When my sister started watching Ronin Warriors, she said that Rowen had
a "Brooklyn Accent" This story will explain how he got that accent.

His birth name was Touma and he was a very neglected child. His father would
spend months studying in some science lab and his mother would spend years in LA and
New York. When he was six, he decided to get their attention by changing his name to
Rowen and obtaining a Brooklyn accent. Rowen practiced his accent until his eighth
birthday which was when his mom came home. However she completely ignored his name
change and when she heard her son's accent, she exclaimed, "OH, TOUMA-KUN'S SO
KAWAII!! YOU SOUND LIKE YOU'RE GETTING READY TO BECOME A
JOURNALIST AND VISIT AMERICA, JUST LIKE ME!!" But it was too late, he had
practiced talking like that for too long and now the accent had become permanent.
