Hey, did anyone notice that Vegeta got real nervous and fidgety when Bulma was nice to him? You know, after he helped them formulate that wish for Porunga? Well, I did, and I thought it was cute. This is one of my only one-shots, so somebody better read it!
It was utterly inconceivable to him. He had, not five minutes ago, declared himself the strongest in the universe, and proceeded to laugh maniacally in their faces. He had told them that they were his servants(or something to that effect) and laughed again. That kid had even attacked him, and they had fought.
Now, to his immense chagrin, and confusion both seemed to be gratuitous to him. The woman, AND the kid! Who he had fought two minutes ago. The woman SMILED at him, and the kid tried to shake his hand, while SMILING! What odd behaviour. Never had he encountered such a forgiving race. And all he'd done was make a menial suggestion. Odd indeed.
It made him uneasy. He covered that by being his tart and sarcastic self. It didn't seem to faze them. It seemed that they looked at him knowingly now. He didn't like it.
He was startled out of his thoughts when the woman asked him if he would like to stay with her and her family. All He could do was gape, and the damn woman seemed to take that as a yes. She smiled at him again, and made some comment about him needing a place to stay too.
Again he became nervous, and covered it by scowling and retreating into silence.
He supposed it would be prudent for him to stay there. They had a space capsule, so if things got too boring, he could take off. He smiled in his cruel way. And the woman wasn't half terrible on the eyes. Too bad she was human. And too bad she seemed utterly besotted with that weakling he had terminated.
Until Kakarrot was wished back, this was the perfect place to stay. Then he could continue on with his goal to become a Super Saiya-jin. Vegeta smirked evilly. And possibly have some... other extracurricular activities.
