A Newfound Foe
Authors note: I don't own anything and can't spell or use good grammar either. This is also my first Fic so please review or flame or give me suggestions in general. Oh well, on to the Fic.
It was a bright winters day when it happened, the event that would forever change the lives of two close friends. The great heroes Setzer and Locke were walking around South Figaro looking for a bar and a good time, enjoying their newfound celebrity following the fall of Kefka.
"Hey, I know a great place 'round here, it's called the Bets Off." Locke says, " It has some of the best Chocobo wings around."
"Great, I'm starving." A hungry looking Setzer replied, "Lets go"
So the two start off to the Bets Off when they were suddenly stopped by a raggedy looking beggar.
"You two look like the wealthy type, think ya can spare a few gil for a poor soul such as myself." The beggar holds out his hand, obviously wanting a handout.
Locke suddenly got very angry. "You're damn strait I'm the wealthy type, and that's cause I don't go giving out money left and right"
Suddenly getting an idea, Setzer grins at the beggar, "I'll tell you what, I'm gonna flip this shinny coin here, if its heads, you will leave us alone, if its tails, I'll give it to you. Fair?"
"Fair"
Setzer winks at Locke and proceeded to flip the coin.
"C'mon tails, papa needs a new pair of anything."
"Here it is, and its, oh well, too bad, HEADS. Goodbye you fool."
The Beggar flares with anger, "I have half a mind to kill the two of you now, but a deal is a deal. So I will leave you, but not without saying this one thing, the two of you are soon to face the greatest foes you have yet to see and only one of you will come out on top."
The mysterious beggar then leaves with the sounds of Locke and Setzers laughter following him.
"Hey, isn't that the coin Celes gave you?" Locke asked after seeing the coin.
"You mean the one with two heads, yep"
"How did you get a hold of it?"
"That chick never could say no to me, I just asked her and she was more than happy to oblige, she even gave me this coin to." Setzer brakes out laughing.
Locke, who had been going out with Celes for last couple of weeks suddenly grabs hold of Setzer by the shirt collar and throws him up against a wall. "Don't you ever talk about my Celes that way again. If you do, I'll take you down so hard you won't wake up 'til next week."
Locke suddenly tightens his grip as Setzer keeps laughing. "What are you gonna do 'bout it ya lousy thief."
"Its treasure hunter and don't you ever forget it." Locke throws down Setzer and pulls out his dagger. "And if you do, this lil blade will have to have a little talk with ya.?"
Setzer, having his fill of all this big talk gets a serious look on his face. Suddenly, with the speed of a madman, he trips Locke and throws him to the ground. "A weakling like you will never win the heart of Celes, only a real man like myself could."
Stunned and slightly hurt, Locke starts to slowly get up, only to go down as Setzer lands a vicious kick to his head, soundly knocking him out. "Yeah, that's what I thought. Hm, I guess I really should go get some of those wings I hear so much about." Setzer turns around and walks away, leaving Locke lying in the middle of the street.
