Chapter 14

Albus felt horrified that this Team Rocket leader would use children for his gains for power and to know that he already used one for ultimate power meant that he wouldn't stop at that one child. "Blaine," he said. "Surely this person you said that gives you information at times could tell you where this poor child is?"

Blaine nodded. "He could but in order for him to do that, he would need time and a way for it not to lead back to him in any way, shape, or form." He said. "I do not interact with the dealings with Team Rocket so any information Ken gives to me is more like tiny rumors than anything. He is not directly in the works of the laboratory that creates things for the Rocket leader but he does guard them or get information for them."

"Surely he could-"

"Albus," Blaine cut him of and glared at him. "If Ken betrayed the organization on a whim just to help one child, he would end up in the same position as Fuji and the previous Mewtwo. He may be able to get some information for me but he is, at heart, a true Team Rocket member, and wouldn't betray them without putting the blame upon another person."

"What about Harry, surely you have some idea on where he is?"

"I don't know any Harry." Blaine said as his glare lessened. "But Mewtwo has not been seen since Fuji sent the last letter and I believe that if they want privacy and a place to hide from Giovanni then I probably won't get another letter telling me where or how they are." He stood and handed Albus the album. "You might want to take a look at each picture closely because it won't be leaving this room once we are finished." He then sat back down and watched as Albus opened up the album.

Albus was astonished at the level of detail that the drawings showed. Each drawing showed a young boy in the tube that Blaine told him about and each drawing showed him changing from boy to creature. A few times Albus had to look away to control his emotions but this Fuji, his drawings seemed to get more and more detailed and realistic as the years with Harry seemed to become the only purpose he had left in life, as if he thought of Harry as family and was cherishing each and every moment that he could in each drawing. The last drawing was the one that grabbed Albus' attention the most. It showed what Harry had been turned into with half open eyes that seemed to stare into your soul and a type of power that radiated throughout his body and even if this was just a drawing, Albus could almost feel the anguish and pain that was put into the last little detail which was one simple sentence at the bottom of the drawing. 'I will always protect you, my son.' He was right about his assumption about this book upsetting him greatly because he couldn't keep the feeling of complete and utter self loathing at not being able to protect Harry.

"I thank you for showing me this Blaine." Albus said gently. "I truly appreciate the honesty you have brought fourth to me. I honestly don't know what to think about this revelation about Harry let alone another child that is undergoing the same horrible experiment."

Blaine nodded as Albus got out of his own chair and handed him back the scrapbook, which Blaine promptly put away back into the hidden compartment. "Will you still continue your search of Mewtwo then?" He asked.

"I need to find him." Albus said. "He needs to know some things and to just leave him after coming so far is just too much to ask of myself."

"Very well." Blaine said and the room was suddenly released from the metal walls and bright light shone through the windows. "Now, remember what I said about that card Albus." Blaine led him out of the room and towards the entrance of the hotel. "I hope your travels lead you to your destination safely."

Albus nodded, patting the upper pocket of his jacket. "It is safe and sound Blaine. Will I be allowed to room here again?"

"Of course Albus." Blaine said emailing. "Even though some of our discussions were a bit dark, that wouldn't stop me from keeping you from a safe and secure place to rest anytime you wish."

"Thank you so much Blaine." Albus said before he started to backtrack to the spot he and Fawkes arrived.

Mewtwo, after a few more hours of rest, was soon sitting in the living room on a nice and soft reclining chair as Delia, Ash, Pikachu, and Mew all sat on the couch. Mew had just told him about the visiting Moltres that landed in the backyard after he felt the power from Mewtwo and now along with a female that Mewtwo had to figure out how to get to and save, he had to deal with another Pokémon and his so called companion in which he was almost regretting coming with Ash to help him on his journey if all he could do was attract even more attention to himself than he would've liked. "So this Moltres said he would be back with a companion and we would be in our disguises to avoid this companion from immediately calling the authorities to come grab Mew and I from Ash even though we are legally bound to Ash through our Pokéballs?"

"Eh…" Mew sweat-dropped. "Not to that level of detail of consequence but I guess?" She shrugged at Mewtwo.

"Do you know how long until they arrive?" Mewtwo asked as he levitated a glass of ice water to drink and refresh himself.

"Not exactly but Moltres did say within the next week so it could be as soon as tomorrow or later in the week." Mew said.

"I don't get something though." Ash spoke after a moment of silence making everyone look at him. "Moltres told Mew all this but one thing he didn't explain is why he was the only legendary to feel the power that Mewtwo let loose and no other legendary did."

Mew's eyes widened at that. "I didn't even feel the power and it was only due to Mrs. Ketchum coming in and asking me for help that I realized something was wrong." She said.

Mewtwo's own eyes narrowed. "I was not aware of that little fact." He mused. "Good observing Ash."

"I have my moments of brilliance!" Ash exclaimed making everyone chuckle.

"Pika pi pika." Pikachu said.

"I don't leave the thinking to you!" Ash said back at Pikachu. "If I left the thinking to you, you would just want to find the nearest ketchup dispenser to gorge yourself on!"

"Pika!"

"Yes you would!"

"Alright Ash," Delia interrupted the two friends banter. "That is enough. You need to rest up just as much as anyone in this house and arguing with friends does not help with healing."

Ash just stuck his tongue out at her and slumped into the couch glaring at his cast on his leg. "I guess all we can do is wait for this guy and legendary Pokémon to arrive at our door any day and to be on our guard every time the door gets a knock or a ring from the doorbell?" Ash asked.

"That seems to be the case." Mewtwo said as he felt a bit annoyed at the future prospect of someone else knowing his past. "Mew, if I remember correctly, you said that you can use the move transform as long as you want correct?"

"Yes, why?" Mew answered with a confused look on her face.

"I think we need to stay disguised 24/7 until Moltres and his companion come to see us." Mewtwo grunted as Mew's powers washed over him and a bit of a headache started but it quickly went away as he closed his eyes.

"You okay Mewtwo?" Delia asked gently as she noticed Mewtwo in slight discomfort. "Do you need to rest a bit more?"

"Just a headache Delia." Mewtwo assured. "I think it just might be from the stress I was under earlier."

"Let me try to make you something to eat then." Delia said gently moving so that she didn't knock Mew over as she got up. "I'll make everyone some tasty chips and dip!" Ash cheered at the prospect of food along with Pikachu while Mew clapped in a cute way before Delia left the room.

Mewtwo opened his eyes once more and looked over to the remote that was on the table and said, "I think I would like to see what is on the television if that is okay Ash."

"Sure Mewtwo." Ash said.

Mewtwo nodded his thanks as he used his Psychic to lift the remote and bring it towards him. He wasn't exactly in a good position to see the television without a slight glare from lights as he was at an angle but he wasn't too picky about it. He turned the television on and started flicking through the channels all the while noting which ones were informational, entertaining, funny, saddening, and selling. He decided on a news channel for a little bit to see the going ones in the region but after noting that Mew and Ash were getting bored he changed it to a movie channel. He was lucky with changing the channel just in time too as it was just starting and the music started, the title of DragonHeart appeared in bold golden text in the middle of the screen after a fireball hit the black screen, and the scene of a boy and a man in a practice sword fight started.

Delia came out with the chips and dip as the beginning scene started to end and sat down in her previous spot before watching the movie with everyone. Mewtwo found the movie entertaining as he snacked upon the chips and dip he had in his lap and, if he was completely honest, the film was quite moving in ways he never imagined a human movie could be. There was a fully animated dragon type Pokémon that wasn't quite a real Pokémon and it even talked with a soothing deep voice with a slight accent, a man that looked like a knight from olden times, a woman who was as fearless as she was proud, a silly poetic Arceucist who had a humorous lucky aim of an arrow, a queen who only wanted to right a terrible wrong, and a prince who's selfishness and bad temper made him go mad. The movie made Mewtwo almost cry at the end but he held his emotions in check as the four on the couch were already crying enough tears to fill a river bed.

Delia soon asked Mewtwo to turn the television off and let everyone know it was time for bed. Mewtwo only nodded and entered the guest room slowly to not aggravate his body too much but as he laid down on the bed in the darkened room he had only one thought come across in his mind. 'I wonder if I should follow the code that was told in the movie? I know it is a made up work of fiction by humans but the code seems to resonate within my very being.' Soon though, his eyes closed and he fell into slumber.

….

Surprisingly, once Albus got to his arrival point, Fawkes was already there waiting patiently on the grass in the darkness. "Hello Fawkes." He said making Fawkes nod in acknowledgement. "It hasn't been a week yet here we both are. Did you enjoy your time?"

Fawkes nodded before lifting one wing and letting out a quiet call.

Albus looked in the direction he was pointing but saw nothing. He wondered what his old friend was trying to say before he had to sigh as he realized that Fawkes wanted him to go in that direction. "I am guessing that you need me to go in that direction for a purpose?" He asked getting a nod. "Does it deal with Harry?" Fawkes shrugged making Albus sigh. "Before we go to where you want me to go I have news regarding young Harry. I met a man and he had informed me that he knew of Harry but also knew that Harry was changed in ways that is almost impossible to believe." Fawkes tilted his head at Albus in confusion and concern. "He was taken by certain humans of this world and changed slowly into a new type of Pokémon for this world slowly forgetting he was human until he forgot completely. Apparently the scientist who created him also viewed him as a son and helped him along the whole process." Fawkes crooned in confusion as Albus pulled out a tent and quickly set it up with his wand and making 10 flame lit lanterns before heading inside, Fawkes following behind. The interior of the tent, once lit and brightened by each one of the flames, was almost exactly like a large one bedroom studio apartment complete with a kitchen, two beds, a sitting room, a restroom, and even some furniture. Albus went over and sat on a chair that was in the sitting room while Fawkes sat on the bed watching as sadness appeared to age Albus by another 100 years.

'I wonder…' Fawkes thought for a second before quickly paying attention to Albus as he spoke again.

"Apparently, young Harry now knows his name only as something called Mewtwo." Albus stared at his hand as it clenched and unclenched missing the look Fawkes gave him in his alarm at hearing the name. "He won't even remember being human and has powers that he knows personally. I almost have no right going to him now and asking him to come to another world to learn how his actual parents grew up learning magic." Albus looked at Fawkes and smiled a sad smile that seemed all too weary. "Harry never even knew his name before he even appeared in this world. He probably wouldn't even want to begin to start learning since his childhood wasn't exactly ideal."

Fawkes crooned but chirping and indicating the area where he was pointing to before with some happiness in his trills as Albus furrowed his brows in confusion at his antics. Fawkes sighed in slight irritation but didn't hold a grudge when Albus couldn't understand what he was trying to indicate. 'Boy I wish I was a psychic Pokémon at times.' Fawkes thought to himself.

"I am sorry my dear friend." Albus said. "I know you would like me to go where you indicated but I desperately need a rest and to think about what I have discovered." He watched the floating flame the lamp held that was placed in front of him on a table. "Learning that Harry has never had a chance to just be a child like I had wanted…" he put his hands into his lap, intertwining his fingers. "It makes my failure even more difficult to try and correct so nothing I planned before would even work and I doubt showing him the things I brought would trigger a happy memory from before the change not to mention the Dursley's before that." Albus felt a nudge against his upper right arm and saw that Fawkes sitting beside him in a supportive manner. "Even if I can't always understand you, you always have a way to comfort me." He smiled before he felt his charm fade off his clothes turning them back into the outfit he wore talking to Blaine. "It seems that my magic is also telling me to get some sleep." He chuckled getting up and changing into some light blue robes with clouds all over them and a yellow nightcap with a purple puff ball hanging off the end. He went over to the bed and laid down waving his wand to extinguish the flames only to get confused why it was still slightly bright and a flame was flickering but as he turned to the source, he chuckled at the regretful expression Fawkes had upon his face. "It is alright Fawkes." He conjured a sleeping mask and put it on with one last comment to his friend. "Though, I will say that you do make an excellent nightlight."

Fawkes squeaked in denial before laying down and soon everything went peaceful and silent, the only noise being the residents of the tent slight snores as they drifted into a restful sleep.

….

Mewtwo awoke suddenly to the female calling for help but this time images were shown of her breaking out of a tube, destroying a mansion, and fighting against a man and then against a strong Pokémon before disappearing into a cave as the battle finished. He sat up in his bed, ignoring the slight pain he got by doing it so quickly, and got out of bed walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water. He gazed out the window and noticed it was still dark out but nothing he did seemed to settle his nerves as the images came to the forefront of his mind. He felt like this call was more important than the rest but he needed to let everyone here know where he was going otherwise he probably would drive them unto the break of insanity with worry though he didn't understand why they would since he could obviously take care of himself fine.

He sighed before looking in the drawers for any type of paper and writing utensils for him to leave a note for everyone. He knew that the disguise he was currently in would confuse the Mewtwo sending him these calls for help and visions but going out in the world like a Lucario would not raise as much suspicion as an unknown Pokémon would. He sent out a telepathic message to Mew to see if she was awake at all but got little snores instead of a reply so he just resumed trying to find something to leave a note on.

Mewtwo finally sighed in relief when he located a sticky notepad and a pen in a drawer next to the fridge before jotting a quick but detailed message to everyone on where he was going and that he should be back within a day or so. He peeled the paper off the rest of the pad and walked over to his bedroom door, closing it before putting the note on the doorknob for anyone easily notice though knowing Ash and Mew, they might try to barge in before even noticing the note anyway. He shrugged it off as Mew most likely could contact him using her telepathy if it really came down to it and so he went to the front door, opened it, and walked outside into the darkness closing the door quietly behind him.

He looked ahead of him and closed his eyes as he pinpointed the origin of the signals he had been getting from the female which indicated that it was coming from the Northeastern direction of where he was currently standing. He quickly started to run as a foreign feeling of desperation started to grow from inside him and though he never felt it himself, the feeling seemed to be coming from the female and the more it grew, the more concerned he became for her. He stayed clear of the roads and away from any humans should they be wandering about as he ran though he took note of the area signs of where he was each time he took a slight breather. As the day started to break and the sun slowly rose, waking people and Pokémon alike, Mewtwo took note that he had run close to the city of Celadon as he took another breather and ate some of the fruit that grew from the tree he was in.

He took note of the city and spread out his senses a bit as he tried to figure out of the signal was here or not and after a couple of seconds, the weakened signal he could detect was still directing him northeast just past this city. He narrowed his eyes and tried to figure out how to avoid the waking residents that would soon be wandering about to begin their day and the quickest way to the signal he sensed before it was too faint to follow was through the city itself.

"MEWTWO WHERE IN ARCEUS ARE YOU!" A voice shouted in his head making him lose balance in the tree and fall out of it onto the ground on his backside, making him groan in pain as his head and now his tail hurt in synchronized throbs.

"Mew, there is no need shout so loud." He groaned, thanking that he at least was able to keep his telepathic powers to at least talk over long distances. "I am able to hear you even if you send a whisper to me telepathically."

"We woke up to only a note saying that you needed to seek out the one calling you!" Her voice sounded reprimanding and worried all at once. "Delia and Ash literally collapsed in tears thinking that you didn't trust them enough to at least wake them before they started to panic and run around like a couple of rattata scuffling about each others territory!"

Mewtwo stood up and growled as he became slightly agitated with Mew but brushed it aside. "I see no reason for them to fret." He said before concentrating on his task. "Mew, I need you to cancel the transform on me."

"Mewtwo," Mew's voice sighed. "If I do that, I won't be able to reapply it unless you are physically in front of me. Are you sure you need to risk it?"

"Mew," Mewtwo growled louder. "I know what I am doing! I am not a child for you to concern yourself with!" He clenched his paw into a fist as he struggled to control his anger. "Now do it!" A couple seconds of silence ticked by before Mewtwo felt the reversal come and he sighed in relief as he felt everything return to him and the feeling of normalcy came over him making the task ahead of him easier than before.

"Return soon Mewtwo." Mew said sending her feelings of agitation through to him before she faded from his mind.

Mewtwo closed his eyes and concentrated again on the slowly diminishing signal before locking onto it and smirking as he used teleport to arrive to the source but when he arrived he was not expecting to be attacked from behind and pinned to the ground in pure darkness. He groaned before throwing the offending Pokémon off of him and going into battle stance as he turned to face his opponent but paused as flames all around him erupted, bringing light into the cave making his eyes widen in amazement at the Pokémon in front of him. It looked almost exactly like him though the shading was a bit lighter and the antennae were a bit shorter but the injuries on it were what caught his attention most as it's body was almost completely covered in burns and scratches, its breathing was heavy and exhausted sounding, and it trembled with every second it stood.

Mewtwo looked at the other closely as a female voice said, "Why are you here? And why are you like me?"

He looked into her piercing lavender eyes before standing and saying, "I am Mewtwo. And I am here because you have called me."
