It was summertime in the picturesque town of Harmony. Things were the same as usual; Kay Bennett was still scheming to get the hottie of Harmony Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald. But one thing was a little different in Harmony; the Bennett's were finally living in their new house, which Sam built with the help of Luis and Hank. But at the moment the Bennett Family was anxiously waiting for Sam Bennett to come home, he had a surprise for them.
"Mom when is dad getting home?" Jessica asked her mother as her, Kay, charity and her mother Grace waited in the living room for Sam to come home.
"Well he should be coming home soon" Grace replied looking at her watch
Soon enough Sam walked through the door and greeted his family
"So are you guys ready for my surprise?" Sam asked with a grin on his face
"Dad, were more than ready" Kay said
"OK" Sam said took in a deep breath "Next week are family will be going on vacation"
Grace walked up to her husband and gave him a kiss "That's great sweetie"
"Well I'm not finished yet" Sam said "Well I was talking to one of my old police buddies, John Black and he owns this vacation house in upstate NY, and the house is pretty big so he wants our family to join his, it'll be kind of like a reunion.
"That sounds great dad" Kay said excited about the trip
"Uncle Same, can Miguel come with us?" Charity asked
"I'm already a step ahead of you Charity" Sam smiled "I've already planned for him to join us"
"Does your friend have any kids dad?" Jessica asked
"Actually he does, he has a son name Brady who is around 19 years old and a daughter Belle who is 17, so what do you guys think?" Sam asked
"Its great dad, I'm going to go call Simone" Kay said and ran upstairs to her bedroom, she picked up her phone and dialed Simone's number
"Hello" Simone asked as she picked up the phone
"Hey Simone" Kay said and sat on her bed
"Oh hey Kay, what's up?" Simone asked
"Well, I won't be around next week" Kay said
"Why?" Simone asked
"Well our family plus Miguel are going on vacation with my dad's friend and his family" Kay replied
"Oh that sounds cool" Simone said
"Yea, it'll be a great way for me to get closer to Miguel" Kay smirked
"Kay, I thought your plans on getting Miguel yours were over" Simone asked
"Hey, a girl can try, right?" Kay said
"I guess so, try not to get yourself in trouble, does your Dad's friend have any kids?" Simone said trying to change the subject a little
"Yea he does, a son who is 19 and a daughter who is our age" Kay replied
"Oh I see, maybe this guy we'll be cute" Simone said
"With my luck he'll probably be a geek like Reese" Kay said and laughed
"Kay I'm sure he won't be that bad" Simone said
"You never know, well I think I'm going to start packing Simone, I'll call you later" Kay said looking in her closet for her suitcase
"OK talk to you later" Simone said
"Bye" Kay said
"Bye" Simone said and hunk up the phone
