2. Chapter 2

More than a nakama, but a treasure woman

(AU) In taking Captain Buggy's treasure. Nami finds a list of treasure locations. But by a conflict with the others. She has to turn to the last result to get her way. Bashing characters. More awareness Luffy. Strawberry love. And other couples. Set before Baratie Arc.

I don't own One Piece (just the story), so of course, don't sue me. The characters, with no surprise, are gonna be OOC. For if they weren't, this would be like regular One Piece, being that some of the fights and events won't be too different, though some will.

Chapter 2 – Last result (part 2)

Unaware she been found out, Nami continues up the stairs. Although she's had a view of the front of the ship as soon as she left the storage room. So she already could see the black-haired young man perched on the Going Merry's bow. A bow that's a big figure head that looks like between a sheep or ram. But closer as she's approaching the railing. Nami sees Luffy's form hutch over somewhat, with his head resting on his knees as he's looking outward toward the night sea view. While his arms are wrapped around his legs.

However when Nami opens her mouth to speak. She didn't get a chance for the young man's head suddenly turns in her direction, wearing the familiar blank expression on his face, but nothing else despite she made sure the moonlight was bathed on her sexy form, showing off her revealing attire.

"Oh, Nami you're up? Usopp said you went to bed early to get some beauty sleep so don't bug you." Though that's not what she told Usopp. Nami doesn't correct as she explains why she's up.

"Actually I tried to sleep but I have too much to think about-"

"Thinking too much hurts. So stop thinking." By that cut in comment from Luffy. Nami controls herself from latching out as she normally does at him saying or doing something completely idiotic.

"Unlike you. It doesn't hurt when I think." Despite the insult clearly thrown at him. Luffy looks unfazed as he snickers.

"Shishishi. Probably right."

"Anyway," Nami goes on while resisting from rolling her eyes at his usual cluelessness. "Unable to sleep anymore I thought I get some fresh air. But once I saw you out here. I realize I wanted to discuss something's with you in private before morning."

Luffy resisted expressing any reaction to not just her words but also at her leaning slightly over the railing, purposely allowing her cleavage to be display to his eye view. As well her giving him a flirty look. Because even though she started these sly acts as if she wasn't intently trying to get a reaction from him. That he already felt the longing affect by just what she's wearing or precisely lack thereof, as soon he had turned to acknowledge her presence on the deck. He can't let it be shown how much her actions were impacting him, including the natural sweet fruity smell that lingers off her. A sweet smell that reminds Luffy of the juice Makino had him always drinking while in her care.

"About what?" Although Luffy knows, unknown to Nami, of her intention tonight toward him. He hopes things wont led to the way she seems intending too. Because that's not what he wants between them.

Nonetheless of that, with the purpose orders he placed this morning after Nami's unnecessary deceiving and lying to him. He actually set his current circumstances in play.

Especially since Nami would use her knowledge of his habit of staying up late at night past everyone being asleep, that he knows she discovered back on sailing those shared boats between her, him and Zorro. Where Luffy felt her eyes on him the whole time he was up. To seek him out tonight, but also to try to manipulate him with her female prowess not just flirtation but also seduction to get what she wants. Again the black-haired young man knows this.

Though logic thing is to come out and front Nami on her objectives tonight toward him. Luffy isn't. Yet he's sure Zorro has already realized why he wanted to handle Nami on his own without help, mainly after their last conversation. Nami is important to him if not special.

Learned things beyond just piracy from Shanks during the red-haired man and his pirate crew's two year long vacation in Luffy's village. Luffy realized that the unknown draw he felt the moment his eyes lock with Nami's the first time, during him and Cody escaping from Alvide's pirate crew in a small boat. Was the same force tug Shanks told him, that the red-haired felt when meeting Makino the first time in her bar.

That being the case, and him making eye-contact with Nami had been a quick glance before he couldn't see her no more. He still tried to brush off the encounter for he was still too excited in finally on his journey to become the pirate king. As he has the intendancies to let his excitement or hunger most the time outweigh his logic of awareness he been taught early in his childhood from both Makino and Shanks. Still he found himself meeting her again, yet despite the pull that he still felt in her presence. Luffy refused her offer in teaming up only cause he clearly knew she used him as a escape goat to get away from the trouble she obviously put herself in, not to mention his treasure hat almost got damaged in the process.

Yet he change his mind when she offered to feed him. After all nothing takes more focus to him then filling his tummy when hungry. But Luffy finds himself happy that he let his stomach led him.

Because not only he discovered Nami has navigation skills. But within her tying him up to give to Buggy. Luffy experience something he haven't felt since become a rubber person. Physical human contact. Other than sharp things. Luffy hasn't been able to feel touches from anyone outside his grandpa -though he long since been told by Makino that his grandpa's fist of love touch isn't something most people are able to possessed. Furthermore he consider his grandpa's painful touch unwelcoming. So when he suddenly felt a nice welcoming soft warm feeling from Nami's touch as she bind him with rope. Luffy, overwhelmed by the whole physical contact, basically didn't think too much on Nami using him again.

Decision leading him in a cage while still tied up. Yet because he felt no fear or worry in that situation. He focus at that moment on his stomach. And even if he pretend to panic at being blasted with a cannon. Luffy intended to use his devil powers when the cannon would go off. But seen the worry and unsure play on Nami's face that time. Luffy picked up on the cold and indifferent persona she display. Was just a show. That's why he didn't hesitate in question her resolve. After all every action leads to consequence. It's rather if you're ready for those consequences.

And then when she pulled out a bo-staff and used it on the pirate before he could light the fuse. He thought it was the hottest thing he seen and the surprising stiffness in his shorts proved that, and suppressing the sexual tension thereafter. Furthermore the Bo-staff has always been his favorite type of weapon, though he only used metal pipes besides his devil powers. Even his oldest brother, Ace owned a Bo-staff by the time he left the village a couple of years before Luffy.

Yet even though he saw Nami's Bo-staff skills were only just basic level that's why it wasn't surprising to him she couldn't fight more than one at a time. Leaving her defenseless to full on attack. But it's what she did next that sealed the deal in him befriending her. She stop the already lit fuse by burning her hands as she smothered it out. She got hurt in saving him and nearly got killed for it if Zorro didn't show up. And despite she claimed to have did all that because she didn't want to be like a pirate and kill. She shot the cannon back at Buggy and his crew with no trouble. Nevertheless, it's that event alone made him understanding why Shanks saw Makino so special. And why Luffy claims Nami's is his nakama rather she wants to be or not. The similar way he stubbornly felt and act toward Ace as his brother and friend despite he knew Ace didn't want anything to do with him at first.

But obviously, despite he's accepted her as his nakama. Luffy aware his deeper affection aren't the same as the family feelings he has toward the ones he sees as close family; mostly Makino, Shanks, Ace, and though he's long since passed -but not forgotten- his late big brother Sabo. And again thanks to Shanks's early teaching. Luffy knows the pull he still feels toward Nami. Makes her more than a nakama to him, despite her stay with them is only temporary. However in the time since they met and he been silently observing her -without being notice of course. Luffy noticed Nami has been smiling, laughing and having fun with them freely as well as she revealed to have compassion enough to aid "Old man bush" in retrieving his long-time treasure without wanting to steal it herself, despite he was a pirate.

Unfortunately that carefree, selfless and happy personality was no where to be found this morning. No her cold and indifferent demeanor was in play. Causing Zorro and Usopp to become suspicious by her openly actions in deceiving them.

Still Luffy wasn't too bothered by the whole thing at first, especially because he remembers what her goal is -despite he's sure she forgot she told him. That was until it caused trouble among his crew. That he couldn't allow to continue despite his feelings toward Nami. But he hopes by tonight if he doesn't gain Nami as a nakama -despite her stay on the ship is temporary. He at lease hopes he gets her to relay the reasons of her actions this morning so he can freely aid in her continuing collecting money even though he has no clue of the detail of why she's collecting so much money, regardless she stated lately she takes treasure because she's a thief. But then again, like he's caught on soon after encounter her. He can tell when she's lying, though she's good at making her lies believable to others.

Nevertheless of all that and him for once in his life distracted by something sexual a.k.a. Nami and her luring appearance. Luffy had to hold his will to not break. He needs her to know all she has to do is tell him she wants to collect more treasure instead of lie or manipulate in getting what she wants. Because above all else he trust her as his navigator. Despite he won't be able to call it a night until he's pretty sure tension like this morning between his crew doesn't happen again.

Meanwhile and though Luffy inwardly affected by her tempting actions. Not showing anything on facial expression but his mostly remaining blank look. Nami has no clue her efforts are working, that's why at heard his question. She found her opening to get this night more underway, by getting them closer.

"Oh some of it is to do with what transpired this morning. But not all of it." Still holding her leaning position over the railing, continues exposing her cleavage for view. Nami innocently tilts her head to the side, while giving Luffy a obvious cute, but seductive look. "Will you let me come closer to you so we can have a proper private talk?"

Dammit she's not making this easy. That much Luffy can see and being affected inward by it. But he wasn't giving in just yet. So with a smile he says, "Sure."

Then quickly before Nami could think or move. Luffy's stretch arm was coiling around her bare slim midsection. But because she only saw the black-haired young man use his stretching arms to grab something only to launch it into the sky; like a certain clown pirate. Immediately Nami grabs onto the part of Luffy's arm that wasn't wrapped around her. And just grips tighter when her feet weren't touching the deck but instead floating a few inches off the ship.

By the fear filling her system at thinking she's going to either fall into the water or flung into the sky. Nami begins to scream to the top of her lungs, but is cut off at the startle warmness coming from his arm when it made contact with her middle, follow with Luffy saying, "Shishishi, don't worry, Nami. I won't drop you."

Rather it's the warmth from his skin touching hers or the seriousness and comfort in his tone, despite the laughter mixed in. Nami believes his words. He won't drop her.

Fortunately, despite it felt like hours she was hovering in mid-air, it was seconds before she's lowered on the ship's head and faces Luffy instead the night sea view behind her.

"I told you I wouldn't drop you. It's my duty as captain to keep my nakama safe. Shishishi."

Unfortunately felt the warmth and safe a second ago and those words that somehow told he meant them as well openly consider her a nakama. Is causing conflicts within Nami about if she should keep going with her seduction plan or try something else.

However due to the warmth radiating off his arm still coiled around her even though she's safely on the bow with him. A part of her, that hoping he want remove his arm from around her any time soon. Is the part that's causing hesitation in her.

Thereby shortly accepted she can't keep continue what she intended to do tonight toward someone so innocent as well without a doubt asexual. Indicating that Usopp is right about Luffy. Bringing to her attention she was hoping to get a reaction out of him due to her sexy beauty. Showing that her struggling attraction toward him wouldn't be one-sided. Despite she remains stubbornly claiming her feelings for him doesn't mean nothing beyond physical interests. Nevertheless of all that. It's obvious this innocent idiot pirate feels unaffected by her.

Meanwhile during Nami's running mind. Luffy hasn't been fairing any better since making contact with his right arm to her middle, despite his relax state outside. For inside he was fighting off the sexual tension brought on by physically feeling the orange-haired beauty's warm closeness. Closeness forming heavy warmth in him excluding the natural warm heat that comes at being a rubber person. Furthermore by her being more closer then usual. The familiar sweet scent coming off her. Is stronger up close making him control himself from licking his lips at just the linger smell in the air.

"Nakama." Nevertheless Nami knows seduction was off the table and she unfortunately hovering attraction that's not mutual. By the negative emotions it brings. Nami wants to remind Luffy that she's nobody's nakama. This all between them is just a temporary partnership. "I already told you I'm nobody's nakama let alone a pirate. We have just a temporary agreement between us. I'm not officially one of your crew mates. So stop calling me that."

Luffy arch an eyebrow at her, breaking his blank expression as he settles into a lotus sitting position. "But that's who you are to me. My friend." At that moment and indifferent by his words as if he was unfazed by her refusal. Nami forgets about finding ways to get the Going Merry back in her control. No instead the orange-haired is infixed on discovering why Luffy keeps considering her a friend.

"And what makes you see me as a friend?"

"I trust you. So I see you as my friend." Nami faltered somewhat at the surprise respond.

"Tru-Trust me? You know nothing about me! Only a idiot will trust someone without knowing them." She wasn't liking this. How can Luffy be so naïve. Even both Zorro and Usopp are smart enough to know she can't be trusted.

"You like money and mikans. You hate pirates because they took the life of a person dear to you. You have a goal to earn 100 million berries, no matter what it takes. Is a great navigator. Thinks Usopp's jokes are funny. Thinks Zorro sleeps too much. Thinks I'm too much an idiot to be captain."

He remembers all that? I forgot I even said any of that to him! Completely shock of how someone so simple-minded could remember all that and yet she forgot she said most of that to him. Nami had nothing to say as Luffy keeps speaking.

"Those are the things I know about you. But what makes me trust you enough to call you my friend." Here Luffy holds his eyes with Nami's silent form as he places a hand upon the straw hat on his head. "You offer and fix my hat anytime it's torn, without asking for anything in return. A hat that's my most precious treasure. That alone earns my trust."

Although his explaining spoke volumes to her of how much Luffy been paying attention to her more than realized. Still Nami, once mentally shook her head to clear her puzzle thoughts. Won't claim that

enough to convince her of him claiming her a friend. In spite of the fact that Nami crossing her arms under her clothed breasts displayed them nicely. It wasn't her intention as she skeptically eyed the young man.

"None of that is enough to trust someone."

"It's enough for me." At his idiotic stubborn statement. Nami rapidly shakes her head. Thankfully with Luffy's arm still coiled around her middle. Prevents the orange-haired's jerky movements from her falling off the figure head. But beyond frustrated, Nami pays no mind to this as she shouts.

"Well it's not for me." A reaction that should of got a startled respond from Luffy, as Nami assumed since she nearly yelled in his face. Yet Luffy only blink at her but nothing else. In fact his usual blank expression was back in place. Making Nami growl. "I could never befriend someone I don't trust."

"You can trust me." The words left his mouth before Luffy realized what he's saying. Nonetheless they were true words.

Yet hearing this, makes a scoff come from Nami. "Say what you want. But I won't trust somebody I don't know." And Nami meant it. Despite she'll be leaving in the soon future. She can't hide the truth of her trust issues with others. She's been betrayed too many times in the past to drop her guard. Even if her hold on keeping him at a emotional distance is -unconsciously- decreasing. Suddenly for the second time tonight. Nami shakes her head, in irritation, before quickly glares at Luffy. "So unless I know who you are. I will never trust you, Luffy."

Then as if those been the words to say. Nami watches Luffy's blank expression form into mix of hurt and worry before fading until a determination look was left in place. His coal color eyes burning with strength looking back at her.

"What do you want to know about me? And don't worry, I'm bad at lying, so anything you ask will be the truth."

Normally she already have the one she's targeting in a beyond arouse state from her seduction before getting them to spill out anything that'll become a blackmail for her to use later if need be. But despite it wasn't her intention due to her overwhelming frustration with his trusting behavior that she had disregarded her purpose in seeking Luffy out tonight. Nami can't overlook that she's getting the opportunity, without having to seduce him. Learn about who Luffy is.

Not to mention she's more than aware that he's a terrible liar. Due to what happen when Usopp's emergency stash of jerky went missing. The curly black-haired had rounded everybody up to find the culprit. For it seem there were no evidence to prove who did it. Obviously her and Zorro could care less about the whole thing. Nonetheless Usopp had no need to asked Zorro or herself. For Luffy was standing there sweating bullets, 'innocently' whistling while avoiding eye sight with everyone. All he was missing was a sign saying 'I did it'.

At any rate, within thinking these thoughts and close to having her control on the ship once again, by asking the young man about things that can be used on him if he steps out of line. Nami's sight immediately lands on the straw hat that obviously means a lot to Luffy. Making that the perfect thing to ask about. Mostly because it's clear learning about why he cares so much for it. Will be a undoubtably weakness to hold against him later. However before Nami realized what she was doing. Her sight then lowers from the hat to the one wearing it. Bringing back the reason why she's been having so much trouble in completing her task tonight.

Now aware she's doing it, Nami takes in the raven-haired without shame she is. Noticeably she wasn't blind to his innocent boyish charm and looks; that she had long since learn she's attracted to that unmistakable charm of his. But besides the physical attraction toward him. It's the damn way he's like nobody she ever met rather pirate or not. But above all that. And despite she still wont admit feeling more than physical affection for him. Nami knows she is naturally happy when around him. Making her feel secured when near him, despite she shouldn't.

Instantly when the moment her attention shifts from the scar below his eye to up to those night pools of his. Nami decided what she wants to know.

"Everything."

"Everything?" Not pulling back to her choice. Nami nods yes.

"Yes, everything before we met. In fact if you claim to trust me. Then tell me who Luffy is. Don't leave nothing out. Starting with the first thing you remember in your life."

For a moment by Luffy looking pass her to stare at the night view sky, seemingly to be actually thinking. Nami thought he was going to refuse her request, indicating that he didn't trust her as much as he claimed. That was before he moved his sight from the sky to her, showing unwavering determination eyes to her own speechless ones.

"From a baby to when I was two I have no memory of. But my first memory started when I was three living inside a house on a hill in my home village, Fusha with my gramps. I have no dad.-"

The words escape her before Nami knew they are. "Of course you had a dad. Or you wouldn't be here."

Luffy simply blinks at this, then smiles big. "I know that Nami. I just mean I never saw or heard about him, so I have no dad."

"Oh." Although embarrassed at her assuming Luffy was too much of a idiot to know what a dad is. Nami can't help asking about his other birth parent. "Um what about your mom?"

"Gramps said she died giving birth to me. So I never met her." Luffy explains, still smiling, but bigger. "Anyway, at 3 and 4 Gramps put me through what he called survival training to be sure I could handle whatever the world throws at me when I grow up…."

As Luffy replayed what kind of training his gramps put him through to Nami. The orange-haired couldn't reframe her mouth from dropping at Luffy's so-call gramp's treatment toward his very own grandson. And if that wasn't enough. Learning that all the kids in Luffy's village called him a freak and monster and kept their distance from him because he survived his gramp's training. Training Nami sure not any full grown adult could live through. And yet discovering the kids in his village didn't actually like him shouldn't bothered Nami since she herself wasn't popular with the kids in her village. But unlike her who had Nojko throughout those times -even after Arlong arrived. Luffy had no one. In fact in between his gramp's training and healing after said training. Luffy was left alone within the one room house most the time. So it was hard not to feel sad at how isolated he was.

"Anyway, by the time I was 5 Gramps needed to go back to the sea for his work. Having a young woman name, Makino become my guardian while he's away." At the beginning of explaining his past to her. He's been smiling big. But Nami is noticing that the moment Luffy starts speaking about the Makino woman. His big smile slipped to be replace with a grin that wasn't too big or small but in between.

Making it known to Nami his recent big smile was a fake whereas his current grin is not. And the only reason Nami notice the difference is because she too displayed fake smiles to hide the hurt she would feel in the past. Meaning she's aware that while Luffy was wearing that fake smile. He was concealing the hurt that clearly was brought on by his former memories. Nevertheless of this discovery, Nami stays silent while continues listening to the raven-haired.

"Use to either defending myself to survive out in the wild or sleeping on a cot inside. It took me almost 3 days to stop thinking that the kindness and caring Makino gave me wasn't some trick made up by gramps. It was also the first time I tried cook meat. It was so yummy." For a split second Luffy wears a dreamy look while rubbing his tummy with his free hand. Just to suddenly snap himself out of it. Then, stop rubbing his tummy to scratch the back of his head giving a uneasy laugh. Luffy stares over at Nami, while fearing inward that he was going to be bashed in the head. "Shishi, sorry about that. When it comes to meat. I can't control myself."

With what she's learn so far about Luffy. Him becoming obsessed with meat. Makes somewhat sense of his behavior toward food. I mean despite she later during collecting money for her village and wasn't a skilled thief yet, had actually ate out of trash cans to not go hungry. She's thankful Bellemere raised her and Nojko. And she didn't have to run around in the wild at the age of 3 or 4 looking or fighting for anything to eat like Luffy. Thereby she had no evil towards him. After all she would be more surprise he didn't have any side affects from what he endured so young.

"You're forgiven. So continue." Seeing Nami wasn't mad or anything. Luffy resume sharing his past to her.

"Right. Anyway, besides cooked meals. I had my own bedroom where Makino would read or tell stories to me each night before bed. But its through the stories she told me about two people, Gold Roger and my mom. But its later I find out Gramps forbidden the adults in the village to speak to me about my mom. As a taboo. Yet only Makino told me her name. Lucy and she loved apples that she made everything with them and enjoyed anything doing with water. Makino said she could swim like a fish. But that's all Makino told me about her. But like her telling me about my mom in secret. She did the same thing with telling about Gold Roger, but that's because the mayor to my village was Gramp's lapdog that reported everything back to him on what was going on in the village, including how Makino was raising me. Still a couple years of being under her care. I started seeing Makino as a mom and wanted to protect her from any danger."

Unfortunately Nami learns that even though Makino spent all her free time with Luffy. During busy running her bar, and the other adults in the village were also busy. Left Luffy without anyone to play with. Since the kids still feared to be around him.

"But then a pirate ship arrived led by a pirate captain, name Shanks of the Red-Haired Pirates. Even though the mayor was against it. He allow them to stay because they were only going to be in the village for just a week. Well that was until Shanks found a reason to stay a bit longer, say two years."

"Two years? Wow, what had this Shanks guy staying that long. Did he discovered some treasure on the island or something." Before answering, Luffy laughs a bit.

"Shishishi, yeah something like that. You see Shanks and Makino begin seeing each other not long after the pirates arrived. Nobody not even his crew knew why their captain had halt from leaving the village. Well his first mate learn about it week later. But because I was living with Makino I was the first to find out when Makino had invited Shanks to have dinner with us…."

Still explaining. Luffy tells how he enjoy having Shanks over for dinner with him and Makino and how the big meal made him so sleepy that he went to bed early before even saying good night to Shanks. Only to suddenly awoke by the sound of Makino in pain. Pain that was coming from her room. Thereby wanting to protect his mother figure. Luffy rushed out of his room and toward Makino's. And without knocking on the closed door, he bursted into the bedroom interrupting what a naked Makino and Shanks were doing on the bed.

Slowly Nami's eyes widen. "You busted in on them."

"I did. And was lost when seeing Shanks laying on Makino's bed with her on top of him, but she was the one screaming."

"Oh, Kami. You caught them having sex." Oddly once she states this. Nami sees Luffy frown upward.

"After getting over their shock of me being there. Shanks took me back to my room. Where he told me what him and Makino was doing." Lowering his head from staring up at the still night sky. Luffy lock his eyes with Nami. Making the orange-haired unable to look away though her heart was racing and it felt like butterflies fluttering in her stomach. "He said they were making love. And he used that term because he loves her. And then he explained the big difference between love making and sex. Making love is two people who emotionally and physically involved with each other. Where with sex there's no emotional attachment involved just satisfying the body physically."

What Luffy isn't telling Nami -for obvious reason. Is Shanks taught him, who learn from his former captain. That when it comes to the body's physical urges. Broke from his thoughts before Nami starts speaking. Luffy fully heard her. "Uh yeah. Why do you look so surprise at that?"

Finally accept Luffy is asexual and despite she was upset about it. It made her believe that him being that way was the only reason her sexy beauty didn't affect him. But discovering he knows about it and clearly showed his distaste toward what he was taught to believe sex means. But he seem to respect the other term, love making. Leading to Luffy resumes relaying his past to her.

Thereby she was told by that after that night event. Shanks mostly lived with him and Makino, secretly from his crew and the village's knowledge, especially the Mayor. Basically while Shanks's older member crew stayed on the ship. While the newer ones had nightly sex partners throughout the village. Shanks slept in Makino's bedroom until it was soon known as theirs. At the same time while living with them. Shanks secretly started partaking in co-raising Luffy with Makino. Including telling stories to Luffy. Yet the stories were about the adventures Shanks already had. That's why it wasn't long until Luffy not only wanted to be a pirate but he wanted Shanks to take him when he leaves the village. Only for Shanks to refuse cause Luffy isn't tough enough to join his crew. So Luffy decided to fix that problem.

Nami tries very hard to stifle her giggles. "To think Usopp assumed you got that 'badass' scar through a fight."

"You can't tell the guys. If they find out I did this," Complains Luffy who points to the scar below his eye. "I won't hear the end of it." By now his lip is sticking out in a pout. "And it still not funny." Unfortunately the pouting young man wasn't getting his way. Because taken in his expression is the last Nami could take in holding in laughter.

"Oh Luffy this is rich…. I just can't… can't stop laughing." Nami exclaims between laughter. While Luffy continues pouting to himself. Still besides teasing and amusement for herself. Nami with by now composed at the regulation her attraction to Luffy isn't mutual. Will not, despite it can help her in the long run. Tell anyone let alone the other guys that the badass scar under Luffy's eye was self inflicted.

"Relax, idiot. I won't tell a soul. It be our little secret." Then Luffy smiles. Yet even though it's a big one. It wasn't fake. No, because this smile is too happy to not be genuine. Because he knew it. She wasn't lying. She won't tell.

"Thanks, Nami. You're the best." Within him saying this as she felt a slight squeeze from the arm still coiled around her. Nami grins before looks away from him, bashfully.

"No problem. Now finish."

Resulting in Luffy relay that after that and all Shanks's crew and himself stop laughing at Luffy. Nami was told about a bandit and his group, demanded service of alcohol only to find Makino ran out because Shanks and his crew drink it all. Except one bottle that Shanks kindly offer to the bandit. Just for said bandit to smash the bottle and soon belittle Shanks claiming him to be a weakling. Where Shanks did nothing but started to clean up what the bandit caused, where Makino soon was aiding him in the task.

Before Nami even realizes it, she's pissed. "What the hell? He just let that jerk walk all over him. Are you sure he's a pirate? No pirate I've ever seen would of allow someone to speak that way to them without getting their head blown right off." Or bitten off if that was Arlong. Thinking that last part, Nami didn't see the side smirk Luffy's wearing before he replace it with a calm grin.

"Just like you, Nami. I was mad at how Shanks handled everything. I almost thought all his adventures he told me about were lies. But even if I was mad. Shanks brushed it off, saying 'There was no reason to fight.' But I didn't at the time understand that strong meaning. So being upset to become frustrated that the man I've come to look up to couldn't even take down a bandit. I decided to take my frustration out on eating. But when I was looking around for Makino to get a hot meal. She was still busy helping Shanks clean up. This just adding to my anger, I fell back on my survival habits and started seeking out anything I could fill my empty tummy. Bring about me spotting a odd purple fruit with funny swirls in a small open chest on the counter near me. Not caring why it was there. I started eating it. It was nasty but because it was filling my tummy. I ate the entire thing even the branch it was on-"

"Wait a minute?" Cuts in a baffled Nami. "Are you saying that's when you got your devil fruit powers and not had them during surviving your gramps life-threatening training?"

Did not think this whole time Nami assumed he had his devil powers. Luffy stares, perplex. "Uh, yeah."

Simple answer is what she got. But Nami just can't comprehend all Luffy experience during those survival training he was put through and the things he did to make it out alive. Shouldn't be possible without devil fruit powers. And Nami told Luffy this. Only for the young man to snicker.

"Shishishi, Gramps said us Monkeys are born with inhuman strength. I guess that can explain it." However though Nami heard all that. Her attention was no longer on Luffy having disbelieving strong strength as a mere kid of 3 or 4. But instead at trying to understand why hearing the word monkey seem familiar but didn't have a clue why.

"Monkey?" Results in her speaking the word as if a question to Luffy. Who believes it to be.

"Yeah, Monkey. That's my family name. I'm Monkey D Luffy. Though I thought I already told you my name?"

Unfortunately it turns out while Luffy had remember mostly everything she said to him. Nami for the life of her, can't recall if he told his full name to her or not. Yet assuming that's why the name is familiar to her despite no regulation of said name until now. Nami plays off she remembers him telling her.

"You're right. I just forgot, sorry." Where Luffy brushes it off.

"Don't worry about it." And with that bit cleared up. Luffy goes on.

Telling about that once Shanks notice what he ate the man begun shaking him upside down while ordering Luffy to spit it out. Only for Luffy's neck to stretch until his head hit the floor while the rest of his body was still held up by Shanks. Showing it was too late. Luffy was now a rubber person. Unfortunately that meant he wouldn't be able to swim ever again.

"That was something I was proud of. Being a great swimmer. But because I became a devil fruit user. My swimming days were over. But with Makino taught me to always look for the good in a bad situation. I thought with my new powers I would show them to the kids in my village." In a split second Luffy was masking his real emotions with a big smile. "And finally win their friendship. But they became scared of me more enough that they called me. Devil Monster…."

There he goes again. Inwardly Nami frowns at seeing Luffy's fake smile return. Now I understand why Nojko hated when I masked my pain in front of her. I'm really getting sick of seeing that stupid smile. After that thought Nami on impulse lays her hand over the black-haired's one resting on his knee. Actions that makes Luffy go silent, for the impact of Nami's hand on his. Despite he's suppressed his urges this long.

Immediately by the heat brought on when his arm made contact with the skin of Nami's mid-section. At once Luffy wanted to draw back his arm from her, but obviously not risking her falling off the figure head. Luffy took the method Shanks taught him in distracting himself from desire urges. Such as his sexual arousal, uncontrollable eating and tendencies to act before thinking. Unfortunately a distraction for his eating habit became a lost cause. And his intentions to act before thinking is still a working process for him. Whereas not one time had a sexual arousal in the past until meeting Nami and see her use a Bo-staff. He's never needed any kind of distraction. But recalled the distractions Shanks came up with at the moment he felt a beginning arousal from Nami's sexy getup and than his arm coiling around her. He tried the first one.

The first method distraction was focusing on the scenery around him. That had work at first, but then retelling his past made his eyes seem to find her. Causing some uncomfortable in his shorts. So he quickly tried the second distraction. To get lost in his memories. Only to focus too much on masking the pain brought out by reminded his loneliness in his early childhood. Just for him to distract himself with Nami's presence so close. Leading him back to square one. So the last one it was. And for this one it been working. Method Luffy will only use as a last result. Because the distraction is him thinking about people he hates. Even so due to him always erasing the person from his memory once he kicks their ass. It's harder for him to focus on that distraction. Yet with him also paying attention to retelling his past to Nami while also keep focus on the people he hates. The multitasking he was doing in his head, made it easy to block out sexual urges.

That's until Nami out of the blue laid a hand over Luffy's free one, causing the early hovering heat created by his arm wrapped around her. Increased enough that he feels it rushing to his face making him tempted to just fall into the water below them to cool off, despite what sea water does to devil fruit users. Nevertheless of his dilemma, Luffy doesn't want to move his hand from under hers, just like he refuses to release his arm coiled around her mid-section.

"Uh, N-Nami." Too overwhelmed by the burning heat flowing through his body, making his early uncomfortableness within his shorts that much worse, especially cause Nami was now rubbing her thumb against the back of his hand. Luffy doesn't catch he stumbling on his words. But Nami did.

Unsure of the reason why she laid her hand on his and currently tenderly rubbing a thumb on it. But heard the unexpected uneasy in Luffy's voice. Nami raises sight from where her hand is to then to his face. And couldn't believe what she saw. If it wasn't for the moon's light bathed on them. She wouldn't see it. But there was Luffy red as can be while not daring to look her way.

"Your han-hand is on m-m-mine, an-and its rubb-rubbing it." Just hearing that and him continue stumbling on his words. Nami smirks to herself.

Basically it seem she was wrong. Luffy isn't asexual or unaffected by her beauty. No he's just really damn good at suppressing it this whole time. Yet she guess her taking his hand was too much to hold back anymore. And she is very pleased at this detail if not happy.

"Is that," In spite of the fact that she can use this news to her advantage as it was her intention from the beginning. But even so, Nami no longer has it in her to use him like that. Still while continues stroking his hand. She wants to tease him a bit more. "A problem?" Eying him, Nami bats her eyelashes coyly. "If it is," To tease him more, Nami place her free hand against his other knee. "just say so."

Luffy swallowed on nothing, though he absentmindedly lick his lips at the same time he shift his eyes from her luring ones. Though its clear Nami caught on that he's been pretending that her flirting didn't affect him. Luffy decided to pretend he has no clue what's going on, despite his clearly flushed face, and avoiding eye-contact.

"It's fine." Although Luffy still evading looking at her. Nami's not upset, in fact she's glad of this. After all he can't hide from her no more. Still she wants to know something.

"Luffy, are you more stronger then before you got your devil fruit powers. Be honest." Keeping his sight remaining off Nami. Luffy tilts his head to the side at the odd question, but answers nonetheless.

"Yeah I am. Why?" Still he keeps his eyes on anything but her. Unfortunately instead of answered his own question. Nami gives another.

"So you can break me into two like a twig. Again be honest." Luffy's eyes widen, slowly letting his mouth drop. Nevertheless he eventually answers.

"Yeah I can. But-"

"But you won't, right." Not sure she knew she said what he was going to. Still he replied.

"Right."

"Why? Is it cause you consider me a nakama?" The question was easy that was obvious. But Luffy had a problem.

Trying to keep himself from showing he's lying. Luffy speaks. "Yes, that's why." Easy to see, though his face was slightly turned from hers. Nami caught Luffy look like he was sweating bullets.

"Is it now, Luffy? The honest truth." Luffy bit down on his lip, shutting his eyes a second.

"The truth is," Pushing down any desire for the orange-haired, Luffy turns his face back to Nami. As he speaks the truth, he holds his eyes on hers. "You're a nakama to me but you're also special too."

At those words, Nami felt her heart begin to race again tonight while a deep red warmth rushed to fill her cheeks. Fortunately by now the moon was no longer bathing them in its light. So Luffy didn't clearly see the obvious impact his words made on her.

That's why when Nami silently but not in a hurry drew back both her hands, Luffy didn't know rather to be relief or disappointed. Not picking either and just disregarded the whole thing. And actually jumped for joy inwardly when Nami asked him to return to telling about his past.

Resulting in him going back to where the village kids feared him more than ever. Fortunately for him -and Nami. The story reached where Shanks cheered him up after the other kids made him sad. Afterwards him and Shanks went to Makino's place since it was close to dinner. However even if Luffy didn't want Makino to know about his last encounter with the other kids. Shanks convinced him to tell her, leading to Makino giving him advice.

"Don't waste your time on others who judge you by appearances alone. But instead on the ones that take the time to know you. That Makino is a wise woman." Nami says repeating what Luffy just said Makino told him. "Those nasty kids didn't deserve your attention or friendship."

Even though she repeated Makino's saying in a shorter version. Luffy agreed to both Nami's statements. Still, despite he's happy to heard the compassion in Nami's voice. The raven-haired just grins while carries on.

Going on to tell about after that advice from Makino and a yummy dinner with her and Shanks. By the next morning Luffy no longer cared what the other kids thought of him. Even after learning later that once the kids discovered devil fruit users are weak to 'water' they started spending their play times at the village lake. A lake that before becoming a rubber person. Luffy would occupied constantly and even learn to swim there. As such the other kids avoided the lake while he could swim.

But again by then Luffy didn't care. Furthermore he wasn't mad at Shanks anymore. That's why Luffy was back to pressing the pirate captain to take him along. But despite all his begging, two weeks later. Shanks announced to Luffy within Makino's house, that him and his crew was leaving the island in two days. Causing Luffy to become mad at Shanks once again despite he didn't stop their night routine of Shanks telling more stories of his adventures before bed those last two nights.

Nonetheless early the next morning after sharing breakfast with them. Shanks left the house, saying that him and his crew will come by the bar to give they're farewell after doing some last supply restocking for the ship. But unfortunately for Luffy because Shanks had them getting up before sunrise. Luffy spent the morning helping Makino set up her bar for the day, something he use to do before the Red-Haired pirates came to the village.

Leading somewhat mid lunch time Luffy found himself trying to hide he'll miss all the Red-Haired pirates, especially Shanks and his oldest crew. Thereby he pretend to still be mad at Shanks when Makino asked if he's going to miss him. However and even though he didn't need to ask. Luffy knew Makino was going to miss Shanks terribly. After all she's his woman treasure.

"Woman treasure?" Nami spoke up. "What the hell is that?" Though Luffy can't see Nami's expression due to it's too dark to see her clearly because a cloud was hiding the moon. From the tone in her voice he knows Nami's taking that title in a negative way.

"Stop Nami. Makino being Shanks's woman treasure is not a bad thing. It means above all else she matters the most to him. And him titling her as treasure. Shanks is a real pirate. Real pirates care for anything they call their treasure. But as his woman treasure. He's bind to her and she to him. They don't share themselves with anyone but each other. And once Shanks done being a pirate. He will permanently live on the island with Makino. But until then they have what Shanks told me are keepsakes between them. A gold red gem ring with tiny white and green gems around the big red one. That Makino wears around her neck on a gold chain. But she always wore under her clothing so nobody could see it. The other keepsake they both wear. A tattoo. But Shanks told me the only people who would be able to see their tattoo is each other and maybe a doctor. I tried to ask what the tattoos look like. But he never told me." Luffy tried to explain.

"A tattoo and a ring? Was the ring some kind of engagement ring."

"Yep. And the tattoos stood for them belonging to each other til the end of time. I mean I think that's what Shanks and Makino said." Of course they told him that. But Luffy doesn't want Nami catch on that he knows full well what being a treasure person to a pirate means.

"I don't get it? You say Shanks claimed to love Makino. But if he really loved her, why didn't he give up pirating for her?" Immediately Luffy frowns but doesn't dare look away from Nami after that question.

"Nami you can be really dumb." From that blunt comment and by Luffy of all people. Nami went to launch at him, if not reach for his throat. But unsurprisingly with Luffy's arm still around her. The raven-haired held her back as he went on explaining why he called her that.

"Nami I know you're mad-"

"You bet I'm mad. You of all people shouldn't be calling me dumb. You're the idiot on this ship not me." Unfazed by the insult like usual. Luffy carries on as if Nami said nothing.

"That I called you a idiot. But believe it or not. Shanks almost did give up being a pirate for Makino. But she loved him enough to see how being a pirate is a big part of who Shanks is. The man she fell in love with. So she refuse his offer and instead wait for his return. See that's why I called you that. Because Makino called me that too when I thought the same thing as you. But I got a slap on my ass for doubting Shanks devotion to Makino. Makino is scary when hurt or mad. Kind of like you, Nami. Uh, Nami? If I loosen my hold, you won't hit me will you?"

Even if understood that she had jump to conclusions about Shanks and Makino's relationship. That she thought the pirate was just toying with the woman's feelings. Mainly cause herself had something like that happen to her in the past. Nami quickly vanished that unwanted memory from her mind. And then, once accepting Luffy had some right to call her a idiot to her quick assuming without knowing all the detail. Thereby with a sigh, Nami nodded yes to Luffy. Only to realize that he couldn't see her much in the dark. So she spoke instead.

"Since you explain your reason for the insult, I'll let it slide, for now. But." Pausing here Nami pinches a small spot on Luffy's coiled arm around her. Making the raven-haired hiss a little though he didn't withdrawal his arm from her form. "Call me anything like that again. And maybe l'll use your very own arm to choke your neck, are we clear."

"Yep." With everything back to somewhat normal between them. Luffy goes back to where he left off in his past.

Bringing up soon the bandit and his group came back to the bar, demanding Makino to serve them. However… "Couldn't take the bastard bad mouthing Shanks and his crew anymore. I did something about it."

And what Luffy did made a situation he was unable to get himself out of, leading with him nearly getting sliced up by the head bandit despite the Mayor and Makino's plead to let him go. But then Shanks and the Red-haired pirates showed up. Coming about Nami not just learning that the same words Shanks asked the guy bandit that pointed a gun at his head was the same words she heard Luffy repeat to Usopp back on the long-nose's home island. But she couldn't deny she was -for a second- was mesmerize at listening to Luffy speak Shanks's speech he told the head bandit when question why him and his crew were attacking them.

"Whether I'm splattered with alcohol or food or even spit on, most the time I'd just laugh and forget about it. But. No matter what the reason, anyone who hurts my friends has to pay!" Still again when she realized what she was doing. Nami snapped herself out of it in time to hear what happened next.

Regardless her trying to keep compose at the moment Luffy tells of him getting kidnapped and then thrown into the sea by the head bandit who soon is eaten by a sea-king. But hearing the slightly broken tone of Luffy's as he retells of how scared and angry he was when he was unable to do anything but keep his head above water while the sea-king swim toward him. Thereby Nami was mostly hanging on the young man's every word as a burning sensation formed in her eyes and a heavy worry filled her heart. The same feeling but smaller, she felt back when she was being pressured into shooting a cannon at him.

However by this unwelcoming feeling that's indicating her deeper longing to see the young man out of real danger despite her violent treatment toward him when he's being a idiot. Nami once more forces herself to be compose. Just to suddenly hide a gasp behind a hand at Luffy telling that not just Shanks saved him from the sea-king but the pirate captain sacrifice his arm in the process.

Forming in, at the moment Luffy's filling in about what occurred while Shanks was getting patched up and both him and Luffy were being 'babied' by a motherly and loving Makino for a week before the Red-Haired pirates left finally.

Nami's having troubling in believing there's actually somewhat decent pirates out there due to her never encountering any before meeting Luffy. Then that's when it dawns to her about recalling meeting a marine that seem more like a pirate then his navy title stated. Fortunately reminded of that unwanted part of her past that made her not trust any male marines after that. The orange-haired has come to somewhat terms that there could be pirates like Shanks out there. Only to try to ignore the twinge of envy she gets in Luffy met a pirate like Shanks instead of her. But she can't.

That's why by the time Luffy finished where him declaring he would surpass Shanks and his crew, by getting the strongest crew in the world, finding One Piece and becoming the pirate king. With Shanks giving him his straw-hat and promised him to give it back only once he becomes a great pirate. Nami is speaking to herself but unknowingly to her. She's talking outward at the same time suppressing the water behind her eyes.

"Why couldn't it been a pirate like that Shanks came to the Conomi Islands instead of Arlong." But unavoidable tears still slowly slips down Nami's face by her thoughts. "Then maybe everybody would be free and…" With a shaky breath and already aware of her tears falling but not she's speaking out loud, Nami hugs her shoulders, shutting her eyes while flash memories of her foster mother surface. "Bellemere would still be alive." Yet since she's lost in memory, she misses the shock and angry expression that appeared on Luffy's face, whom been silently listening to her -unintentionally- speaking out her thoughts, and storing away each detail.

Conomi Islands. Hmm, this Arlong must be the one that killed the person Nami cared about. And that person must be that Bellemere. I know I don't want to keep this from her. But I want to help her as much as I can. Seeing her this broken up is painful. I guess this is how Makino felt when saw the shape Shanks been in and him lost his arm. Well it's sure what I need to do once I get a chance. But first.

Regardless the continuing stretch arm coiled around her and it's unexplained comfort to her. Nami's unable to stop the flowing tears escaping her until she's clear her whimpering was loud enough for Luffy to hear her. Nonetheless of this and she's now shaken up Nami places her face in her hands to at least hide she's crying from the young man. Yet its because she's too focus on concealing her pain and sadness from the onlooker. She's startled enough to halt her tears by something suddenly placed upon her head. Still unsure what just happen, Nami wordlessly reaches a hand up to touch the object on her head to immediately feel familiar straw texture. Right away she knows what she's wearing, but at that same time she hears Luffy's voice in her head.

Don't touch my treasure.

Unconsciously gripping her hand on the hat still upon her head while freely new tears leave her eyes and her heart begins to swell as she turns sight to the silent young man. Fortunately by the time she does this the recent cloud that been concealing the moon in the sky was gone making moonlight to bathed once again upon the ship's figure head. Giving Nami a good view of Luffy sitting across from her with a unreadable expression. Yet it's seeing him without his precious hat that confirms he actually put the hat on her. At first by his gesture in sharing something so dear to him to her. Heat rushes to her cheeks and heart quivers in longing while her mind prepares to go to war with her heart again over this person who seems to be the only one to bring flutter of butterflies to her stomach, swelling to her heart and makes a stormy rage in her head all at once. Unfortunately with her mind winning like always since meeting him. Nami masked, though accepts now it's nothing but a crush, her feelings toward him in denial. Leaving her with narrowing her eyes at him, in disbelief.

"Why are you like this?" Although he keeps his unreadable expression painted on his face. Luffy tilts his head to the side while his brows furrow looking back at her frowning face.

"Like what?" Nami can't give a straight answer to herself of why did his question annoy her so much. Still her hard stare increased.

"Like, like..." By now with her unable to give a good respond without seeming like a crazy person. Makes the orange-haired grow more frustrated with everything, especially Luffy. "No true pirate would give up their most precious treasure. Mostly to a thief like me. So why place it on me? Answer me!" Despite the agitated state Nami is right now. Luffy simply shrugs.

"Easy. I trust you wouldn't harm my hat. Mostly knowing how dear it is to me, just like you did for old man bush. You didn't take his treasure because it was special to him. You're a caring person even though you try to hide it. But I don't care why you feel you need to hide that part of you. And I hate seeing you cry. And if I can stop it I will-"

"Shut up you idiot!" Not taking anymore of Luffy and him reading her like a book despite how she's try to conceal her true self from others this long or his compassion toward her. "I don't care what you told me or how its obvious that Shanks guy is just as much an idiot as you to the real world-"

Sudden tightness around her mid-section from Luffy's arm halts Nami from going any further. After all even she knows from what she's learned about him by Luffy. Shanks is no idiot. But it's clear with the intense in Luffy's eyes, looking like he does when his hat has been damaged by someone. The young man was pissed by her words.

Still besides the slight tightness around her and his continue strong stare, causing a cold chill to run down her spine. Nami wasn't about to get the same result as someone who's cross Luffy. Instead, once seeing him sigh heavy, shaking his head. Nami watches the young man loosen his grip to return to just holding her from falling off the head figure. Actions making Nami rethinking her behavior especially since it's clear if Luffy was like any the pirates she encounter in the past. She already be sent through the sky by his powers.

Realizing how easy Luffy could overpower her if he want or just do as Zorro been demanding he do. Steal the map and toss her off the boat. Nami starts apologizing.

"I'm sorry, Luffy. I didn't mean calling Shanks an idiot." Instantly Luffy starts snickering.

"Shishishi, don't worry about it. You have your reasons. And I felt the same way about bandits. But then later after Shanks left I met some mountain bandits that made me rethink in hating all them. Because I learned not all them are the same. So I wont hate them just because what they are. And I hope you don't still hate me for being a pirate. But rather you are mad at me. I decided to kick the ass of the pirate that hurt you-"

Naturally Nami should be happy at Luffy's declare to kick Arlong's ass. But seeing that outcome being with Luffy losing his life. She has finally accepted she didn't want to lose the idiot that she's crushing on despite her many protesting. In fact, though she might be out of her mind, Nami's chosen to tell her true intention tonight to Luffy and then go from there.

It's the least I can do. Then again telling this to him, might actually make Luffy's trust in me to end. But I can tell without denying it. Losing trust from someone like him hurts just thinking about it. Still it's best to just do it.

And so Nami reveals everything from finding the list within Buggy's treasure room to now, including her coming out to seduce him. Though despite all she said. Nami couldn't or wouldn't tell about her and her village's issues involving Arlong and his crew. Mainly now knowing she didn't want Arlong killing someone because of her. That's why though she trusts Luffy now. She won't lead him to his death.

Anyway by what she just told the young man. Nami, though she didn't want it to happen, expected Luffy to start treating her like the other two do on the ship, someone not to trust. But him begin laughing at her as if she said a joke. Was unexpected.

"Luffy what I told wasn't a joke. I meant everything I said." Still the young man keeps laughing.

"Shishishi, oh I know you're not joking. I'm laughing because I already knew your plans to seek me out tonight. I was just hoping to convince you before you went that far. You don't need to use those tricks. All you needed to do was ask me to allow you to go to those islands. I'm sure Zorro wouldn't mind helping me in distracting any pirates on the islands so you can steal they're treasure to add to your goal. But I'm not sure Usopp would be ok with the stops."

In the time she's known Luffy and his unpredictable behavior from most pirates. Not to mention all she learn tonight about him, enough she's realizing he's not as much a idiot as he plays off for others. So she shouldn't be surprise how he took what she told him or he was aware of what she planned to do tonight. And yet. She's so overtaken by his acceptance to all she's asking of him.

But of course she finally interact with him during the whole Buggy incident.

Disregarding the teasing. Luffy got right to why he wanted to speak with Zorro. "Tell me your opinion what you think about us handling any pirates on the islands that hold treasures Nami wants for her collection."

"I've been itching for a fight and using my swords besides cleaning them. So I'm fine with distracting any on the islands. But I can't say the same for Usopp."

Before speaking, Luffy places a hand under his chin, thinking. "I guess he can stay on the ship in guard duty."

"He'll probably fake a disease to be on the ship anyway." Zorro bluntly points out.

"I won't argue with that truth. Anyway going back to you saying you heard mostly everything that wasn't whispered. So you heard Nami mention someone called Arlong." By Zorro nodding he did. Luffy goes on. "Have you heard anything about him?"

"No not really. But if you want we can question the pirates on those islands. Mostly when I just defeated a pirate. They would shoot off information about any wanted pirates I have my eye on. It happened a lot, so think it's someone pirates do."

"You're right it is. I forgot Shank told me that's how pirates to pirates learns about each other. Well that's if the pirate your looking for doesn't have a bounty already on them. An a true pirate that is defeated will give the information you seek if they know anything. Shanks said it part of the pirate honor."

"Huh? My hat." Keeping from rolling his eyes. Luffy raises his hand to his head. "Don't be dumb, Zorro. It's on m-" But as his hand touches his hair instead of his treasured hat. He loses his words as it dawns on him where his hat was or with. "Shishishi I guess never got my hat back from Nami."

Zorro shakes his head in disbelief. Disbelief that his captain has moments of showing his smarts like recently when they were discussing about the unknown Arlong and fighting pirates on the islands from the list. But then moments like now when Luffy just realized his hat has been with Nami since he place it on her. And who's he kidding about nothing going to happen once he gets to the women's room.

"Times like these, I wonder if you forget you're not as dimwitted as you make others believe. But because it's not really my business of yours and Nami's doing. If you want to keep playing off that you have no clue what's waiting for you once you leave here. That's fine. But if you want Usopp to stay in the dark about you two. You have to be honest with me."

Realizing the swordsman is right. Luffy ended his laughing as the blank expression left his face. "Nami seems to be a early waker. Because she's up before any of us. So hopefully once she awakes I'll be out of her room before Usopp wakes up. But if not. Yes I want you to distract him and if you have to. Come wake me up."

"I can do both things. If it comes to it." Luffy nods then steps closer to the storage door, reaching for its nob.

"Thanks, Zorro. And night." And with opening the door Luffy entered the storage room but before the door closed behind him. Luffy heard.

"Night. Just don't do what I would."
