In this fic T.K., Kari, and Davis are all 22.
T.K. was going back to Japan for the first time since that day 10 years ago when he left with his mother to America. He had left only two days after confessing his love for Kari. "I'll never love anyone but you, " that's what Kari had said. But things had changed, she was now married to Davis and they were the only ones left in Japan. (all the other digi-destined had moved to America later on)
Anyway, T.K. was now going to visit Kari (he knew she was married) on his vacation break.
When T.K. got to Japan Kari was waiting at the airport. He hugged her and instantly noticed something was wrong. She had bruises on her arm and face.
T.K. asked her what had happened, and she said she had tripped on her stairs.
T.K. didn't believe her but he let the subject drop. When they got to her house Davis was on the couch watching t.v. he said," Hi T.J. and Kari get me another beer." Kari instantly got him a beer. It was late so T.K. was going to sleep in his room
( Kari and Davis had a guest room) he said goodnight to Davis (no response) and to Kari (she hugged him) and went to his room. Right after that he heard someone crying, and he and Patamon listened closely.(Patamon and Gatomon had been wondering around town since T.K arrived, and they had just returned)He heard Kari go to her room crying. T.K. went to Kari's room and demanded to know what had happened now. She said nothing and T.K. noticed she now had a black eye. T.K. said he was leaving since she did not want to talk. He had just packed his stuff and was already outside when Gatomon ran outside and started saying that Davis beat Kari, and X-veemon beat her. T.K. ran inside and hit Davis in the face, they started fighting and T.K. hit Davis in the face again knocking him out. Veemon hit T.K. in the back then Patamon and Gatomon tied Veemon up. T.K. ran upstairs and kissed Kari. Then he called the police.
FIVE WEEKS LATER:
Kari had divorced Davis and was moving to America to be with T.K. She turned to the tall blonde sitting next to her on the plane and said, "T.K. I love you ." He said," I love you too Kari." Will you marry me ? She said yes instantly.
