One night, Misao was spying on her Aoshi-sama. He was in a good mood, because he had just finished all of his paperwork for a while, so he started humming.
"Aoshi-sama?!" It was all Misao could do to keep her shout to a whisper, but Aoshi had heard her anyway. Just as she was about to barge in on him, he started to sing.
"Misao, Misao, Misao! Sweetest name I know. For you I'm ever longing, I love you, Misao, don't you know." This time Misao raced in, and hugged her beloved, and sang her version in response.
"Aoshi, Aoshi, Aoshi! Sweetest man I know! Fills my heart with longing, I love you too, don't ever go!" As she finished, Misao stood on her tiptoes and kissed Aoshi. He blinked in surprise, but then he held Misao by the waist and kissed her passionately. When they finally pulled apart, Misao said, "Ai shiteru, Aoshi-sama."
Aoshi whispered back, "Ai shiteru, Misao-mine."
