Shock
"Odango Atama!"
"Minus zero personality!"
"Crybaby!"
"Jerk!" Motoki sighed as he listened to his best friend and his best customer fighting. It was common knowledge that at 3:45
sharp in the Crown Cafe where Motoki worked Usagi and Mamoru would start up a fight. Usually it was his black haired friend that would start the comments, but every so often the blonde Usagi would start it. As of now, the battle had been going on for ten minutes, and there didn't seem to be any signs of stopping. Motoki sighed again as he watched all the people in the arcade making bets on who would walk away first. The reason he hadn't stopped one of their fights in so long was, one due to the fact that either Mamoru or Usagi yelled at him because he was interrupting, and two was to the other fact that it brought great business. People came in and actually made bets on who they thought would win the fight. So it had been for nearly four years. Mamoru was 22, and Usagi was 18. Motoki was almost glad that he was nearly out of college, and that he would no longer have to work in his father's cafe to help pay for his college education.
"Dimwit!"
"Moron!"
"Indolent!"
"Huh?" Usagi asked bewildered at what Mamoru had called her.
"It means lazy." Mamoru drawled. Usagi glared daggers at him while Mamoru just smirked. Motoki decided it was time to butt in.
"You guys, when will you cease your endless fighting? It's high time that you both grew up!" Motoki said exasperated.
"You're right Motoki." Mamoru said. Motoki looked shocked at his friend.
"I agree." Usagi said. "Friends?" At this, Motoki's mouth was hanging open.
"No!" Mamoru said defiantly. Motoki shut his mouth. 'Leave it to Mamoru to ruin it.' Motoki thought.
"You're right." Usagi once again agreed. Motoki gave Mamoru an odd look when he got down on one knee.
"Usagi, will you do me the honor of being my wife?" And to Motoki's, and everyone else watching in the Cafe, great surprise
Mamoru pulled out a diamond ring, like he had planned this.
"Of course!" Usagi threw herself into Mamoru's arms.
"I love you Usako." Mamoru said, as he started to kiss Usagi in front of everyone shamelessly.
"I love you too Mamo-chan." Usagi breathed between kisses.
"Bunny."
"Muffin."
"Sweet-heart."
"Sweetie." The endearments continued, but Motoki had fainted away in shock to hear any more of them. Many were whispering around the cafe. Since when did it turn from insults to endearments? Many wondered. Usagi and Mamoru left the cafe hand in hand.
"Do you think they would believe us if we told them that we fell in love a thousand years ago, and that for four years we've staged our fighting?" Mamoru asked.
"No idea. But the shock from Motoki was well worth keeping up our little game." Usagi winked. Then asked seriously, "Do you think Motoki's okay?"
"He'll be okay." Mamoru said, looking back into the arcade. He watched his friend get up from where he had fallen on the floor.
They watched as Motoki took a bottle of aspirin from behind the counter and take two pills, and then another two, and then another. "I think he'll be okay." Mamoru added almost trying to convince himself.
"Do you think it's too soon to invite him to the wedding?" Usagi asked. They watched Motoki walk on unsteady feet into the back
room. Motoki looked out to where the two of them stood. He paled noticeably.
"Not yet." Mamoru said. "That might kill him." Usagi giggled and the pair waved and watched Motoki faint again. "Maybe in a week
or so he'll come around...er...I hope." Mamoru added when Motoki didn't move from his position on the floor. The two walked off, knowing that they would live happily eve after.
Okay...corny, I know. Did you like it? Didja, didja, didja? - Jelp
