So the first section of this has been sitting in my WIP file for 2.5 years. I knew I wanted to explore Kirk and Chapel in a post STV environment, which is not my norm (post TMP is more my speed). Spock plays a significant role here for those who tire of K/Ch fics that don't include him as much. This has the things I like the most: insecure Kirk, damaged Chapel, & unlikely friends.

All he wants is to go home and make amends...and all she wants is him. The Enterprise is the answer to both. But it is another's desire that spells danger for their love and the crew of the Enterprise. Several OCs (and Kevin Riley is in this story, too). Please review! UPDATE: Finished!

It's been noted that I've never done a Scott/Chapel. There's a reason for that: I don't find the character attractive, although like McCoy he often steals the show with his wit. So it was a challenge to write something for them that didn't feel "false." To make this work, this also is a Spock/Chapel. Not my normal Chapel, although after so many stories, what does that even mean?
