Just Because You Kissed Me Good Night

I climbed the shoji and opened the stairs,
Said my yukata and put on my prayers,
Then turned off the futon and crawled into the light --
All because you kissed me good night.

Next morning I woke and cooked my shinai,
Practiced with my onigiri and boiled the news,
I couldn't tell my left from my right --
All because you kissed me good night.

At night at last, I felt normal again,
So I drank the rice and chewed the tea,
I spoke to the cat and threw Yahiko a bone --
All because you kissed me good night.

I came upon the poem "Just because you kissed me good night" when I was in high school (which is about four years ago??? ^_^) and I just found my copy of this poem recently. It was so cute and funny that I just had to make it into an RK fanfic. Hope You Like it! R & R very much appreciated!
