A Happy Ending
Hermione come on, it's time to go" I could here Remus talking to me. I couldn't stop thinking about the graves.
In the cemetery there is no discrimination. Good and evil, Muggles and Wizards, are buried along side one another. 200,008 of them, all dead, killed by one man's hate.
Poor Neville, when Voldemort came back, Neville's grandmother was one of the first he sought out and killed. Neville was there and he was so angry, he attacked Voldemort . Voldemort killed him easily.
At the beginning we had a memorial service for each person who died the numbers got too high and we stopped. We had a large one at the end for all of those who died for us, with us, against us.
I often wonder why I didn't die. Then I remember, my best friend died to save me. Voldemort's curse killed Harry but it weakened Voldemort Then Severus Snape hit Voldemort with a very powerful curse. The curse killed Voldemort, but the effort involved killed Severus as well.
I often feel guilty about living through the war. Remus calls it survivors guilt. I know that Harry, Ron and everyone else would want us to go on with our lives. I spend a lot of time with the Weasleys. Fred and Angelina are getting married next month. It will be a nice wedding.
I am going to go on with my life. I plan to get married, have children and grow old. I know that I will never forget the people who died in the war. I will never forget the people who died to save me. I will never forget the people I loved. And as long as I live, I will never forget Harry Potter, the first man I ever loved. He was The Boy Who Lived, and the man who died for me.
