A/N: This is not one of my stories! My friend has written this and it's her first fan fiction so she has no account here. She asked me if I would use my account to post this so don't give me any credit! Enjoy!

Dumbledore's Story
The wind whipped cruelly at the lone figure standing on the Scottish moors. His long beard and hair flowed behind him and a single tear was sent spinning into the unknown bleakness. For a while the man just stood there motionless but then he looked up into the unusually clear sky and let out a long, low whistle. A large bird, the size of a swan flew towards him but strangely it looked like it was on fire! The man seemed not to be startled at this and held out his arm for the bird to land. The bird was Fawkes the phoenix and the man was Professor Dumbledore of Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. Dumbledore slowly stroked the phoenix's head, contemplating the land around him.
Slowly he turned round to find a rock to sit on and he lowered himself slowly onto a slab jutting out of the ground, a nearby osprey called out it's challenge to no-one in particular and far up in the sky swifts and swallows flittered about looking for insects to give to their young. It had been a day like this when it had happened: a lazy, peaceful day, when no one was expecting it. Carefully Dumbledore pulled out a bright blue green stone from his red robes. The middle was clear and there was a picture was a middle-aged man with a woman and two young boys. Again another tear rolled down his crooked nose and the stone turned a deep red, purple colour. The woman had long black hair with stunning blue eyes; the man had brown hair with grey blue eyes. Both the boys had blue eyes, but one had black hair and the other had brown. Apart from this the boys were almost identical.
As the stone was magic, the people inside it moved around and he could see the two boys play fighting while the woman and the man talked. Tiny speech bubbles could be seen and Dumbledore peered closely at the stone, reading what was being said. A speech bubble appeared by the woman and it read:
"I really miss you darling."
"I miss you too." Dumbledore muttered softly to the woman in the stone, " Why you? Why did you go? Why wasn't it me instead?"
The lady slowly reached to the man in the stone, "Dumbledore, you know you couldn't have prevented it."
" But if it wasn't for me, none of this would've happened, you and Jack would still be alive."
"Yes but if James wasn't with you at the time he would be dead as well."
A faraway look crossed Dumbledore's gaze and whispered something to the stone, making it turn blue again. He then placed it into his robes and slowly got up, muttered something and he disappeared with Fawkes, leaving the endless moors and memories behind.
