Disclaimer: I do not own DB/DBZ/GT in any way, shape, form, or way. Nor the characters in the show. I don't especially own Gohan. Gohan is the soul property of his creator and owner. No money will be made off of him either.
Author's Note: This story is kind of a story written to get into Gohan's feelings about the Cell Games. Well, more what happened during, ect. And how he took his dad's death. This story also takes place a week or so after the Cell Games.
Through the eyes of a Child
A tale of the way an 11-year-old boy who saw it
By the house Gohan sat by the stream thinking. For the past week he would either sit by the stream, play with Igorious, or just train in between his studies.
He would do these things to get away from the way he felt. He was sad. He felt alone in the sense that his father was gone now.
Sighing heavily, Gohan sifted to a more comfortable position and lay down. Looking up at the sky he watched as a flock of birds passed silently overhead. 'Daddy, why did you have to leave me now? I know what you did was the right thing, but I miss you daddy' Gohan thought while holding back tears that wanted to fall freely. Gohan thought back to the Cell Games and what his father did to save him and his friends. When his father appears in front of him just before he teleported to King Kai's place, he had a cool and calm smile. Gohan didn't know why he wasn't afraid.
Gohan looked at his dad with shock just before his father teleported away. From then on he knew that his father was gone. Gohan at the time couldn't do anything because of shock. That is when he though the terror was over, but much to his shock Cell had come back. When Cell came back, he took action first thing by taking Trunks down. Gohan was horrorifyed when Cell's energy blast struck trunks full force and head on.
Gohan's anger grew when he saw Trunks fall down dead. Gohan's fire eknighted more, but he knew that if he didn't focus, the entire world would be doomed for
Sure. So, with a heavy heart of both accounts now he faced Cell and won with an overpowering Kamahahma blast thanks to Vageta using a powerful blast to throw Cell off.
Now a week later, Gohan felt the after-effects of the Cell Games. Sure he was glad it was all over, but that fight killed apart of him. A piece of his vary soul was missing and he knew it. Gohan whipped away a tear. 'Oh how I miss you dad' he thought with anguish that bore him to the core. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. With a
Shaky sigh, he started to cry. He cried because of the dreadful hurt that was eating him alive. In the position he was in, he curled up into a tight ball and cried even harder. His tears streamed down his face like rivers as his heart released the pain.
A few hours later as the sun set and bright colors fill the sky, Gohan had stopped crying. But his heart still hurt. Sniffling, he got up, dusted himself off and looked towards the setting sun. With another painful tear, he let one last thought drift into the breeze. "Daddy, if you can hear me I want you to know I will always love you. And I miss you. Mom misses you too, but she doesn't want to admit it cause' it's too painful, but I know she hurts cause I hear her cry at night. I know you probably miss us too, so I want you to know daddy I will take care of mom. And watch over Krillian and Piccolo. We all miss you…including me. I hope to see you soon daddy." Gohan yet again fought about tears, but something stopped him. As Gohan looked towards the horizon, he was suddenly filled with Peace. Looking up he smiled, because somehow he knew that the pain he was feeling was not going to last because he knew that his father was right there with him and watching over him and that made all the
difference in the world.
The End
