"Woven Dreams"
Once, in the morning light
When woven dreams held a mystical sight,
The stars glistened against the twilight sky
When never pools streamed from my eyes;
I was with you.
Once, night seemed to last forever
And still my aching heart remembers
When everlasting time had broken wings,
And my heart experienced wondrous things;
I was with you.
Once, the world seemed cloudless and new
Birds' morning songs awakened new views.
When I felt my heart singing
With joy inside ringing,
I was with you.
Now, sitting beneath the starlight sky
I think of our memories and begin to cry.
Gazing into the cool night air,
I now weep with sorrow, sadness, and despair;
No longer am I with you.
The stars, no longer gleaming,
Fallen embers instead seeming.
The night air is lonely and cold
With you not there to love, to hold.
No longer am I with you.
Saying our tearful, somber good byes,
My heart broke and inside I cried.
I miss you with each passing day
Ever since that woeful day you went away.
Someday, I pray, we'll meet again.
