AN: This just kinda popped into my head today while I was
listening to Time Of Your Life.
Disclaimer: I don't own this song. Billie Joe wrote it so it belongs to him. So don't sue me!!!
Another turning point,
A fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs by you by the wrist,
Directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test,
And don't ask why.
It's not a question,
But a lesson learned in time.
Lina leaned on her elbow. She and Gourry had broken up a few days ago. She didn't really care anyway. She always asked herself why she had ever even gone out with him. Gourry was never the "one". She had known that before but she ignored it. There was something else… She had never seen it before until now. She had never listened to what Zel was really saying. But he had left and in her heart it felt like it was the end of the world.
It's something unpredictable,
But in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
Zel had left the 'group' a week ago. He was walking and walking, didn't know where to. There was always something in the back of his mind that nagged him. He did like Lina, but Lina was Gourry's. He didn't know they had broken up. Before he had left he had always given her hints of how he felt, but she had never picked up on them. He didn't know how she felt. He always thought that she and Gourry were 'madly in love'. He keeps asking himself a question, a question that was ridiculous and then not ridiculous at the same time. "Do we have a chance?"
So take the photographs,
And still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf of good health
And good time.
Tattoos of
memories and
Dead skin on
trial.
For what it's
worth,
It was worth
all the while.
Lina had decided. She wouldn't wait around here while Zel got further and further away.
She would go after him and tell him how she felt and how she was sorry that she had
missed all his signals. She got up quickly and ran out the door, not knowing where to go.
She ran and ran. Then it hit her. She'd go to the special place. She kept running, hoping
against hope that Zel would be there.
It's something
unpredictable,
But in the end
is right.
I hope you had
the time of your life.
Zel stopped walking. He had to go back. But he didn't know if Lina was still there. She
may have moved on, never looking back on him and the memories of fun and laughter.
Still, he was determined. He turned around and started running. He got an idea of where
she might have gone. He ran faster, hoping against hope that Lina would be there.
It's something
unpredictable,
But in the end
is right.
I hope you had
the time of your life.
Lina ran and ran and she finally saw him in the distance. He was running towards her.
"Zel!!!" She screamed. She ran until she was in his arms. "I'm sorry Zel! I never saw it!
I-I love you Zel." Zel smiled and then put his finger on her lips. "I love you too, Lina."
Zel hugged her. Lina looked up into his eyes. They stared at each other, seeing the
message in each other's eyes. They started to kiss and they stood there, oblivious to the
world, finally together.
It's something
unpredictable,
But in the end
is right.
I hope you
have the time of your life…
AN: Well? Just the product of my boredom. I hoped you liked but most likely you didn't and thought it was really crappy and……anyways just REVIEW!!!!!
