins. Long before that, the 1000 Tai Chi characters were divided in half, with 500 each entrusted to the Tigerkins and Dragonkins. The last time they were all together, corruption spread throughout their entire universe. Suhn is a parallel world to Earth and it's where both live. The boy who stopped this division was Rai Gherba, born part Tigerkin and Dragonkin to Lord Kirva Gherba and Dragonkin Empress Aura with his friends in the Tai Chi Chasers. In short, Rai lived with his parents on Earth because they were exiled for desiring to marry each other and then, Kirva left them to return to Suhn. He was imprisoned and then used by Diga. Several years later, Rai went out to meet with his friends and get his mom a birthday present. When he returned home, he was attacked by a Dragonkin warrior named Luka who sensed his mother. She arrived to help him and made Rai leave the house which was destroyed in an explosion of Aura's Tai Chi power. Due to this, Rai ended up joining the Tai Chi Chasers, a group of preteens and teens with a Tigerkin elder and tiger spirit accompanying them more often than not bent on retrieving the remaining scattered Tigerkin Tai Chi characters on Earth.

This led to all sorts of adventures like defeating multiple Dragonkin opponents again and again. Rai made many friends and managed to be partly responsible for the unification of Dragonkin and Tigerkin, even making peace with Luka along the way. Now, Suhn was finally at peace but a new problem was brewing. One that was not the fault of any Tigerkin or Dragonkin. Instead, it can be traced back to the very day the Dark Lord Melvin attacked Greenhorne Village in Miitopia because due to a long sequence of events that spawned from that, some number cards entered Suhn and zombified 2 dead Dragonkins. It all began the day Rai met back up with his friends. He and the others were told to evacuate to a cave deep underground with many others as something sour befell the Dragonkins. Diga was thought to be completely destroyed but that just wasn't true. His remains fell to an unknown location and just after his death, 3 number cards appeared out of a vortex unseen by any mortal and entered his body. Then, he rose out of the ground in true zombie fashion. Diga sought out Dragonkins to recruit in his new quest of revenge. Without warning, he infected others and soon amassed a small army of zombies from the bodies of those who died stopping him.

For me, it was 3 days after I had to kill Gofast. My mental health was stable but we received a strong signal on the barely used undead radar in our base. Just after I had breakfast and was about to begin some training, Willy filled me in on what we knew at the time. "Zombies connected to the energies of number cards? That's a new one. I have a bad feeling that this is far worse than any of us could imagine. Alright, has the adventure party been formed yet?" "Yep! I'll tell you who's coming with you as we head to the meeting room!" "Great!" "You're going to get to go on this mission with Spectre, Pixal, Applejack, Present Mic, Madeline, and Amy!" "An unusual line up but I know it's going to be good! Present Mic's quirk Voice lets him amplify his voice to intense volume. Amy is in love with Sonic, carries a hammer, and has a pretty intense temper. Madeline is our resident cleric here, she can heal and use moves like Righteous Anger. Pixal is an advanced nindroid built by Cyrus Borg and is in love with Zane the Nindroid. She can fight, build, and analyze. Not to mention her identity as Samurai X, a mantle passed from Nya to her. Applejack is connected to Equestia's Elements of Harmony, is famous for her honesty, and has many practical skills like lassoing things and tending to a large farm called Sweet Apple Acres. Finally, there's Spectre. He's a member of the Knights Of Hanoi and irritated the Light Ignis Lightning during their duel. His deck focuses on benefitting from battle damage and reversing it, Link summoning over and over, and the forest. Spectre was also one of the 6 children kidnapped during the Lost Incident and was forced to keep dueling in order to be used in order to create one of the Ignis, Earth. He was a lonely orphan so he had a blast there."

"I'm so excited to hear about how this goes!" "That's good to hear! I'm glad I was going to bring my stuff to the training room anyway. Or should I say the first one because we had to build 2 more recently haha.'' 30 minutes later, I'm with the adventure party for this mission, we have gone over the mission details and objectives, and are now on our way to seek an audience with the Tigerkins and Dragonkins in charge as the problem hasn't consumed all of Suhn just yet. On the way, we took down some of the zombies. Or rather, Spectre did with the help of his San Vine and San Avalon monsters with a wicked grin on his face. If we made contact just right by hacking into the communications of the Tigerkins and Dragonkins with Spectre's skills, we should see a Tigerkin or Dragonkin airship heading towards us soon enough. Applejack is an Earth pony with 3 apples as her cutie mark, a brown hat, marigold mane and tail, orange fur, and green eyes. Spectre has light blue eyes, grey hair with a bang going over one of his eyes, pale skin, and a white suit. Amy's a pink and tan hedgehog with green eyes, a red, white, and yellow hammer, a red and white dress, yellow armbands, and big red and white shoes. Madeline is a tan Miitopian with long blonde hair going down to her lower back, green eyes, and a long flowing dress style robe of yellow, white, and green. Present Mic's long spiky blonde hair is just one facet of his appearance. He has tan skin, a small brown mustache, orange sunglasses, and an outfit consisting of a black jacket with a tall collar, black pants, and other details.

Then there's Pixal. Her green eyes give off a friendly vibe and her face is white with purple much like her outfit. Her hair is silver. After some more walking, I spot the airship flown by the Tai Chi Chasers: "Oh good! We don't have to rescue them from certain death in order to meet them! I'm surprised our contacting them worked out so well even though Madeline and Applejack did all of the talking." Pixal confirms what I see: "I am indeed picking up the presence of an aircraft that is not in my database." We stop walking and wait for the airship to land. Once it does, Rai and Sena step off the ship to greet us, they are co-captains of the ship. Rai has pretty long and pointy red hair, red eyes, sand colored ish skin, and a red, white, and orange outfit including long pants. Sena has long dirty blonde hair with brown eyes, pale skin, lilac and red purple dress/shirt combo, and long blue leggings: "Hello there. We were asked to come out of hiding to escort you all to the Dragonkin and Tigerkin leaders. You've proven yourselves to be trustworthy to us because one of you defeated all the zombies within a significant area not that long ago. I'm Sena and this is Rai, we are co-captains of this Tigerkin airship and are members of the Tai Chi Chasers." Spectre replies: "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm very much looking forward to a beautiful friendship with all of you." "I hope you mean that sincerely, Spectre." "Don't worry, Swiftdrawer. After fighting alongside Playmaker and his friends plus going on missions, I suppose I have learned a thing or two about focusing on others rather than myself or Master Ryoken." Rai butts in: "Hey! Aren't you going to acknowledge me?!" "And now I say don't worry. No need to be so rash. We need to get out of here, I'm sure the zombies would love to destroy us all. We can talk on the airship."

Applejack adds: "Can't we just teleport to where we need to go?" "That would be logical except we're trying to forge an alliance so we don't have to after the situation is resolved. You know better than most that's the best choice." We all get on the ship and take turns introducing ourselves. Also on the ship were Hak, a white tiger spirit, Finn, Donha, and Tori. Finn, the serious one, has dark blue eyes, long black hair, pale skin, light blue shirt, and dark pants. Tori, the funny one, has short blonde hair styled up a bit, big glasses, light skin, mint green pants, and a light blue vested shirt with yellow outlines. Donha is the roundest of them all and loves food which matches his big heart and care for others. He has short and spiky blue-green hair, black eyes, bushy brows, tan skin, and a white, blue, and light blue combined shirt and pants with a collar and backpack to boot. After that is done, it takes an hour or so to reach our destination. Tori is disappointed that we can't go any faster: "I miss being able to speed our ship up. But now that all the Tai Chi cards are gone, that's not possible anymore. It makes me sad!" That reminds me of something important: "Oh yeah, that's right. Without Tai Chi cards, your strength even though Tigerkins and Dragonkins are at peace now is not as much as it used to be. Without those Tai Chi cards, it's much harder for y'all to defend yourselves. You relied on them for so long that many comrades of yours don't have any actual physical weapons. That must be why they have decided to hear us out. *pulls out sword* I am an experienced fighter by way of the sword. I will do what I can to protect this world of yours from the zombies."

Sena replies: "The elders are definitely going to like you." "I would hope so. Btw, we have a few things to explain to all of you. For example, do you know why there are zombies and peace hasn't been truly achieved for your world yet?" "We haven't found out anything to pinpoint the cause even as the best warriors have fought and checked things out. So what is it?" "A really long story, if in full detail. The gist is that there are these special cards with great power inside that have nothing to do with Tai Chi characters. They are called number cards and hundreds have scattered throughout existence. A few have come into this universe and their power has revived some dead people as zombies. They can even possess the average person. When there is time, I will explain more unless you want the written book version." Other things are explained in time for us to land at the location of a building I have never seen before, even in the show that depicts this universe. The entrance is wide and tall with columns and pillars making up much of the design. Every square inch is covered in symbols and in the middle is the Yin and Yang Tai Chi symbol with a background of red and blue that feature the black silhouettes of a dragon and a tiger. Excellent design work. Inside is a large room with the layout of a council room. It features marble, concrete, and more in the materials.

Waiting for us are some of the leadership of Tigerkins and Dragonkins: Tigerkin Emperor Kirva (newly instated), Dragonkin Empress Aura (newly reinstated), Elder Pyron, Elder Komorka, and General Aidan. Komorka says: "We've been expecting you." She has kinda long grey hair braided at both ends, wears a brown cloak, and has her eyes closed at the moment. Applejack replies: "It's a real pleasure to be here, you could use all the help y'all can get. We didn't have time to introduce ourselves before. I'm Applejack *gestures to us one by one* and this is Spectre, Swiftdrawer, Pixal, Madeline, Present Mic, and Amy." I take my mask off and put the hood of my cloak down before promptly putting both away: "I should have done this a second ago. I already filled them all in as to who you all are to hurry this along. Though none of you are the kind to trust outsiders so easily. Your forces must be being strained to the break if what I'm guessing is true. Don't pay us and frankly, you don't need to put a spotlight on any of us. Though Amy might be angry about that. Amy, settle down, I see you're about to get angry. Please save it for the zombies." Kirva laughs: "It sounds like you all get along really well." He has red hair and eyes, light tan skin, and a fancy outfit I barely paid attention to. "Not exactly. Spectre is kind of a loner, Present Mic can annoy his best friend Eraser Head easily, and Amy can be easily persuaded to swing that hammer at anyone, let's just say that. But enough of the fun, tell us what you know and we'll tell you what we know." In short, the info exchanged during the meeting is what I knew but we learned several new things. It isn't just Diga who's back and is an original zombie. Mishka is back too.

Then there's the fact that the combined Dragonkin and Tigerkin forces aren't doing that great against the zombies and more are being turned by the minute. At this point, the zombies are all over Suhn, increasing in number rapidly. Spectre states: "How interesting, it'll be fascinating to see one of those zombies for myself. I will have so much fun battling the organism with the help of the likes of San Vine Thrasher and San Avalon Dryatrentiav! I'll manifest my circuit as many times as needed. Oh right, you haven't been informed of Duel Monsters yet. But we don't have time for that. I sent a San Avalon Daphne to be on the lookout for zombies but I guess she wasn't able to handle it on her own. They sent her to the graveyard." Pixal confirms what he said: "I am detecting the presence of a swarm of hostile life forms headed right for this location." Aura, the empress with medium length light brown hair and brown eyes plus an outfit I didn't pay much attention to even though it was beautiful and tan skin replies: "We need to get out of here right now! If they take us, this will end in their victory!" Aidan speaks up, he has short light brown hair, brown eyes, pale skin, a short black mustache, and a red and gold suit of armor: "We need to get you, the elders, and Kirva somewhere they can't find you."

I reply: "That would be ideal but it's not the smartest move because your forces are not doing very well and besides, why hide your leaders when they can fight head on themselves. It would be only a matter of time until they got to them anyway. Maybe I'm biased because I believe in a kind of society with no leaders or social hierarchy. They're perfectly capable of handling themselves. Besides, we could just all fight together and we outsiders can show you what we're made of. Miitopia's Great Sage Bray doesn't hide even though she could easily become the de facto leader of all of Miitopia. She fights and is my friend. You're still rebuilding, this zombie invasion couldn't have come at a worse time for you." Pyron is shocked at what I said. He has a long grey beard, black eyes, grey eyebrows, and a red, yellow, and brown cloak: "Someone as young as you shouldn't speak like that! We don't even know if we can completely trust you! You sound like you're just trying to let Diga have them for himself more easily!" Pixal defends me: "I can assure you, Mr. Pyron that that is not what they're trying to do. In my experience, the best leaders don't cower, they fight for what they believe in." Pyron reluctantly accepts the offer of sticking together so we all end up on the airship and soon land to confront the zombies. But there is someone mysterious in front of them. Something about them is familiar. That's when they start cackling. I spell it out for everyone: "He's back. Yappa Yappa is back. Revenge is his goal, I can tell." Sena asks: "Who's Yappa Yappa?" "He is and was one of my biggest adversaries. Yappa Yappa is a menace with a cruelty that makes the skin of just about anyone crawl of their blood doesn't boil. I killed him but now, he's been restored to life. Stay back everyone. If anyone should fight him, it's me."

Yappa Yappa reveals himself in full, his appearance hasn't changed that much but his left eye was replaced by a red robotic eye and where his heart should be is a metal structure with symbols on it. Could it contain a pacemaker, aka an artificial heart? "I should have known you would recognize me! It's so good to see you so I can finally kill you and get revenge on you for stabbing me right through the heart! I'm going to enjoy playing with you before I cut your throat and leave you mangled up in a heap of garbage! These repulsive zombies are horrible but I made a deal with them! Or rather, a deal on behalf of the United Mining Company! We provide them support and they give us some of the land in Suhn! Together, we'll slaughter you all! Ready to die, Adam?!" Tori gasps: "He's your nemesis? Aaaa! He's terrifying!" "Like I said, stand back. Madeline, I need your help with dealing with him. As we've observed time and time again, a healer pairs perfectly with someone like me. This fight is going to test us. Everyone else, you must fight the zombies without Tai Chi." Spectre replies: "With pleasure! I manifest my circuit!" Applejack begins attacking zombies as if she were bucking apples. Amy gets mad at the zombies: "How dare you look so ugly around me! TAKE THIS!" before hammering at as many of them as possible. Present Mic moves away from us and starts yelling at lots of the zombies to send them flying. Pixal gets into her Samurai X suit and takes on a big chunk of them. Madeline and I lead Yappa Yappa away from the action. Once we stop to get ready to fight, Yappa Yappa unexpectedly charges towards Madeline and attempts to stab her: "You won't be surviving this time without anyone to save your hide from imminent death! I'm so disgusted by this cleric, she is a big part of the reason why the UMC has failed! Just like you!"

"You keep your crap away from my friend! She is a healer and far range fighter for the most part but can attack from close range decently. But still, your fight is with me, not her! That is unless you want to see what else she can do! After all, there's a little incident that happened a few months ago. On a rescue mission that the survival of an entire universe depended on succeeding, something happened. That day, we nearly lost her. She was close to death and no one could heal her, not even herself. That's when our friend Dominic did something similar to what Pmurt Nedib has done to you after I killed you." "And what is that supposed to mean, you freak?!" "The damage to her was horrifying, her cells were undergoing necrosis one by one after being trapped underneath freezing ice for hours. There was only one thing that could save her. Dominic burst out of his laid back mindset and used whatever metal he could find to turn her into a biomechanical android. That means, you cannot hope to kill her very easily and her energy is much higher than it used to be. Madeline is still a mii but now, she is well on her way to reaching beyond the last limitation placed on all of us in terms of power level. My friend here isn't some damsel in distress, you're the one who's in trouble! And it's not just her you have to worry about. You also have to worry about the fact I've gotten stronger since we last met." "Gah! You make me so jealous, it's disgusting! After I was brought back to life, I found out that I lost all of the power I stole! That's why one of my eyes was replaced! I'm not much stronger than I was when we attacked UA but, I have learned a few new tricks to use against you! Solar Flare!" He concentrates his energy and unleashes it in a blinding burst of light.

However, Madeline uses her outfit to cover both of our sets of eyes. Once it ends, we stand together ready to take on our foe: "Adam! Let's show him what we have! There will be no mercy for him! I don't like hurting anyone but he's an exception! Righteous Anger!" "Don't forget, Yappa Yappa! You made yourself outnumbered! It's going to be so annoying for you when you realize just how many so-called freaks we know! For instance, Austin has become part dragon due to an accident with dragon blood in a realm inhabited by magical dragons that was being attacked by a time traveler. Now then, Drawing Destruction!" Our attacks combine: "Haha! Weak! My old attacks are pathetic in comparison to what I can do now! Pitchfork Pummeling! I will pummel all of you! Starting with the two of you! Die!" He moves around very quickly and hits us repeatedly with his pitchfork sword weapon after tanking our attacks like they were nothing. However, Madeline is unharmed while I take just a little bit of damage: "Yappa Yappa, let me show you how I've improved! Why fight you while moving around you when I can just stay in one place and let you come to me?" I take on a stance that involves moving my left foot forward, turning my right foot 45 degrees, and gripping onto my sword with both of my hands, my left hand holding it below where my right hand is holding it. Madeline stands her ground too, right next to me: "We won't let you hurt anyone but us! It makes me so sad that you have to be so cruel! Righteous Anger!"

I released a triple Extremely Risky Spin Slash aimed at Yappa Yappa. He avoids it but falls for my trap as a result. Quite literally too as I activate a trap card having secretly set one through my duel disk: "I activate the trap Skull Dice! I gotta thank Jounochi for loaning me this for a week or so after those bird dog parasites were stopped. Its effect now activates. I roll a die and your attack points or in this case, power level is divided by the number I roll! And you can't stop it! Do your thing, Madeline!" "Freezing Frost!" Yappa Yappa widens his eyes as he can no longer move: "Since when could a cleric do something like this?" "Bray was kind enough to teach me a few offensive spells! I just had to get her a gift in return! She wasn't impressed by what I got because HP bananas and MP candies distracted me and I ended up buying a bunch for her by accident instead. But we thought thought it was funny so we made up easily!" I go on with the rolling and manage to roll a 4: "Oh Yappa Yappa! Your power level has temporarily been divided by 4! It won't last long much like that freezing spell but, this is what we need to give you a can of whoop ass as a friend of mine from my world has said in the past I think! It's the perfect time to bring in some reinforcements to help out our allies and friends. Madeline, bombard him while I summon some comrades who have been on standby when it comes to missions!" "Okay!" "Emerge from another dimension, some of the cornerstones of my deck! Regnes! Jammer! Terror Fairy! Iceles!" The 4 show up and help turn the tables on all of those zombies. Now that that's done, I punch Yappa Yappa in the face before stopping a sneak attack from him with ease: "Nice try Yappa Yappa but that just doesn't work anymore." "I don't care! After all, you haven't managed to damage me in the slightest yet! You are so dead and I will find a way to kill Madeline too!"

*whack* *slash* *stab* *punch* *push* *kick* *headbutt* *punch* *punch* "We'll see about that, we really will." "Your neutral response makes me so irritated! I hate when you do that, it's repulsive! I don't have time to fight both of you all day, I'm just going to end this right now so I can relish in your corpses right away! Master wants me to be done with you soon after all! Deep Torture!" He uses his hands to get us by turning them into acid and putting his weapon inside his right arm before putting in a lot of energy. We do our best to dodge this but that doesn't work forever. The attack gets us and does a lot of damage to our skin. He even cuts into our flesh, allowing the acid to spread. I grit my teeth: "Damn it! Extremely Risky Spin Slash: 3 times force! Instead of releasing this, I will let it surround us, keeping you away from us! Agh! It burns! It's circulating through my veins! Madeline! Do something! I won't last much longer at this rate!" "Don't worry, I will do my best! GIGA CURE!" Instantly, we are both healed to the point the acid is gone as if it was never there to begin with. Yappa Yappa manages to break through my counter in time to see us healed: "Nooo! Even now that I use my power more effectively, that wasn't enough?! Unbelievable! I will win, pummel, and slaughter you, all of you! Just you wait! Supremacy will be mine, MINE! I hate both of you so much!" "In that case, I'm going to make you hate us even more! One, Madeline is pansexual and polyamorus. Two, we're going to be meeting a lot more comrades who don't have similar skin tones to us in the future, I just know it! Three, I defeated and killed my Nazi counterpart Gofast!" "WHAT?! You are so disgusting that I almost don't want to fight or kill you anymore! I don't want your, whatever you have! You must be mentally ill, that's the only reason you'd ever say or do any of that, it just has to be!"

"Mentally ill, huh? You're borrowing from the alt right playbook so hard that it's kind of ridiculous. This is all ridiculous in the end. A seeking of power and control will only lead to doom. You don't understand much about the topic of mental health so stop policing whether someone is mentally ill or not!" "You're the wrong who is wrong, you do ********* after all!" "Drawing Destruction! Where in the world did you come up with false crap like that? I'm a furry, that is true but I don't do shit like that! If I did, I'd be socially exiled! Since when did you throw on accusations like it was no big deal, just a couple annoying 'woke' issues!" "I'm going to enjoy killing you for freedom! Overcharged Cruel Obligatory Obedience!" "Where is the freedom in killing someone you don't like because they are different? As a wise duelist, hacker, and Lost Incident survivor once said 'You cannot create a utopia by destroying the lives of those around you'. Haaaaaaaaaaaa! Continuous Extremely Risky Spin Slash: 7!" I'm significantly drained by this but Madeline has my back: "Cure! And Aura!"

This combo of moves heals me and sends Yappa Yappa flying but he gets back up, unhurt. Aura sent out light to hit Yappa Yappa. But since he isn't some sort of demon, it doesn't do much damage to him. If it did, that would have been kind of cliche to be honest. Anyway, we prepare for him to charge right back at us but instead, he charges up an attack really quickly: "Domination!" The air and sky around us is consumed in Yappa Yappa's cold hearted aura. He gains control of them and the ground below our feet. Putting it all together, he makes gestures to get all of it to crush us but I won't let it do as much damage as it would. I change the way I hold my sword to a blocking position and run to get myself in front of Madeline: "I won't let this crush us! I'm going to take another page from the Miitopian warrior class! Proud Protector! I will not allow you to succeed at crushing us. Just watch!" As all of that condenses down on us, I hold onto my sword much harder and start pushing back with it and my actual body and armor. My muscles are tightening to do this but it's worth it. Gotta keep pushing. Must keep at it. Yappa Yappa doesn't even bother to make it worse by attacking us, he's very confident. That's obvious. Now if only we could get him to buzz off out of this world already. Sounds like a pipe dream but it's still very much possible. Come on. The strain on my body is immense as it is on my sword and armor which are holding up quite well. And then, after it has loosened up enough, I plant my sword hard onto the ground and pull out my guitar. I proceed to strum and scream, the soundwaves counter the pressure of Yappa Yappa's Domination.

Additionally, the dent made in the ground with my sword expands due to it. I quickly retrieve my sword, put away my guitar, and stop screaming as the effects end Yappa Yappa's crushing move. Beads of sweat are visible on my forehead as lots of ground breaks: "You are far stronger than I am, Yappa Yappa. That is still true but physical strength isn't everything. You can be as powerful as you want but without help or a clear conscience, you're done for much faster than otherwise! What good would a massive amount of strength be if you gave up easily? What good would immense speed be if you didn't know how to control it or have enough courage and brain power to use it effectively when someone is about to die? My point, I'm telling you how I was able to beat your new attack by myself with my sword and armor. Why do I wield this sword? To protect myself and others, to become stronger, to fight for a better future, to impart information onto others, and to follow the path of a sword master." "Stop acting so wise! You are not wise, you're a annoying human de********!" Madeline cuts in and before I say how, I must state that Righteous Anger has ended up having 2 effects, one doing damage, the other causing a party member to be furious in an instant. The 2nd effect used to be the only one but Madeline has advanced far beyond most Miitopian clerics: "It's not nice to forget about me! I just want peace and everyone to be happy! But you're in the way of that! Aura!" Yappa Yappa is taken aback by the sudden attack: "This is why I hate both of you! Your unwillingness to give up makes me gag! And your skills would make me cackle if it weren't for the fact you are the ones who use them! I want skills like yours! No fair! But, I have been just playing with you this entire time! I'm going to be much more invested in killing you now! You have destroyed my patience, I can't toy with you anymore! If I don't, the army of zombies those allies of yours are fighting will lose! They steamrolled through much of the unified army of Tigerkin and Dragonkin easily before coming here! And that was before we sent some of our own troops to join them! He combines all 3 of his earlier attacks into one and then doubles their power. Oh shit. This is going to hurt. A lot. I quickly get some Miitopian shield sprinkles to reduce the damage we take slightly. It barely helps but it is something so we have little choice but to take it since we have the opportunity to do so. In the split time we are protected by the sprinkles, I perform an Extremely Risky Spin Slash to reduce the damage inflicted to us. I should have trained to make that attack be a stationary defense as well as a moving attack months ago! Glad I did after dealing with Evil Goat and those parasites 2 days ago. Yappa Yappa's fusion attack still ends up hurting like hell but at least we are able to move enough to try to resist it together. We're barely able to make it finally stop after minutes of pain: "Yappa Yappa, you know that you'll have to be much more direct than that to kill us, right?" Wordlessly, he sneaks behind me and manages to fake stab my neck: "I don't have to constantly fight you to kill you! You taught me that as I fought you in the fights we've had! In fact, feel this." Pain surges throughout my body as he actually stabs my neck, stuns me, and picks me up by my throat: "You have been my enemy for so long and have managed to beat me over and over with a lot of help. You killed me and I am disgusted beyond belief that it was you who did me in! I'm so jealous of my master! He gets to hide and pull all of the strings without engaging in combat! Now you can't fight back! And it only gets worse for you! After all, our alliance with these zombies is also a distraction! I knew you'd come here! And I also know that most of Miitopia's protectors have left it behind!" "Are you saying that an invasion of Miitopia is being launched?! Damn it!"

"Yay, you figured it out! We're going to take over all of Miitopia and the Tomodachi Islands beyond it! While we're there, we're going to restore the Dark Lord Melvin by force! Melvin and Nathan will be easy to find and capture!" Madeline gets pretty angry: "Stop stalling and let my friend go! Righteous Anger!" She uses the other effect of Righteous Anger, riling me up too. I'm still unable to move but Yappa Yappa looks like he's about to vomit from seeing both of us get extremely pissed off looks on our faces: "Your anger is so gross! The way your faces are contorted is unbearable to look at! DIE! Oh btw, I poisoned you, Adam! I don't need to hold you myself anymore, the poison is going to kill you now that it has stopped you from moving around! And while you lay there dying, I will kill Madeline and then deal the final blow to you, watching as your guts splatter all over the ground! This is going to be a fun time of playing! Just you wait!" Madeline now gets serious, her anger reflects it. She is going to go all in now. In a second, a strong blast of light energy is released from her hands instead of her staff and it knocks Yappa Yappa back because he wasn't expecting it: "You can use energy without your staff? I'm so jealous! I'm going to love killing you right in front of my nemesis!"

*Meanwhile in Miitopia* The Fab Fairies observe the invasion's beginning. Grace says: "Alright sisters, most of Miitopia's heroes have left for missions. Let's show them what we got!" They prepare for battle using their infamous Fab Fairy Dance and gather the residents of the Elven Village to come help out. All other capable fighters in Miitopia, even the weakest ones stand their ground and prepare too. Greenhorne's King Luis even releases some leftist political prisoners to help in the fight in exchange for their freedom for now. This would be the last time that these kinds of groups would come together to fight in Miitopia. The invasion kicks off as Tomapieian warriors come by way of their hot pocket spaceships to help the Miitopians fight against the invasion. Also joining them was Dr. Bonesbane who decided to pause his inventing to come over and help. The invasion forces were now quickly losing on all fronts.

*Back to Swiftdrawer* For 30 minutes, Madeline easily constantly took damage and healed at the same time while not fighting to irritate Yappa Yappa and exhaust him a little. She was still angry but now, she fights hard as I lay on the ground, slowly and painfully dying. I keep my attention on the fight in front of me to ignore some of the agonizing pain. "You won't get away with what you've done that easily! Leave my friend alone! Stop mocking them! The only reason they killed you was to stop you from making countless life forms suffer in seconds! Aura!" She puts away her staff and uses magic with her very hands instead. "Overcharged Cruel Obligatory Obedience!" Her attack is overpowered but Madeline doesn't let herself get hurt that easily. Now they're punching each other with equal strength. Now Yappa Yappa isn't holding back again. And just when he's about to deal serious damage, his robot eye glows and he stops: "Lucky you, I have to leave! They need my help in Miitopia to win! Those Tomapieians are going to pay for interfering! As will those annoying fairies!" "I'm sorry but you won't be going anywhere! I hate to do this but we have a score to settle! Arena!" An bunch of light energy solidifies into an energy arena that comes with sparkling electricity. Yappa Yappa is not happy: "You won't contain me with something this weak! I will destroy it and upon its destruction, both of you will die with it! I will make sure of that because you won't let me leave!" He tries to stab the energy arena with his pitchfork sword thing but it doesn't work: "Fine! Cubed Domination!" Uh oh. He just implied he can multiply his Domination attack by itself 2 times. The arena is crushed right away but Madeline has a counter: "Ultimate Aura!" A much more powerful version of her aura attack is sent out and forces Yappa Yappa to counter with his full strength. He crushes the light with his arms, the force of which hurts Madeline a bit.

Shit. I'm almost dead! If this goes on like this, I will be dead before they stop fighting. The cleric notices my precarious position: "I will save you, Adam! Trust me! Giga Cure!" My strength and so on returns but I have a lot of trouble getting back up. She was going to help me back up but Yappa Yappa laughed and attacked her: "I knew this was going to happen! You have sealed your own fate, Madeline! So much so that I forgot I'm supposed to leave right now! My master is yelling through our communications at me!" I managed to get back up: "You aren't going anywhere, sunshine! You have both of us to deal with again now! Haaaaaa! I'm going to risk it. Madeline, please keep him around and prepare to save my life! I just did this while fighting Gofast a mere 2 days ago but that won't stop me! It just won't! Let me reveal our collective resolve and forged bonds! An attack so wonderful and well designed it transcends far beyond the scope of most art forms! You remember this one, right Yappa Yappa?! Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" Madeline keeps him engaged in a fist fight and even makes light clones of herself continuously to offer no way out for Yappa Yappa. This won't hurt him much but it'll help our allies fighting in Miitopia have a bigger chance of winning. But if we do somehow manage to defeat Yappa Yappa here, that invasion that UMC is doing will fail miserably. I doubt we will, so we're going to leave some nasty "presents" on him physically and mentally. My whole body is breaking again and the pain is just horrible.

It will be months if not years until I can use the attack without destroying my body when I do it with no one to help me, we'll just have to see. As soon as my vision starts to go black like always, I unleash the attack as Madeline uses Ultimate Aura to knock Yappa Yappa back at the perfect moment. Due to this, our foe is caught up in my attack and sustains a little bit of damage. With it over, we rush toward him as soon as he starts to get himself back up. However, he disappears through a dark portal while saying: "You just screwed yourselves! How yucky! Destroying Miitopia is going to be the best time of my life! See you when I can better kill you! Suffer till next time for me! We're going to have so much fun playing together 1 or 2 more times in your 2022! Bye mutant freaks!" I utter as Madeline heals me right up: "Damn it! He got away! We better catch up with the others!" We do so and witness the whole army of zombies on the ground, defeated. Just as the others, mainly Present Mic, Amy, Donha, and Tori start cheering, a man makes himself known among the swarm of defeated Dragonkin zombies. He laughs, his skin may be purple instead of pale but it's obvious who he is.

Komorka exclaims: "Mishka. It's you!" His ice blue eyes pierce through us while his blonde hair is darker than ever before. He's wearing the mostly red Dragonkin general outfit with golden shoulder pad like things he has mainly worn but with a few minor tears: "It's good to see a lot of you again! Hahaha! I'm back and I'm here for revenge! Jakarta may have been the one to bring me down but it was thanks to Rai and his friends that my subordinates failed time and time again! I don't need Tai Chi characters when so much power is inside of me! I was so surprised to be brought back to life but I guess destiny wasn't done with me!" He looks behind him and expresses disappointment: "Not only has the whole army failed me and Diga but those troops our new friends have sent are tied up at the moment! Must I do everything myself? It's so disappointing! And let's not forget that a blue creature named Yappa Yappa was supposed to kill all of you. But he's not here, how unfortunate! Not even all of you put together will be able to stop me, even if you had Jahara, Luka, Ave, and Garnia all helping you out! My victory is assured! Once I win here, I'm going to take down Diga myself because only I should be Suhn's Supreme Emperor! Diga is too old and incompetent to deserve that! I will lead the new Dragonkin Empire!" Kirva replies: "You're out of your mind, Mishka! We won't allow you to move forward with your plans!" "You fools don't have a choice in the matter! Like I said, I don't need the characters when I have all the power I need!"

His entire body is covered in various Tai Chi symbols. As a result, he moves with the move Tai Chi to sneak up on Kirva and stabs him with the sword Tai Chi. Or rather, he would have if I didn't see it coming. I block his attack and force him into a one on one sword battle: "Luka may be elsewhere but I'm here! Not nice to meet you! I'm Adam aka Swiftdrawer! You won't be forgetting my name anytime soon! After all, I know that you have some cards inside of you that don't belong to you. In fact, they must be retrieved. I hunt those cards." Mishka spent more time training how to use a sword but my experience and more intense training allows me to knock the energy sword he has right out of his hand just like that. Also, I see Spectre grinning out of the corner of my eye as he exclaims: "San Avalon Daphne! San Vine Thrash! San Avalon Drynome! Tighten your hold on those UMC troops! And allow me to watch in pleasure as our enemies struggle even more!" Mishka backs away from me with the move Tai Chi again. Sena exclaims: "Komorka, how is he able to use the Tai Chi 1000 like this?" "That I'm afraid I don't know, Sena."

I reply: "While Mishka decides to try to stop Spectre and his terrifying army of botanical nightmare comrades apparently, I can express a theory I have. He was bonded with half of the characters for a short time and almost succeeded in absorbing them for good. Hold on a second. Go, my artistic comrades and attack Mishka directly as many times as needed! *They do so* There we go. Anyway, the number cards inside of him have the ability to intensify any negativity inside of him to an extreme. He has a strong greed and lust for power. The numbers have elevated that and thanks to them crossing dimensions and coming into contact with all kinds of energy, I'm willing to bet the faint leftover energy from the Tai Chi 1000 upon its destruction has binded with the numbers. If I'm right, Diga has the same exact thing going on. That's a really bad thing. Be careful, Mishka is more powerful than he has ever been, everyone. Crap, I haven't explained how I know about the history of Suhn and Earth in this universe. That's for later at this point." Pixal states: "That is very much a plausible scenario that has actually happened. But I advise that everyone gets ready to fight because as indestructible Regnes is, he is not unbeatable. He cannot be destroyed but he can be defeated and tired out after long enough. Mishka will overcome all the Artist, San Vine, and San Avalon monsters within the next few minutes." Present Mic reacts: "In that case, it's about time to make some noise! I'll force Mishka to limit where he goes by using my quirk. All of you should use that in order to better predict where he will move next and attack him by utilizing that information."

Madeline adds: "I will stand next to you because as a cleric, I focus on far range attack and assist. But when it gets bad enough, I will fight Mishka head on myself." We all know what we must do. Rai complains: "Oh come on! Why does Mishka get to have all the fun with Tai Chi?! I wish we could still use Tai Chi too! That would make it so much easier!" Applejack replies: "Don't worry yourself none, y'all don't need them to defeat Mishka. My friends and I have defeated villain after villain by focusing on the power of friendship. I don't know how magic works here in Suhn if it's even here but still, working together is both honest work and is more successful than doing things alone. Y'all wouldn't believe how hard it is to maintain Sweet Apple Acres alone. That's why we apples all pitch in. Even though Apple Bloom's special talent is helping others discover theirs, she still helps out when she isn't busy. Even Granny Smith does what she can to help us tend the farm." Mishka defeats all of our duel monster comrades but I move towards him and smirk: "You haven't quite defeated Regnes just yet! I activate this Rank Up Magic spell card to evolve him into his greatest form! Ultimate Chaos Xyz Evolution! Show yourself at your full potential and bring on a world of screams and fear! Become what even the most cruel villains have a phobia of!" After evolving Regnes, I move back with the others as Mishka fights him and Spectre goes to us. He even says: "Well, I wasn't expecting him to take down all of my monsters. Oh well. I will just manifest my circuit once again!" He summons a fresh cast of botanical San Vine and San Avalon monsters and asks them to help fight Mishka who is winning out against Regnes gradually over time.

Amy gets impatient: "Come on! I want to smash that jerk with my hammer already! Why are we just standing here and talking? I WANT SOME ACTION EVEN IF IT MEANS I SMASH ALL OF YOU INSTEAD!" Rai replies: "How dare you! You can't smash us, we're fighting on the same team! Now stop complaining or else!" "Like I'd ever listen to you! The only person I'd stop for is Sonic, he's so dreamy!" All the monsters are defeated so Present Mic says: "That's my queue! Gotta run!" Aura speaks up: "Everyone, I'm sensing something within Rai and the other chasers." Rai calms down: "What is it, mom?" Komorka adds: "I can feel it too, dear." My Link VRAINS duel skill Artist's Eye randomly activates as I begin to deactivate my duel disk: "I detect a similar energy to the one I'm now feeling Mishka give off. What does this mean?" Pixal notices it too: "I'm picking up an unknown energy in each of the Tai Chi Chasers. Earlier, there was no such energy present in any of them. But now, it's there and it's growing by the second. We must hurry, Mishka is on the way to our current position as we speak." Spectre adds: "Here's an interesting hunch. What if they have the power of the Tai Chi 1000 inside of them? Even Genome would assume that your connection to Tai Chi characters would be stronger than just through your DNA. Master Ryokan and the others are too busy right now to back me up but I don't need that backup anyway." Aidan speaks: "Sena, imagine Tai Chi Pong and your head and act like you're activating it."

She does so and a gust of wind comes from her hands. "Well damn, my theory must not be correct then. Unless this is some kind of plot convenience." Because all of the San Vine and San Avalon monsters were defeated, the remaining UMC troops were freed. But instead of coming for us, one of them yells: "All UMC troops, reinforcements are required in Miitopia! Onward to Miitopia, men! Not even Yappa Yappa's arrival is turning the tide in our favor there!" Donha asks: "What's Miitopia exactly?" I reply: "Not now. There will be time later when this crisis gets resolved one way or another. I'm sorry but there's no time for a QA right now." Mishka reaches us and is about to use the Tai Chi destruction character when Rai uses the explosion character: "Tai Chi Pawk!" Mishka is surprised and uses the Tai Chi music character as a shield to defend himself: "You have the power of Tai Chi inside of you too? Well, that makes things much more interesting, doesn't it? And honestly, that won't save you either! It's interesting how you keep fighting on even though you have no chance against me! I will enjoy finishing you off once and for all!" Amy yells: "Don't forget about us, you blockhead! You have to deal with us too!" I add: "That's right! You forgot about us, the wayfarers who have come to this world to help stop you! *gets into the same pose as earlier* Be as it may, none of us will give up even if you knock all of us down or get one of us to go berserk with the Tai Chi hideous character! It's like the Oni Mask of Hatred that was in Ninjago until it was destroyed. Had to deal with a little run in with that mask which was somehow found and fixed by Pythor of all snakes last month while visiting Ninjago to talk some important stuff to the ninja. Anyway, you can't stop us very easily! We will persist and endure against all of your tricks!" "How funny, it's too bad none of you will survive to see me destroy and kill Diga myself along with much of his army of mindless zombies! Oh btw, you can't kill me! I'm already dead!"

Pyron yells: "Don't be so sure of that, Mishka! There will be consequences for your actions." I move away from the others and position myself on the opposite side of the range at which Present Mic's yelling hurts the ears of anyone too close. By spreading ourselves out, it will be much harder for Mishka to take down all of us. This also allows us time to prepare for him to suddenly attack us out of nowhere. I get ready by surrounding myself in an Extremely Risky Spin Slash with 6 times it's normal power. If Mishka wants to get me, he'll have to deal with that first or go above it and drop down into the eye of the tornado which is where I'm standing. Having done that, I eat an HP banana to take care of the exhaustion I have accumulated as of late for the time being. In the distance, I hear him engage Spectre who reveals out loud: "I'm more capable than just summoning my San Vine and San Avalon friends! After all, I am a Knight of Hanoi and have spent years building on my other skills. In fact, I can even generate a data storm outside of Link VRAINS with the help of a program developed by Faust and the others! Try breaking this storm and keeping up with me!" It's obvious from the noise I hear that Spectre is riding a duel board. That integration between Link VRAINS and Arc V tech along with other technology was brilliant. Not only can someone manifest as their Link VRAINS avatar in a non digital world now but they can even go further than that such as generating a data storm.

Saw that in action when Al made one while we were on the hunt for Gofast. I heard he and Playmaker are dealing with some bounty hunters in Link VRAINS who have gone AWOL after Sol Tech ditched them, currently. But then, Mishka gets to Spectre: "Oh but it's not enough to stop me! You look in bad enough shape, I will just destroy you later. I'm going to go after the one who angered me with confident words earlier. Goodbye for now until I kill you on my path to take over all of Suhn for myself!" Mishka comes for me and easily breaks through my fiery tornado: "You are going to have to try much harder to keep me away from you!" He also using the explosion Tai Chi p on me but it hardly dents my armor in the slightest: "You should have seen the strength of my armor coming. It has protected me from some seriously frightening attacks used against me by my enemies. Too bad for you that that didn't work." He laughs: "I was just warming up and seeing what you were made of! After all, I like knowing what it'll take to destroy everyone who dares get in my way!" "In that case, consider me tougher to beat than you can calculate! Drawing Destruction!" He uses the move Tai Chi to evade my attacks but I accelerate and manage to get a couple hits on him that somehow only do minor damage to him in the end. Shit, this is not going well. He looks unfazed and barely harmed at all as things are currently.

Just gotta hold on, hold on to drain him as much as I can. Mishka cannot be allowed to beat and kill every single one of us. "Is that all you got because you'll have to do much worse to even threaten me a little bit! I am 1 with the Tai Chi 1000, no one can stop me! I've been dreaming of this as someone who is formless!" He uses the fire and wind Tai Chi to try to hurt me and show me up. "That won't show me up! Continuous Extremely Risky Spin Slash: 10!" I went further than I have with that move in battle than ever before. Mishka is knocked off his feet but remains largely unharmed. I eat an HP banana before he makes another move: "If that won't work, there's one thing I can do, almost die for the 3rd time today doing what I can to fight you! Take this! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" This catches him by surprise, giving me the time to finish it up even though my body is literally falling apart again. I collapse to the ground after unleashing it at full power looking like a mess of a heap. My attack does some damage and sends Mishka flying away from me. He lands in Present Mic's range. The UA teacher and pro hero yells louder than ever to seriously devastate our foe. Then there's the elephant in the room, I'm dying again. With all my strength, I hold on, waiting for Madeline to heal me and whoever else has been hurt so far such as Spectre.

Mishka moves out of Present Mic's range and returns to me just to taunt me: "If you're still alive by the time I defeat everyone, I will have so much pleasure in killing you on the road to becoming ruler of all of Suhn! Everyone will bow down to me, including the zombies! Just you wait! And when you're dead, you'll be mindless zombies under my control!" He uses the move Tai Chi to go to someone else and battle them. I get so close to death this time, I even see an illusion of the grim reaper in my vision but Madeline saves my life, once again. There's no way I'd risk using my best attack if I knew there weren't any healers around to make sure I don't die and get fixed up in a jiffy. I'm so exhausted and my left leg hurts even after the healing. I'm going to go after Mishka, even if it's the last thing I ever do in this body! I won't let him hurt anybody else without dealing with me again. Crap, my band has run out of energy because I kept forgetting to charge it. And my phone is something I forgot to bring with me. Just great. Guess I just have to wander until I find somebody, making sure to not get blasted by the sound of Present Mic's voice. After 15 or so minutes of limping, I find Mishka battling Amy who is holding out extremely well by dodging a lot. To be continued.

Outro: Well, this sure was a wild chapter! Yappa Yappa's already back in the game and this time, he wasn't defeated, he was forced to retreat! This adventure in Suhn will have an additional part. Next month is the B Daman arc and I think the start of the Steven Universe arc as well if I recall correctly. I nailed the depictions of each of the characters, I especially did well depicting Mishka and Spectre! You'll be seeing more San Vine and San Avalon Spectre mayhem in the future!
