Chapter one: The Crush

Squall sat on the coach head bowed lightly on his chest looking almost as if he were asleep. He was dressed in his usual outfit of black leather. He sit there thinking of the Mission ahead that Cid had given him a week before. The whole reason he was there was to tell Selphie her assignment.
~*I hope I get it right, Cid was brief on what to do and who was in my party. I told Seifer I hope Selphie was the other he wished for me to take along with me. Maybe it was Rinoa…*~ Squall's heart nearly skipped a beat as he though of the girl silky brown hair, intense brown eyes, and her natural grace that was never gone, even when she was falling. Squall had it bad for her and everyone knew it accept for him. Every time he saw her his heart beast would quicken, his palms would sweat, his stern natural face would begin to crack as he saw her smile.
Before he knew it 10 minutes had passed and Selphie was emerging from her room. Rinoa also appeared from Selphie's room. Squall stood in respect as the women entered the room.
"hey Squall! Why are you here? I thought you where debriefing people? Oh I know you probably couldn't find Rinoa so came looking for her here!" Selphie cheerfully spoke as usual but Squall didn't catch a word of it as he watch Rinoa. She had begun to sift her hair through her fingers.
"Squall? Hurry up and tell Rinoa!! We have to go!!" Squall quickly snapped out of it.
"huh? Oh yeah well on 5/30 you have a mission with Squall Leonhart and Seifer Almasy. You are to report at Squall's dorm room at 600 hours on that day. More details shall be given then." Squall bowed and walked away to his room. Rinoa gently felt a tug at her arm as she watch the handsome young man walk away. She gently turn to Selphie and began to walk away.
