THE PROM
It was 1 week till the High School prom, and 18 year old Kari had no one to go with. Of course, there was always Davis, but she wanted T.K. the best basketball player and most popular guy in school. But she new he could have his pick of any girl in school.
After school on Monday Kari was waiting for T.K. to finish practice. At his locker Kari saw the most popular girl ask him to the prom. Kari didn't wait for his answer. ( she ran home) Meanwhile, T.K. had told Janine no, that his heart belonged to only one girl.
The next two days she did not talk to him and when Davis asked her to the prom ( for the thirtieth time ) she actually said yes. On Thursday T.K. finally got the nerve to ask her. When he did ask Kari she told him she was going with Davis.
T.K. was heart broken.
At the prom with Davis she saw T.K standing alone(she was saddened) and told Davis she had to go to the bathroom to freshen up. In the bathroom she couldn't get her mind off of T.K. Meanwhile Janine had asked Davis to dance and when they were finished Janine kissed Davis and he kissed her back.They kissed just as Kari walked out of the bathroom and she saw them. She started crying and ran outside passing T.K. on the way out. He took off after her and saw her sitting on the grass crying. T.K. ran over to her and asked her what was wrong, she told him.
He said if he could help and she said yes and then she grabbed and kissed him.
Kari said I love you T.K. and he said I love you too.
