Raven&Dove

SUMMARY: A short poem from the AJBAC flashback (hey, that rhymes) in which an unnamed X-5--known by some as Crow Boy-- is killed.

DISCLAIMER: The poem is my creation, but Dark Angel, AJBAC and everything else are not. Don't bother to sue me because I have nothing of value.

The Raven and the Dove
Raven flies up from a winter branch
Feathers shine, and the light seems to dance
Like snowflakes falling as we watch,
Then gunshot; and see a crimson blotch
Spreading beneath the dying dove,
A badge of his undying love.
But the innocent eyes stare dead at the sky
And the others are too scared to cry
We just stand around and wonder why:
Why did the dove have to die?
