The next chapter and we meet Savage Opress.
They landed on the dark planet of Dathomir. Tyron always felt an unease even hearing about the stories of the Dathomir witches. Being on the planet now, didn't fill his mind with ease. But as he was going with his master, he felt a presence there, a presence he hadn't felt since⦠he smirked to himself and put those feelings aside. Right now, they were looking for a new warrior. Dooku and Tyron landed and exited the ship to be greeted by the head witch, Mother Talzin.
"Mother Talzin." Dooku greeted.
"Count Dooku, come." Mother Talzin said, leading them into their little temple.
"Thank you for receiving us, Sister. I believe the old alliance can again be what it once was. You would only have to pledge your clan's allegiance to the Separatist' cause. We could certainly use the powers of the Nightsisters against the Jedi." Dooku explained, trying to sway the witch to their side. Tyron knew it was for naught, they preferred to stay out of the wars of others.
"Such a generous offer, Count. But our loyalty is reserved for only each other. The only reason I am aiding in your search for a new assassin is because long ago, you chose to help me." Mother Talzin responded. Tyron felt unease at her mannerisms, even her voice sounded mystical. It sounded like more than one voice was talking. "After this matter is resolved, I hope our paths never cross again."
"As you wish sister." Dooku said. Tyron could tell he was disappointed. Mother Talzin turned around to get a glance at Tyron.
"You have a promising student Count." Talzin said. "He is very powerful, why not use him more often?"
"He is powerful. But for me, he is above such lowly deeds." Dooku said with pride.
"Indeed he is. I sense he will become very powerful in his training." Talzin said.
"Not too powerful, I hope." Tyron said, remembering what Sidious said to Dooku.
"A different kind of power." Talzin said. They made their way into a temple and sat down at a table. Talzin used her magic to produce a drink for them. "Drink. You must gather your strength after such a long journey." Both Dooku and Tyron took a drink from the magic cup. "Blackroot, to replenish the body."
"Thank you." Dooku said.
"Quite refreshing." Tyron commented.
"You have heard of the Sith warrior, Darth Maul, have you not?" Mother Talzin asked. Tyron didn't really know who Darth Maul was. The name came up here and there, but he never paid any mind to it.
"Yes, he was slain on Naboo at the hand of Obi-Wan Kenobi." Dooku explained.
"A few still remain in his bloodline. The men dwell on the far side of Dathomir. What if I could provide another of his kind?" Talzin told them.
"A warrior of the same caliber?" Dooku asked.
"Yes, but I warn you, men are easy to acquire. Hard to control." Talzin explained.
"When has that ever stopped the Sith?" Tyron said. Dooku gave him a look as if to tell him to be silent.
"With my last assassin, Asajj Ventress, dead and the Jedi's attacks against me increasing, procuring a new assassin is essential." Dooku explained.
"Very well. It shall be done my lord." Mother Talzin said.
They waited on Serreno for a few days until the Nightsisters returned with their new warrior. Tyron and Dooku stood at the landing platform when the Nightsisters landed.
"At last." Dooku said. Tyron stood silently to his side. He wasn't overly confident, but he would see what they did. A few sisters stepped out along with Mother Talzin. "Sister."
"Count Dooku." She greeted. "May I present, Savage Opress?" She gestured to the back of the ship. The giant stepped forward, it was a yellow and black skinned Zabrak that stood nearly twice as tall as Tyron. He was wearing dark grey armor and had a battleax. Tyron smirked slightly; this could be his way out. He would have to get through to him to make him betray Dooku, but it could work. Given time.
"He certainly is a sight to behold." Dooku said impressed.
"The fiercest of his kind, my lord. He shall serve you well." Mother Talzin said.
"Yes, he shall." Dooku said smiling. Savage got to one knee as if pledging himself to Dooku. They left to begin their training, but first, Tyron decided to greet him.
"I hope you fit in well here, Savage." Tyron said placing his hand on his shoulder, but not before giving a little shock to his temple. Savage grunted in response.
"Something wrong?" Tyron asked. Savage looked confused for a moment.
"No, nothing is wrong." He said.
"Good, that would be rather embarrassing." Tyron said, a knowing smirk on his lips. They made their way to Dooku's chambers.
"Mother Talzin speaks very highly of your skills. Still, I require proof of your abilities as a warrior." Dooku said pulling up a hologram of a temple. "The Jedi are in control of a vital outpost on the jungle planet of Devaron, a temple."
"A temple?" Savage asked.
"Do not be fooled Savage. The temple of Eedit serves only as a front for the military operations of the Republic. It is essential that we seize the temple if the Separatists ever hope to take control of that corner of the galaxy. You shall go to Devaron and take what is rightfully ours." Dooku explained.
"Yes, my lord." Savage said bowing his head.
"Tyron. You will go with Savage and oversee the operation. But I want you to not aid him in this mission. This is his moment to show us what he is capable of. Once the mission is complete, report back to me." Dooku said.
"Yes, my master." Tyron said. "Come Savage, let's get you to Devaron." Tyron said before doing another shock to Savage's temple. This went unnoticed by both Savage and Dooku.
Taking the sail barge, Tyron and Savage made their way to Devaron. Already there were some battle droids engaging Republic forces. It didn't look too well for the Separatists, but now that Tyron and Savage were here, it could turn the tide. They landed near the battle and Savage quickly got out. He began pushing his way through the droids which amused Tyron. Savage then got hit with a blaster, but he shrugged it off. It appears the witch's magic might be protecting him. Just then, Savage got to the clones. Tyron had to admit, for being such a large and tall beast, Savage was surprisingly, quick. He dispatched of all the clones without even breaking a sweat. Eventually he got to the Jedi. Tyron decided to get a better look and went closer to see two Jedi, a master and an apprentice destroying the last of the droids.
"Jedi." Savage growled.
"Master?" The Padawan asked scared.
"Stay back!" The Master ordered.
He then began to engage in battle with Savage. Savage quickly disarmed him without even blinking. The Jedi master decided to use hand to hand combat instead, trying to kick him. But Savage quickly countered and brought the Jedi to his back before stabbing him with his ax.
"No!" The Padawan exclaimed. He then tried to charge Savage, but in a quick motion the student was just as bad as the master and was quickly killed. Tyron walked over impressed by the sight.
"Not bad. Not bad at all Savage." Tyron commented. "Oh, this will work out for us perfectly." He pulled out his comm link to contact Dooku. He appeared on a hologram. "Master."
"Is it finished?" Dooku asked.
"The temple is taken." Tyron said.
"And the Jedi?" Dooku asked.
"Dead." Tyron said.
"Savage?" Dooku asked. Tyron smirked.
"He went through them in under a minute. I think he will be a great asset to our cause." Tyron said.
"Very impressive. Both of you, return to Serrano immediately." Dooku ordered.
"Yes, may master." Tyron said. "Time to go back, Savage." Tyron said.
"Yes, my friend." Savage said.
"Friend? Oh, it pleases me that you see me as such Savage." Tyron said putting another electric shock to Savage's temple. This time Savage flinched but paid no mind, other than it broke something within him. Some one's magic, that is.
I'll leave it there. Let me know what you guys think.
