A Commode; For which to empty your bladder in
The room itself consisted of two beds, a cooler, a closet,
a window, and a wood stove for heat and cooking. The floors were made of dark
stone and were often cold. The window, very small, did not let in much light.
Yet, still, it was pretty nice… considering.
However,
the suite was a different matter. The suite was enormous, about the size of
three regular rooms. The two bathrooms consisted of two beautiful quartz sinks,
majestic commodes, steam baths (yes, baths heated by natural springs) and an
area to sun. The room itself consisted of three beautiful beds, with covers
made of fine silk and posts made of pure gold. The mattresses were laced and
delicate. The beds were huge and fit (literally) for a king. A fine, majestic
fireplace sat in the center of a recreation. A sword fighting area, a small
steam-heated pool, and a terrarium were all located in this space. A quantity
of large, Victorian loft windows spread across the room, with a view that shown
all the towns for the nearest 7 ½ miles.
*****
The time was about 9:30. So far, Glehann had accepted
the room gratefully. He was far too humble to live like this, but, hey, never
turn down something that offers you a tad bit protection. When the trio arrived
in the room, Glehann told the other two to search for anything that could aid
them in hiding. The two argued this and said that there was no place to hide,
and that some shut-eye would cure all of this and they would begin once again
tomorrow. Glehann agreed to this eventually and prepared for bed. The innkeeper
came upstairs, to make sure everything was okay, and to bid the trio a quick
goodnight before tending to the rowdy bunch of fighters downstairs. Once more
Glehann praised the man for his hospitality and then went to sleep.
Not long after, at about 12:30 Glehann woke suddenly
to the unmistakable sound of the innkeeper screaming a blood-curdling call for
help. The screams must have awoken the other two, for they were already hopping
out of bed.
The trio ran down the stone stairs, heading straight
towards the sound. They were of course unaware of what they would see and why.
They jumped down the bottom flight of stairs, knocking over a man peering out
of his doorway. More yells and screams arose. These were from the troops that
had been sleeping downstairs.
At the final flight, the smell of gore filled the
trio's nostrils. They found themselves walking through the gore of at least 25
men. Their eyeballs were gouged out of their heads, sprawled out along the
floor. Tooth marks had appeared at there necks. Mortimer had never known it
would ever become this serious.
More will be up soon… By the way, review it, I really
need some inspiration!
* By the way, the steam-heated pool was heated by
ventilation tunnels in the inn. The inn was originally built over a hot spring.
I hope that clears it up a tad!
