My first het fic! Also my first fic where Wufei was featured in more than 5 lines. -_-;; Takes place after the last episode. Wufei is pissed off and someone comes to comfort him.

The year was After Colony 195, Christmas Eve. The war was over. The gundam boys were back on the Peacemillion having a small party of sorts. It wasn't really anything to celebrate, seeming as about 1 million soldiers died. But so what right? "Lets drink and be merry for tomorrow we die."
Wufei sat in a dim secluded corner of the ship, away from all the others. They were all having a drink and talking of peace. Well, except for Duo, who was bouncing off the walls as usual.
// I'm sorry, Merian //
Everyone thought that he had accomplished his mission. Wufei didn't. His was to kill the man named Trieze. To the untrained eye, it appeared he had succeeded. No. That was wrong. Treize threw himself onto his light saber. He committed suicide. That's why he cried. Yes. Wufei admitted to himself, he let himself show weakness. He was a coward, a fucking coward.
Wufei looked at the picture of Merian that he always had with him. She was standing in a field of flowers. Merian liked flowers. She never told anyone that, except for Wufei. It was an arranged marriage but he and Merian had soon grown to be good friends. But then she died.
Trieze Kushrenada sent the order to attack the L5 colony where he and Merian lived. He remembered seeing her there, lying on the ground covered in her own blood. Wufei felt his eyes water. She told him to be strong, that perhaps she was not the reincarnation of Nataku, but he, HE, was. Wufei wiped his eyes before the tears showed. He lost his best friend that day. All because of that stupid bastard Treize.
"Pardon me, but who is that?"
Wufei looked up to see Relena. She was pointing to Merian's picture.
// What does that onna want? //
"My wife."
Relena nodded. "She's pretty." She said sipping some soda.
Wufei nodded too. "She died a few years ago," Wufei expressed a little more hurt than he meant to. "Trieze killed her."
Relena looked concerned. "Oh I'm so sorry Wufei." She sat next to him. They were silent for a while.
"I'm a coward." Wufei said.
Relena grabbed Wufei's face and forced him to look at hers.
"Wufei you are not a coward. You are one of the bravest people I know. So don't give me that shit okay?" She pulled him close and kissed him firmly. No tongue, very fast.
Wufei's eyes nearly doubled in size. When they broke apart he had to take a moment to find his voice.
"Relena...I thought you liked... Heero...what was...?"
Relena blushed. " I truly admire Heero. I don't love him. But I've always been rather fond of...of you...and-"
Wufei cut her off with another kiss. Their soft lips pressed against each other. Wufei couldn't explain it, it was...just right. He licked slowly at her lips; they were so soft and warm. She allowed him entrance, and when there tongues touched it was electric. They stared at each other for a moment after they broke apart. Relena smiled.
"Lets go join the party shall we?"
Wufei smiled, pocketing the picture of the best friend he lost to war. "Yes, lets."
