A/N: This story I have written takes place 4 years after "The Connection Between Padawans". I have also added 3 more chapters to "The Connection between Padawans" so please read the rest of that and tell me what you think! thanks!
(the scene opens with Nashira dying of some unknown disease)
"Nashira! you can't leave me, please don't leave me!" a now 20-year-old Obi-Wan Kenobi begged as he sat by her bedside.
"Obi-Wan.......I'll always.....love......you......forever." Nashira stammered.
With that said, Nashira gave into her call of the Force. Obi-Wan was devastated and couldn't believe what was happening. He ran to his quarters that he and his Master shared. Qui-Gon was waiting for him to return. Obi-Wan fell into his Master's arms crying his heart out. Qui-Gon looked down at him with his cool, soft blue gaze.
"I know you're hurting,Padawan." He told him.
"She.......She's gone!" Obi-Wan answered a little more calmer than before.
Qui-Gon looked at his Padawan and saw the same 16-year-old that he once knew. He hugged Obi-Wan for what seemed like an eternity,but Obi-Wan didn't care. He felt comfort in his Masters embrace. That night at the funeral, Qui-Gon watched the firelight blaze in Obi-Wan's tears. He wished so much that he could take his Padawan's pain away but he knew that he couldn't. Obi-Wan watched as the one girl he loved burned on the funeral prye. He felt like a part of him had been ripped out and was burning with Nashira on the prye.
After the fire burned down, The Masters and Padawans dispersed and scuttered to their quarters. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon stayed behind in the funeral room. Obi-Wan fell to his knees and started to sob. Qui-Gon knelt down beside him and put a hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder.
"You must let go, Young Padawan. Now lets go and get some sleep." Qui-Gon said softly.
So they both walked to their quarters. Obi-Wan's eyes were red from crying. Qui-Gon sat on the side of his bed and motioned Obi-Wan to sit on his lap. So Obi-Wan sat down as Qui-Gon rocked him to sleep. Qui-Gon felt like he had a son. He remembered many of nights, when Obi-Wan was younger, that he had craddled him in his armsand rocked him to sleep when he had nightmares. Then suddenly, Nashira appears by Obi-Wan's bedside.
"Obi-Wan." Nashira's glowing form says.
Obi-Wan woke up, lazily rubbing his eyes.
"Nashira? how did you get in here? your dead. " Obi-Wan said sleepily.
"I know but I am contacting you through the Force. I know I'm dead but I still love you in the after life. The Force will be with you...always!" Nashira said as she slowly faded out.
Obi-Wan laid in his bed for a minute and it felt like Nashira had filled the empty void in his heart.Then, he finally went back to sleep. Master Nivek mourned his former padawan's death but a year later took on another padawan. The next morning, Obi-Wan went into Nashira's old room remembering the night they had first met so many year's ago. Then, he walked to the door, remembering their first kiss. Suddenly, something on the dresser caught his eye. It was something carved on there. The inscription read:
Nashira Enrico
Loves
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Forever!
The memory of Nashira Enrico will be in the mind of Obi-Wan Kenobi forever. He'll remember all the times they spent training together and how she loved him for who he was. He went back to his room and replayed all the holo vid letters that Nashira sent to him on all her missions that she went on and remembered old times.
