"You'll come for me, won't you?" Kouran whispered, she let her hands trace Houjun's bare chest.
"I promise," Houjun kissed her forehead softly.
"Yes, here, on this bridge," Kourna smiled softly, her heart melting.
"Through space, through time, I'll come for you," Houjun vowed solemnly.
"Then nothing can keep us apart. Not even Suzaku himself," Kouran stepped back, looking deep into his eyes. Her voice was thick with urgency, "Hurry, Houjun... Or my heart will surely break. Come for me, Houjun... I'll wait for you atop the bridge of gold,"
Chichiri awoke from his dream, it had been the same dream for weeks, but.... This time, her tone, her voice... Something terrible would happen if he didn't find the place of his dream.
"Kouran... I have to find you, I have to find that bridge..."

Kouran stood alone on a wooden bridge, the metal railing on both sides was painted green. The sun was just beginning to rise. She sang softly to herself, when she got to the last verse, she abruptly stopped singing.
'If I should leave this lonely world behind...'
"Yes, it's time that I did leave this lonely world behind..." Kouran looked around with regret in her eyes, "I waited for you, Houjun, for so long, I waited... But you never came for me..." Kouran put one foot on the railing of the bridge, then the other. Her dark locks swayed in the wind. She let herself fall forward.

'Kouran, I must get to Kouran... Suzaku, I beg you, take me to Kouran...' Chichiri closed his eyes and willed it with all his might. He disappeared in a flash of red light.
When the light faded, he found himself on a wooden bridge, bathed in the golden light of dawn.
'I'll wait for you atop the bridge of gold,' Kouran's voice rung in his mind. Thats when he saw it. Kouran, she had left off the bridge, she had fallen too far, there was no way for him to save her. An idea, an insane idea, but all the same.
"I'll be damned it I lose you again, Kouran!" Chichiri silently cursed Tasuki's effect in his langauge. Chichiri lept off the bridge after her.
"Houjun!" Kouran cried, tears of joy spilled down
her cheeks, "You came..." Chichiri,
iie, Houjun said nothing but instead wrapped her in a tight hug.
The two spiraled down as one, plunging into the depths of the icy
water.

In the water, Houjun brought Kouran's face close.
He pressed his lips against hers, gently. Only when Kouran kissed
back did he make the kiss more passionate. The water was getting
colder, but they didn't notice nor mind. They kept each other
warm, and they were ready for death. They had one another, and
that was more than they needed.
