History Will Not Repeat Itself
Chapter One: Fujitaka
Amamiya Nadesiko sat in the tree, quietly
reading a book. Actually, she was just watching the sunset from the park tree
like she did every morning while Sonomi ran her one mile around the
neighborhood. She was practicing to make track captain.
The wind blew softly rustling one of the poofy
layers on the skirt of her cotton white dress. Then a sudden harsh wind blew
sharply, blowing off her straw hat. She watched in alarm as a small baby bird
fell out of its nest. Reaching out to catch it, she tripped over one of the
many layers of her dress, and fell. She braced herself for a hard fall, and met
with a rather soft thud.
She cautiously peeked open one eye and came
face to face with a pair of suprised brown eyes. After several seconds, she
realized she had fallen on a person.
"Are you an angel?" Questioned
the being that lay under her.
At this she blushed as her lips curved up
into a vivid smile. She stared into his light brown eyes once more before
replying, "No, I'm Nadesiko, Amamiya Nadesiko."
"I'm Fujitaka, Kinomoto
Fujitaka." He said, getting up off the grass and pulling on his glasses
that had fallen off when she landed on him. He walked around picking up his
scattered books.
Nadesiko helped him pick up the rest of
his books, "I'm very sorry, but I saw--" Nadesiko trailed off as she
realized why she had fallen. "THE BIRD!" She glanced around for any
trace of the small bird around the grassy area. Finding nothing out of
particular, she heard a faint singing up near the branches of the trees. She
looked up and saw the baby bird flying, rather shakily, with its parents.
Nadesiko heard her name being called and
turned around to see a figure, a little bit away, one she recognized as Sonomi.
She waved her arm at her best friend, "SONOMI-CHAN!"
She turned back to face Fujitaka,
"I'm sorry again, but I'm going to have to cut our little meeting
short." She gave him an apologetic smile, "Thank you for breaking my
fall. Maybe I'll see you again?" Nadesiko replied with a shy smile.
Fujitaka stood glued at the spot, Who
would have thought that I would¡¯ve met a beautiful angel today? A sudden
gust of wind blew a straw hat right into his face. Fujitaka picked it up,
glancing over the hat. It had a large pink flower on it, A Nadesiko flower, he
realized. He looked inside to find in neatly stitched pink thread, ¡®This hat
belongs to Amamiya Nadesiko¡¯
"Wait,¡± he called out. ¡°you forgot
your hat,¡± he trailed off looking where she had once been.

That was the shortest chapter I¡¯ve ever
written. ^_^;; I promise the next chapter will be longer. I kept this chapter
short and sweet. ^_^ Anyhow, REVIEW! Please. ^-^ I¡¯ll even spell it out for
you, R-E-V-I-E-W. Question: I¡¯m a little confused on this, do you spell her
name, Nadesiko or Nadeshiko??? Liked it? Hated it? Either way, I¡¯m probably
going to continue. ^_^;; ~Laria
