Battle- lines
They had been called before the council of God, the two that were left that is. Before the Trinity had known what was happening Chaos had been thrown into the Abyss, a place of eternal darkness and isolation. Now War and Death faced their accusers, from all the ranks of the hosts of Heaven stood the three who had discovered Chaos at her work and had challenged her two closest associates. The two lovers stood unafraid and then God began to speak.
" You of all My angels have come against Me. Chaos will come at her time to be judged, but denounce her now and confess all to Me and you shall not be judged with her who has defied the Lord, your God."
War was wavering it was clearly written on his face that he was torn. He believed in what they had done and for the reasons they had done it. Still he had a mission: he was to be loyal to God and to love Him in all things. But Death could not see his fave from where he stood, little difference it would have made, but he could not see the namesake playing across his love's features and so he too spoke:
"Lord, I cannot in the good conscience that you have given me speak out against what I myself have done and believe in. I cannot turn my back to a friend who now needs support in this time of need. I will not lie and say I am sorry for my acts and because of this I stand to be judged and will make no effort to save myself from the punishment You bestow upon me." His head was held high through the speech and his voice neither cracked nor wavered in its conviction.

In the darkness of the Abyss she labored, their work would bear fruit!. A strange, broken laugh escaped Chaos' lips as she thought about the profits to come. For with its completion would come her revenge and the light would be absorbed as the Trinity of Darkness came to reign and all would be soaked with blood.

It's all based on this set of drawings I'm doing depicting each of the angels, I only have Dorothy, Heero and Duo done now but the others are coming.
