A/N: I seem to have a habit of starting new stories and taking about a year to finish them. Oh well, if I didn't write new stories then I'd lose a lot of good ideas. Enjoy!

Chapter 1
"Mrs. Sirius Black," Hermione doodled on her notebook. She was all done with her homework and was thinking about her latest crush; Sirius Black.
"This is crazy. I mean, I can't have a crush on him. He's Harry's godfather and he's still on the run. He's also twenty years older than I am! I don't even want to think what my parents, not to mention Harry and Ron, would say about my being in love with a thirty-seven year old."
Hermione Granger sighed as she set her quill pen down and picked up her favorite book Hogwarts, A History. She didn't know how it had happened, but somehow she had fallen in love with Sirius Black. He wasn't even really her type. Sirius was funny, big on breaking rules, and wasn't the bookish type. All I all, he was almost the complete opposite of Hermione.
"And even if he felt the same way," Hermione thought ruefully, "there's that age difference." She knew, however, that Sirius would never fall in love with someone as young and naïve as she was. Sighing, she closed her diary, turned off her light, and quickly fell asleep.
**********dream sequence*************
"Hermione!!" someone shouted. Anxiously she turned around to find the source of the call. There, standing in front of her, was Sirius Black. Only he was younger, and appeared to be about the same age as she was. Sirius beckoned to her and, as Hermione came closer, she saw that he was wearing a time turner around his neck. Smiling, he took the time turner off of his neck and placed it around hers. Then, he blew her a kiss and slowly faded away.
**********end dream sequence**************
That morning, Hermione woke up smiling. Her dream had been so peaceful. She couldn't help thinking that it had had some deeper meaning then her other dreams of Sirius. Then it clicked, the time turner from her third year. Hermione had been allowed to keep it, with the promise that she would only use it when it was a dire emergency. Here she frowned. By using it, she could change the past and that was strictly against the law. Except, technically her crush was a dire emergency.
"After all," she thought, "I've thinking about Sirius so much that my grades are starting to suffer. And if that isn't a dire emergency, I don't know what is." With that thought, Hermione swallowed her guilt. She sent an owl to Dumbledore explaining the situation and got all her magic books and clothes in her trunk. Once she had all her possessions, Hermione got out her time turner, put it around her neck, and flipped the switch that allowed the time turner to go back in years instead of hours. Then, she turned the hourglass twenty times and began her journey to the past.
A/N: So what do you think? I'll try to make the next chapter longer. Please r/r!
