Standard stuff again, it's a
Collective Soul song, and Quistis and the others belong to Squaresoft. So
there. All of this takes place fairly early in the game, when she loses her
instructor's license and looks to Squall for support.
Quistis
stood alone n the hallway to the training area. She sighed and let herself lean
against the wall, thinking perhaps that she should have never told those things
to Squall.
I waltzed around you
Seven
times
Only
to becomes
A
melody you never sang
I'm
not the one
She
wrapped her arms around her own body from the chill she felt, though it wasn't
from the night air.
Oh, I'm not the one
Oh,
I'm not the one
She
brushed her hair back and slowly walked to the elevator, nodding as she passed
the Garden Faculty.
Clouds of thought you
Filter through
Never
to reason
While
patiently your world
Still
bleeds
Who
shall be the one?
She got
on the elevator and pressed the button for the second floor.
Oh, I'm not the one
Oh, I'm not the one
Holding
in another sigh, she paced to the classroom and unlocked the door, then sat at
her old desk.
I waltzed around you
Seven
times
Only
to becomes
A
melody you never sang
I'm not the one
Oh, I'm not the one
She folded
her arms and laid her head in them, allowing herself to weep silently for the
things she had lost.
Oh, I'm not the one
Oh, I'm not the one
Oh, I'm not the one
Cid was
examining the halls and saw the light on. He peeked in to see Quistis, sobbing
at her desk, and although she was no longer permitted to be in the classroom
after hours, he eased the door shut so no one would disturb her.
Not the one
Not the one
