He wants to get to know her but she hides a dark past and she's reluctant to open up to anyone but he's determined to break through her walls.

In the present day Tess has finally had enough of Voight, and since she was giving one old man a piece of her mind why not another? Meanwhile in the past we see her start to understand exactly what she means Jay, and how much he needs her help, especially since her Ranger doesn't want to be a solider anymore.

In the present day Jay finally gets to see what happens when Tess and Voight collide, while also making sure his team finally learns to respect her, and in the past we see what it was like when the Ranger finally decided he wasn't a soldier anymore.
