Chapter 13: Marauders
The three of them made their way back to the common area before heading to their dorm. When they arrived, everyone was thrilled. Jason exclaimed, "We're going to be on the quidditch team...in our first year...our bloody first year." Luke asked Xavier what he was thinking as he sat on his bed and grinned. Xavier chuckled and replied, "Oh...just something my dad said." "Well then...we're all waiting what did he say," everyone remarked as they turned to face him. "He said Xavier, you'll make a lot of friends at Hogwarts, some of whom will be drawn to you because of your fame... Simply...be sure to pick good and loyal friends who will become the future marauders". "What are the marauders, Jason then inquired? " The Marauders were a group of four Gryffindors and classmates, including Peter Pettigrew the traitor, Remus Lupin, my godfather, Sirius Black, my uncle, and James Potter, my father. They all attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Let's just say they had a flair for rule-breaking and mischief-making." Xavier laughed, then added, "My father always told me that when I get to Hogwarts, I should build my own gang of the new marauders...with friends who are loyal and who aren't friends with me because of my money or fame...and I think I found the three right companions." Jason and the twins could see precisely where this was headed, Xavier said, "So would you like to join me in being the future Marauders? " "YES! ", all three of them at once. After a little moment of silence, Jason remarked, "Okay, what's our first task, mission, or whatever?" which made Xavier very thrilled. "Well you'll just have to wait...but for now I have to write and post a letter," Xavier grinned as he stood up.
