Soft as the afternoon breeze

A humble complaint
Sad as the light raindrops

In which moisture tantalizes
Unforgiving and betraying
Beautiful as an unexpected rainbow

Silent and hidden
with the fear of detection

Which will be seen by all
Friend or foe
Gorgeous as the rare wild flower

But lights the earth when it does
