Far, far away between Chinese mountains
Lies a series of peculiar fountains.
What's so strange about them, you say?
If you found out, you'd rue the day!
For many a year and a day ago,
Longer than most people know,
Many tragic drownings occurred.
Though what I'll say next will sound absurd,
Those who fall in the Jusenkyo springs
May wind up with paws or may wind up with wings.
Due to a terrible curse from the past
They'll become whatever drowned there last.
Hot water takes the effect away,
But only until the next rainy day.
Don't blame me if it happens to you!
