Max on a couch in her apartment. The rain was pouring outside in sheets. Max stared down at
what she was doing, a drawing. The picture was of a young girl, maybe ten or eleven. She was
sitting on her bed, her long hair cascading around her face like a river of fire, the same shade of
red as her hair.

Kendra walked in, and looked at what Max was drawing. The girl looked very angry, like there
was a fire in her eyes, a passion that blazed behind the large violet eyes of hers.
"Who's that?" asked Kendra. Max jumped a bit, and hugged the picture to her chest.
"No one," she said, "Just a drawing."
"Max, I know you're upset about something, but you can't stay bottle up forever."
"I'm not hiding anything."
"Max…"
"If you must know, it's what I think my sister would look like."
"Sister?"
"I come from a big family."
"Who?"
"X5 631."
"What the hell?."
"Let's leave it at that."
"Max?"
"She died, years ago."
"Max…I'm sorry."
"Well you have no reason to be, you didn't do anything!" said Max, and she stormed off.

Max remembered the nigth at Manticore when she and her sister really connected. Trigs
was a little different than everyone. She was a true soldier sometimes, but sometimes she was
just the one who thought too much. Trigs hated to fight, but she did it anyways. She was what
Lyedecker wanted. She was perfect. She never had the same charisma as Zack, and she was
young, otherwise, Max and Jondy had decided, she would have been made the Commanding
officer.
Max always wondered if she survived. Max would have gone back for her in an instant if
she thought that she was still alive. Trigs was special to Max. She's wasn't Max's best friend,
like Jondy, and she would never be Zack, who was their protector. She wasn't the story-teller,
like Ben, but she was still in her heart always.
A week before the escape, Jondy had been shot. She wasn't hurt, but she had to stay in
the infirmary all night. Max was in shock. She had shot Jondy. She sat awake that night, sat
alone in her bed. She wanted to cry, but that would wake up Zack, and Zack was already mad at
Max for shooting Jondy.
Max looked up when she heard the patter of bare feet on the floor. On the other side of
the room, X5-631 was opening the window and pointing up, up to the high place. Max was a
little hesitant. Trigs rarely spoke at all. When she did, she was always a little odd. Max wasn't
sure she wanted to go to the high place with Trigs, but she knew she should. She could talk to
Trigs, and maybe understand a little better her weird sister.

Authors note: TBC. More will be written. Keep reviewing! This story is gonna focus on how
Max learned about Life from her sister, who was trained specially by someone. Read my story
'Alone' to know more about it.
