Chapter 1
"Mind
if we sit here?" Dark haired boy asked accompanied by a brown haired boy.
"Do
I know you?" I asked because it was unusual for strangers to come and ask to
sit with my friends and me. I mean
we're not cheerleaders or anything.
Wait a minute, scratch that, ONE of us was a cheerleader.
"We
were in their health class last year," The brown haired boy said pointing to my
sister, Joni and her friend Beth.
Ah-ha! I should have known that
they were freshmen!
"You
made the atomic smoothie!" Joni said pointing at the black haired boy.
"What's
an atomic smoothie?" I asked not sure I wanted to know the answer Joni and her
friends could be downright strange at times and that was coming from the older
sister that she had tried to copy when she was little.
"It's
a new element and form of warfare," Beth stated matter-of-factly. Now I knew I shouldn't have asked there are
just some things that should be left unsaid.
"Actually,"
the black haired boy said sitting down next to me and it was then I realized he
was sort of cute for a freshman, "It's what happens when someone," He looked
directly at Beth and I knew what he was saying had something to do with
handwriting, Beth has the WORST handwriting, "Writes in another language so
people think she's wrote plain yogurt instead vanilla yogurt."
"How
can you mistake plain for vanilla? Even
Beth doesn't write that badly," Said Abby, another one of Joni's friends. Beth simply nodded in agreement.
"Well,
it was close to midnight and plain was the only type of yogurt they had at the
store," The black haired boy explained.
Just then the bell rang and Beth and Val, my best friend, began packing
up. Beth and Val are the resident
"goody-two-shoes" or as Beth says "goodies with two shoes" and consider being late
as bad as getting the plague. Well,
Beth does, Val just uses that as an excuse, her real reason is the guy that she
likes is in her next.
Just
as I was packing up the black haired said to me, "See you in fifth period,"
"What?"
I said in confusion. There was no way
he could be in my period five class, my period five class was geometry and he
didn't look smart enough to be in that class.
To me he looked Algebra 1A, maybe Algebra 1, but defiantly not geometry.
"I'm
your fifth period class," He said firmly.
"Whatever,"
I said walking away.
A/N: Okay just to let you know
those characters are based on real people, I'm Beth if were wondering and my handwriting
really is that BAD. Happy reading and
please review!
