Hostage crisis

Two weeks later...

Quinlin Vos leaned back in his pilot seat with his legs up on the dashboard. The autopilot light shined up from underneath. He takes a breath, but stops when his ship's com beeps. He unravels and taps it, commenting, "Hope the council didn't get my pictures."

A small hologram of Fox appears, "General Quinlin Vos, as soon as you get back to Coruscant, come to my office. Commander Fox out." hang up.

He blinks for a moment, then gets back to relaxing, "Sounds urgent."

com beeps again, "If you are not here in twenty-four hours, I will send a squadron of men to retrieve you. You'll be briefed once you arrive." off again.

"Cool, I can waste a whole eight hours." and gently speeds up the ship.

Vos is escorted into Fox's office. He sees the Commander waiting, "Hey Commander man, got your message. What's this about?"

Fox motions for him to sit. Vos sits in the visitor's seat and puts his feet up on Fox's desk. Fox hands him a data pad, "This happened two weeks ago."

Vos reads it for a minute. His eyebrows shoot up and he pulls his feet down, "Full lock-down... hostages... bombs..." he looks up, "That's a lot of dead people." reads some more. He finishes and tosses it back to Fox, "Two weeks meditation vacation and everything gets ugly. Really sucks to be you, man."

Fox taps at it for a bit, then sets it down, "That's an understatement."

Vos leans back in his seat, "So, why are you debriefing me instead of the Jedi council?"

Fox stands up, "So the Jedi wouldn't send me a third rate investigator, again." then grows serious as he came around. He crosses his arms and growls intensely, "I want Cad Bane, his posse, and Ziro the Hutt in my prison. I need your skills to take them down. Got that?"

Vos blinks for a moment, mildly intimidated, then sits correctly, "Definitely. Got any idea where they went?"

Fox turns on the small holo-projector on his desk, "You speak Huttese. You tell me." It plays a recording of Ziro's conversations with the other Hutts.

Vos listens and watches for a few minutes before pausing it, "He's going to the Hutt council on Nal Hutta. Apparently he's holding something and they want it bad."

Fox tilts his head in thought, then orders, "Tell no one where you got the info. If the Jedi learn that I gave it to you, they will question my involvement in the hostage crisis, making my job harder."

Vos nods, then gets up, "Yeah, I understand, man. They scrutinize everything I do too. So, you taking me to the temple, or...?"

"I'll have my men drop you off after you get a call. You have time to waste til then."

he nods again, "Sweet." then starts to leave.

Fox adds, "Inform me if the mission fails."

he looks back and gives a two finger, lazy salute, "Sure thing, Commander." then leaves.

Fox waits until Vos is gone to sit back down in his seat. He pulls out a data pad from a large pile behind his desk and reads it.
