Javert is annoyed that the building revolutionary effort is putting strain on his system, and Valjean just wants everyone to be happy. Mortal war and immortal bickering ensue, but it's a whole lot fluffier than it sounds. Mostly.

A foster kid, Cosette didn’t have the ideal childhood. But it seemed out of character for her to run away. Marius is willing to do anything to help her. As she stays in the shed in the backyard, they grow closer, friendship blossoming into romance as Marius tries to figure out why Cosette ran away.

Cosette was never stubborn until she got sick. As a child, it was drilled in her that she couldn't rest when she was ill. Now that she was older, she simply refused to be sick. Yet it only took some prodding to get her back to bed.

"We'll get married." He tells her, as she cleans out Valjean's room with tears in her eyes. "I don't want your pity." She scoffs at him. "I can never love again like I loved Marius." The night before the barricades rise, Grantaire reflects on how he is unable to believe in Enjolras' cause, and decides to join in the battle anyway because of his love for Enjolras himself. To the tune of "If I Believed" from Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier.
