TSG fanfic
A/N: This is my first time writing a fanfic, so don't be harsh! Even though I'm pretty confident about my writing...(everyone does the famous Anime Sweatdrop) Anyway, please review it, pos. or neg. comments welcome! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: Sheesh! If I owned Pokemon would I be sitting here writing a fanfic?! I would probably be on a major shopping spree spending all the millions of dollars! So I hereby declare: I DO NOT OWN POKEMON!

The Silent Guardian
(A Pokemon Fanfic)

He walks on, searching, as the heavenly voice beckons him. The voice sounds familiar. He spots a light ahead of him, and quickens his pace. Then he sees them. The girl of his dreams and his best friend stand there, waving and smiling at him. He breaks into a run, but as he gets closer, the ground beneath him shudders and rumbles. A huge crack forms, seperating him and the other two. He drops to the ground, howling and weeping, as his love drifts, farther and farther away from him.
Brock opened his eyes and stared at the night sky. It was still dark, probably around 5am. He got out of his sleeping bag. He couldn't go back to sleep again; not with the dream he just had, and certainly not with her on his mind.
A smile came to his lips as Brock gazed down at his two younger companions. They looked so peaceful, but he knew better. The majority of his life spend with ten siblings taught him a thing or two about kids. He knew both Ash and Misty had a secret; the certain liking for a special someone. They couldn't hide it from Brock. It was obvious that Ash and Misty had feelings for each other. They were just too stubborn to admit it.
Brock sighed. As much as he longed for them to get together, he didn't want to share Misty with anyone else. She was the first girl he didn't drool over or act goofy around. In the beginning, he thought it was just the difference of age; but later, he realized that he kept deeper feelings for her. At that time, he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of her.
Sure, everyone thought that Brock is girl-crazed. To tell the truth, he had enough self-control to resist any Jenny, Joy, or other pretty girls. He only put on the "Love-sick Brock" act because he enjoyed Misty pulling his ear, whacking him with her mallet, and dragging him off. It was, in a way, a sign of affection. It showed that she at least cared.
He kicked at the ashes of the fire which died out not long ago. He recalled the time he left Ash and Misty for Prof. Ivy and her three assistants. Besides the fabulous chance to study pokemon, he needed the time to think things out. All the chores and research took his mind off Misty. As time goes by, he felt himself attached to Prof. Ivy. When he asked her out, she rejected him, explaining that she's too old for him. With a broken heart, he found comfort back at Pallet Town, waiting patiently for Ash and Misty.
Brock softly traced his hand over Misty's face, then drew back. He loved her, but he couldn't stand in her way of happiness. Ash is the only one who can make her complete. That is, if they ever get around to confessing to each other.
For now, Brock decided, I will stay and watch over them. It will be my duty to keep them safe and serve as an older brother. Until they figure out their relationship.
Until then...

A/N: So what do you think? I know there's not much of a plot, but it kinda explains why Brock travels around with Ash and Misty. I mentioned that Brock has ten siblings, but I'm not exactly sure that's true. Hope you enjoyed it!
