And the final part of the Nightsister/Savage storyline.
It had been a few weeks since Devaron. Tyron and Savage were training under the watchful eye of Count Dooku. Savage had gotten a new lightsaber, a double bladed one the same as Darth Maul. But he was still getting used to it. Tyron and Savage ignited their blades and started to circle each other. Savage moved first but was tripped by Tyron.
"You have no technique." Dooku said from the side. Savage got up again and engaged Tyron in a few short clashes before he was disarmed. Tyron used a Force Choke and lifted Savage in the air. "Sloppy." Savage tried to charge Tyron but was tripped again. Tyron the grabbed his saber and held both at his throat. "But with the proper training you could be a powerful warrior. You have a natural ability, but we must hone it. Are you up for the challenge of putting your hate to better use?" Dooku asked him. Tyron offered him back his blade which Savage took.
"Yes, master." Savage said. Dooku left them alone for a moment.
"Do not be discouraged my friend. He's always harsh like that. It makes you stronger." Tyron said.
"Was he like this with you?" Savage asked.
"Yes he was." Tyron responded.
"How old were you when you started your training?" Savage asked.
"I was six." Tyron said.
"Impressive." Savage said.
"To you maybe. Your kind was made for this, to be great warriors. I was not." Tyron said.
"Then why did you join with him?" Savage asked.
"My mother. She wanted me to be safe, obviously not under the Jedi, but Dooku meant well enough. He took me in and raised me to be his perfect warrior. I suppose I fell short of that." Tyron said.
"But you are better than I. Surely he sees that." Savage said.
"Thank you Savage. You are a good friend; I will remember that." Tyron said sending another hidden shock To Savage's temple.
Later Tyron saw that Dooku had trained Savage to use his hatred to lift the pillars. He remembered that all too well, the pain of the lightning shot out at him was unbearable at first. But Tyron learned through the pain. Savage came up to him.
"That was painful!" Savage shouted.
"It is, the first time." Tyron responded.
"How did you do it? That seems impossible." Savage said.
"I drew out my anger and my rage. That power does not dictate your actions. The pain is helpful to draw out the dark side but don't let it command you. You can overcome it." Tyron said.
"I will try." Savage said.
"I'm glad to hear it my friend." Tyron said.
Tyron then found himself on the bridge of Dooku's cruiser. Savage had been sent to Toydaria. He was to bring their king, alive to Dooku. Apparently he had spited Dooku, though Tyron couldn't care less. This was the first time Savage was on his own. Tyron hoped he could do this efficiently without himself down there. His fears were heightened when Savage came in and brought the dead Toydarian to Dooku. He was not happy.
"You ignorant beast! I told you; I wanted him alive!" Dooku shouted shooting Savage with Force Lightning. Savage painfully groaned.
"Forgive me, my master." Savage pleaded.
"That is not the way of the dark side." Dooku responded shooting him with more lightning. Tyron was about to end Dooku right then and there when suddenly the doors opened to reveal… "Ventress." Dooku exclaimed. He was just a surprised to see her. Tyron knew she had to have survived and remembered the presence he felt on Dathomir.
"That's no way to treat your apprentice. I should know." Ventress gloated. Tyron and Dooku ignited their blades.
"Savage, you can make amends for your mistake by destroying this witch." Dooku said pointing to Ventress. She merely laughed at that.
"I don't think that will be happening, will it, Savage?" Ventress said tapping her finger to his forehead. "Remember where your true loyalties lie."
"With you mistress." Savage said.
They both ignited their blades and Tyron took a defensive stance along with Dooku. This would not be easy. Ventress went after Dooku while Tyron was engaged with Savage. He had to be careful, the Zabrak warrior was not one to be trifled with. His hits were powerful. Fortunately, Tyron knew how to counter them. Using his own weight against him Tyron made Savage go to the wall multiple times. Next was Ventress, he hated fighting with her, but he knew her emotions clouded her judgment. Tyron was always taught to be calm and collected, Ventress clearly wasn't the same. Savage had managed to disarm Dooku.
"Finish him now!" Ventress ordered. But Savage was quickly hit with Force Lightning. While Ventress was trying to kill an unarmed Dooku, Tyron tried to talk to Savage.
"You see that? She doesn't care for you!" Tyron said.
"Be quiet!" Savage said swinging his lightsaber at Tyron who deflected his blows.
"She's just using you for your own power!" Tyron said. Dooku blasted Savage with more Force Lightning. "Not so easy when you don't have help Ventress! No more hiding in the shadows like a coward!"
"You are one to talk! Running away when it's Skywalker's brat!" Ventress gloated. Tyron got on the offensive and gave Dooku enough time to get his lightsaber back. Savage tried to go after them again but was blasted once again with Force Lightning. "Get up! We must defeat him! Get up!" Savage tried to go again, but it seemed like the Force Lightning was too much and brought him down again. "Kill them! Kill them you fool!" Ventress screamed. She tried desperately to land a hit on either of them, but she could not. Savage once again tried to charge but Dooku's lightning got in the way. It was almost sad to be honest.
"I can't. He's too powerful." Savage groaned.
"Your weakness will not be my downfall!" Ventress yelled.
"A failed apprentice makes for a foolish master!" Dooku shot back.
"I don't believe you're a failure Savage! You are much better than them, Ventress, and Dooku! Join me! I won't treat you as a pawn like they have! That power does not control you! Only you can overcome it!" Tyron shouted. This took Dooku by surprise, he didn't expect that from Tyron. Just as he was thinking it over, Savage Force Choked both Ventress and Dooku. "Yes! Yes Savage! Now let's finish this together my friend!" Tyron shouted going after Dooku.
"You betrayed me!" Dooku said.
"You would have killed me same as her!" Tyron said.
Both he and Savage had knocked both Dooku and Ventress to the walls. Before they could do anything Ventress Force Pushed while Dooku shot lightning at both of them knocking them at the door. They both escaped using a secret hatch, leaving Savage and Tyron alone on the bridge. Just then, the door opened revealing Kenobi and Skywalker.
"Tyron!" Kenobi shouted.
"Oh lovely, even more trouble." Tyron sighed.
"We'll take them together." Kenobi said.
"Right." Skywalker agreed.
"Savage." Tyron said, both of them exchanging a look. "Get rid of them."
Savage smiled at that and charged at them screaming as he did so. He Force Pushed them toward the wall and engaged in fighting. Tyron, meanwhile, made his way to the hanger where he got the sail barge working. Unfortunately, when Savage arrived, the droids were shooting at him and once they realized Tyron was in the ship, they shot at it as well. Tyron guessed that Dooku gave them orders to kill them. He would not go out fighting. He came out of the ship and helped Savage deal with the droids. He saw that Kenobi and Skywalker were there as well, but the droids didn't notice them, likely because Dooku didn't know they were here. Tyron was doing well deflecting the blasts but was shot a few times in the arms and legs. But he gritted his teeth and fought through the pain. Savage was being bombarded with blaster fire, taking so many hits yet not flinching at it whatsoever. Savage was getting furious at it and used the Force to make a wave, knocking down everyone except himself and Tyron. He saw that Tyron was injured and picked him up putting his arm around his shoulder. They made their way to the ship and got out of there quickly.
They made their way to Dathomir and went to where Mother Talzin was. Savage and Tyron were limping when they got to her. Savage couldn't stand any more and dropped to the floor. Tyron helped him sit up. He was exhausted too.
"You have come home to us." Mother Talzin said. "And you have brought a friend."
"Tyron… saved me. Ventress betrayed us both, the Jedi are after us." Savage told her.
"We are not strong enough to face them all." Tyron said.
"Calm yourselves. You will be." Mother Talzin said, helping them both to their feet.
"I don't understand." Savage said.
"There is no one else in the galaxy who could train us. It's impossible." Tyron grumbled.
"You have a brother, Savage." Talzin said making the golden orb brighter.
"A brother? But all of my kin were killed." Savage explained.
"Not all of them." Talzin said. The image now popped up in the orb. It made Tyron gasp.
"Savage, your brother is… Darth Maul?" He asked shocked.
"He lives in the Outer Rim in exile." Talzin said.
"You mean to tell me Maul survived his death on Naboo?" Tyron asked.
"He has. You both will find him. He will teach you everything you need to learn to become even more powerful." Talzin explained.
"How will we find him? He could be anywhere." Tyron said. Mother Talzin pulled out a necklace that had a round shape on it.
"This talisman has been imbued with the power of our clan. It will be your compass." Talzin said putting the necklace around Savage's neck. "You both have an important destiny to fulfill, Tyron, Savage Opress. You and your brother. Go, you will know where to find him." Talzin said. Savage grabbed his lightsaber. He and Tyron looked at each other, confidence in their eyes.
"We shall return, Mother." Savage said.
Well, that ends the Nightsister arc. Now on to the next one, Maul.
