Chapter 2: Could It be?
"Oh my gosh!" Kaoru cried out.
"Ha ha… now we don't have to
kill her." A skinny guy laughed.
"Grr…" Sanosuke and Yahiko
were about to kill the men.
What is wrong with me? Why
do I feel so much hate for this guy? Why am I so worried? Damn it! Sano cursed silently.
"Sano! Yahiko! Stop!" Kenshin
yelled. He held them back by their collars just before the ground about one
inch away from them exploded, sending rocks and bits of sand flying. The five
men walking away were thrown into the air, as shards of rocks cut them across
the limbs and stomachs.
"Swoosh!" The girl landed on
her feet, seeming to have jumped up from underground.
"What the…" Sano muttered.
"That girl… she…she…" Yahiko
could say no more, but all at the scene was understood.
"That technique is impossible
to master fully. That is why we are not dead yet. You have to thrust the sword
in such a way that the ground you want to destroy would shatter completely. I
can't believe she could do even half of it! She must have found a cave or
something to sneak into…" Kenshin commented.
The girl walked over to them
before saying, "I'm Kiyoko Natsuki. Could you please get a doctor? Those five
are really injured badly." She smiled and fainted into Sanosuke's arms. Sano
grabbed her tightly.
I'll protect you, Natsuki…
You'll be safe with me. What?! What said that?! Dammit… could it be…??? No way.
