In one of my graduate classes, we were studying the effects of homelessness on learning. Our teacher gave us a list of vocabulary words and asked us to write a short story using those words. I'm not sure this is what my professor had in mind, but I hope I did justice to the point. The title refers to the fact that about 13 million children in the US are homeless.

Spock is fighting a war that is not his. His only goal now, is to be reunited with his bondmate.
