All That Might Have Been

My thoughts start drifting now and then,
As I think of all that might have been.
I think this is where I belong,
But sometimes everything feels wrong!
I can look at those I now call "friends,"
And I'm glad that this is how it ends.
And while my mind drifts way back when
I don't miss all that might have been...
Until I think of eyes of green;
Of all within them that I've seen.
I long for his touch, now and then,
And dream of all that might have been.
End Note: I originally tried to write this from Rinoa's point of view, thinking about Seifer, but I guess it could work for a few other pairings, too. What do you think?
