A supposedly simple mission is never so simple... What she finds there may be a threat far greater than the Reapers. Luckily, someone familiar with this ancient, supernatural enemy has Returned, too. It's been a year since Alan conquered the Dark Presence. All is seemingly well in Bright Falls, until strange occurrences begin to make Alan's friends and allies question whether or not the Dark Presence was truly defeated. Sam and Dean Winchester receive word of these events, and soon find themselves in the midst of a war much bigger than they ever could've imagined.

Alan Wake sends himself to the future, in order to find a hero that can help him to defeat the Dark Presence. Commander Shepard is that hero. Alan develops a friendship with Shepard's squad and he tries to forget his past, but it comes back for him.

Dante was sent by a mysterious letter to come to a town known as Bright Falls. But soon he tries to save a falling woman from drowning in a lake and suddenly ends up in a darker Bright Falls. Along the way he meets Author Alan Wake who's trapped in the Dark Place to finish his story. However the demon hunter convinces him to stop writing and start fighting to get out.

Dipper goes to Bright Falls to save Wendy while Mabel fights off her greatest fears.
