That Harry has always been prepared to sacrifice himself to save others, has never been in doubt. To save Ruth, multiply one hundred fold. A single phone call, sees him flying to Cyprus to do just that.

So, here we are again. An unexpected idea - not especially original - appeared to me suddenly. To be honest, I got the title first, and the rest simply followed. Set early-mid S9, and featuring most of the S9 Grid personnel, this is a gentle tale, using my favourite storytelling technique - dialogue.

When Wes's childhood ends, it does so with a bang and no whimpers. (Or: a lesson in overcoming tragedies, by Wes Carter).

Set after the EERIE episode in series 2. Harry and Ruth are both left with a lot to think about following the exercise.

An early morning wake up call, ghosts from the past and the threat to an apparently honest politician drags the team into danger. Can Harry protect his team? Can Ros escapes the demons of her past?

Set in Series 10, this is a Ruth versus Elena Story, with the same twists and turns, but with a different ending. Because for the last ten years, Ruth has worked at the Home Office and has never met Harry. Starting from the moment that Towers tells Harry to get his head out of the cold war. Something that when he calms down, he reconsiders.

AU. Major Harry Pearce meets a young woman named Ruth. Their lives together will change them both, but for Ruth, the journey will utterly transform her into someone she never dreamed she could be. But with Harry by her side to support and encourage her, she can become all she was born to be.

Harry struggles to cope with Ruth's death with the assistance of his daughter, Catherine. There will be a happy ending, I promise!

Yet another one shot, and again from later in the Spooks story, rather than earlier. Ruth is seriously miffed with Harry, but she doesn't have the full story, and nor does she appear to care about the details. Some plotty background stuff with much misunderstanding.

H/R AU Season 5 - Half a bottle of wine down on a Friday night Ruth considers the consequences of turning down that second date... Now with a fourth chapter.

Completely, utterly AU H/R. Turns out that interest in Harry and Ruth's relationship goes pretty high up...

This is definitely one-shot, in which an underlying plot carries Harry along with it to places he never expected he'd have to go. Told for Harry's POV, this is set early in S.10, with no sign or mention of Russian spies. (And as much as I still enjoy writing, I am running out - or have run out - of ideas.)

*Spoilers for S9* Set between S9 and S10. Harry is at home at a loose end. Until he gets a visitor.

A sequel to 'The Shipping Forecast'. Five years have passed since Harry first arrived on their tiny Scottish Island in search of Ruth. Five years during which so much as happened. The first chapter is seen almost entirely through Harry's eyes, as he reflects on what was and how his life and that of his family are about to change.

A Christmas story in 2 parts - just a little treat for my fellow H&R fans.

This story, of 2 chapters and an epilogue, is set during the last 2 weeks of December 2010. Chapter 2 will be posted in around 7 days, with the epilogue around 24 hours following that. As in some other stories of mine, I have chosen for Ros Myers to have survived the hotel bombing, given her unique view of the world adds a special something to this story.

This is a follow up to my last one-shot, "It's Lonely At The Top." Set some months later, Ruth has a meeting to attend, one she would rather avoid. One shot only.

Current events conspire to affect the team. Can Harry keep his friends and family safe? An unknown pathogen sweeping the world separates the team but Section D still have work to do. Terrorists don't seem to be adhering to the Lockdown - meaning somehow Harry and his team have to keep going when the rest of the world have been ordered to stop

Another one shot, set in S10, veering into AU territory, because the canon story was ridiculous, and unsatisfying. A two-hander, featuring H & R.

After her run in with the French Assassin Ruth has to face her demons. Harry is determined she was not going to face them alone. Will she let him? Is she ever going to be the same again? Set after Harry sees her in the hospital.

This one shot is a loose follow-on from my last one shot, set a couple of months after "It's August Again." Together Harry and Ruth visit the past, some of it shared, some of it belonging to Harry alone. Another quite contemplative piece.
